The Bah Humbug Bad Boy

Rate this book
‘tis the season to be grouchy.

Marco Amorelli doesn’t hate Christmas, he just really doesn’t want to spend his free time helping his grandma with her Christmas decorations and lame Christmas party. Too bad his mom thinks it’ll “be good” for him. And if that wasn’t frustrating enough, now he has to deal with a certain attractive—loves to wear tacky Christmas clothes—overbearing girl who’s determined to show him the ins and outs of being holly and jolly . Is she for real?

Last Christmas, Fallon Bauer was dumped by her now-ex. This Christmas? She just wants to enjoy her favorite time of year without thinking about you-know-who . So, when her neighbor asks for some holiday help, Fallon is more than glad to lend a hand. She wasn’t, however, expecting to work with Patton High’s bad boy: Marco Amorelli. The guy is a total grinch! But helping him find some serious holiday cheer could be a sure way to keep herself distracted from feeling heartbroken…right?

What happens, though, when sparks fly between them and more than snow starts falling?

~The Bah Humbug Bad Boy is a grumpy vs. sunshine/stuck together/bad boy YA holiday romance. This book has kissing and flirting, but there is no swearing or other explicit content.~

The Bah Humbug Bad Boy by Pixie Perkins.
This book follows two (Polar Opposite) Characters as they found themselves stuck in decorating together. Marco, the "bad boy" wasn't a big fan of Christmas and didn't like the thought of helping his grandma decorate her house. Fallon, on the other hand is crazy about Christmas, everything about her screams "Christmas". When her old neighbor asked her to help decorate her house, how could she not say yes? What a surprise for both of them when they found out they are to work with each other. They couldn't even stand each other, but you know what they say; opposites attract ;). When sparks fly as they spend more and more time together, can they put their differences aside and love each other as they are?

My Opinion: This book is like drinking hot chocolate with extra candy canes!!! <3
Where to begin? I am in love with Christmas, I love everything about Christmas and it's the time I've always waited every year. There's just something special about this season that makes it so special and magical. I love Christmas books of all kind! I was scrolling down the author's page and something red and green caught my eye. In an instant, I knew that it has something to do with Christmas and it's going to be my next read. I wanted to start the book as soon as possible, sadly, there's always these horrible things called; Studies and Chores. Halfway throughout the book, I was in love with it! I know that I need to give this magical book a review!
~
I love how Marco always wants to kiss Fallon, it's so adorable, I love how sweet he is despite his "Bad Boy" front. Marco has this vibe that when people first saw him, they will get the wrong impression, that he is cold, rude, bad. But inside, there's this cute and soft snowman which not all people sees. He only shares his real self with people he likes. Isn't it intriguing to have that someone who only shows their true self to you? Kudos to @Auhtor for making me dream of that someone.
~
I love Fallon because she is a very relatable, because like her, I'm over the top when it comes to Christmas. I like her bubbly personality and how she cares for the people around her. She is all smiles and jolly. I love how she is singing/humming Christmas songs 24/7... Truth is- I often listen to my Christmas playlist even before Christmas, even in the middle of summer! I wonder why people keeps looking at me weirdly when I was blasting Christmas music at the beach, XDXD. Fallon is literally my soul book sister, our love for Christmas match- I just gotta find my "Bad Boy" XDXD.
~
I love this book because: It is Christmas theme, the characters are relatable, it makes me smile goofily at ink on paper inside the screen of my kindle, Sweet plot, Cute scenes that makes me say "aww", it's beautifully written.

Do you ever see a book and you just know you're going to love it before you ever start reading it, and you end up being right? Because that's what this book was like for me!

My Christmas season was super busy, so I didn't get to begin this book until the evening of Christmas Day, but it totally captured my attention. I didn't want to put it down until I finished it, but I had to, so I ended up completing it in less than two days. It was just the story I needed to wrap my Christmas up with. (Pun intended 😅)
It was so much fun, filled from start to end with funny, sweet, and romantic moments.
Fallon and Marco were delightful to read. I enjoyed their interactions and how well their relationship worked for being an "instant attraction" romance.
I loved both of them equally as much and had fun reading from both of their perspectives. Their opposite personalities meshed so well and their development throughout the book was well written, even with the story being on the shorter side.
I had a suspicion there was going to be a “misunderstanding” twist, and there was, but it was one that didn’t get blown out of proportion by the characters and was resolved quickly. I was SO glad.
I also was pleasantly surprised by the twist on the “bad boy/good girl” trope, which is one of my favorite tropes.

Even after finishing this one, I just keep thinking about it. It’s a great read for Christmas or any time of the year. It's definitely going on my list of favorites!

I absolutely adored this book! Marco as the not-really-bad "bad boy" was hilarious! His witty remarks and antisocial heart of gold made my whole day! His personality really shone throughout the story!

Fallon was a total sweetheart even if her obsession with Christmas made Marco cringe in the beginning!

Their chemistry was so palpable and I was HERE FOR IT! Their little moments warmed my heart and had me reading the book way faster than I intended! (I usually try to savor my books!)

This was a swoon worthy and sweet read that had me counting down the days until next Christmas! The perfect read for a quick escape from reality!

Thanks to the author for providing my review copy! I loved it!

Best Christmas read this year, a heartwarming story with a meddling aunt who loves everyone and wants only the best for them. The ups and downs of love, the trace it leave on our hearts, good and bad ones, it is beautifully written so you will fall in love with all the characters in this book. It made me dream about when I was younger and in love. I highly recommended it.

Cutest Christmas Romance

I don’t think I have ever read a cuter book… or in Marco’s word “adorable.” Both MCs were LOVABLE in the most natural way from the very beginning and in opposite ways! Marco defines the term grump at the get-go and Fallon is pure Christmastime Sunshine. I found myself giggling and squealing (which I RARELY do in books!) because of how flippin’ cute this book was! It was a low key slow burn between them and had the perfect amount of tension, push/pull, with opposites attract. YA romance is a genre I enjoy but am not typically drawn to, but this makes me want to seek out the rest of Pixie’s books to see how adorable she’s made her characters! I knew from the start this was going to be a 5 Star read, from the beginning it had me hooked and I read it every chance i got! If you like sweet romance with Christmas themes you’re going to LOVE this book, too!!

Romance Done Right

I can’t gush enough about this book. The hero was so, so well done. It’s hard to pull off a “bad boy” in a sweet Christmas romance, but Marco Amorelli was PERFECT. The emotional pacing of this one was spot on! I struggle to connect and root for romance heroes and heroines sometimes, but I swear I felt every feeling these two did…including the incredible chemistry. Combine that with all that with the feel-good festive small town and I had a book on my hands I couldn’t stop reading. Romance done right!

Decorating for Christmas . . .

It’s such a joy to find a book that brings out feelings so well that the reader feels them right along with the characters. It may also just be that Christmas is my very favorite season, which puts me in a mellow mood before I even start reading.

This story gives us the Christmas Spirit colliding with Grinch in a fun story line that will keep the reader chuckling. Marco Amorelli is proudly displaying his Patton High bad-boy attitude toward decorating his grandmother’s house for Christmas. The next-door neighbor, Fallon Bauer, is Christmas personified and can’t wait to get started on the decorating. The two of them are primed and ready for a clash.

Both have pre-conceived notions about each other so it will take a little adjustment as they work on the project together and begin to see things in an entirely new perspective as they help each other and contribute ideas. Nothing clears the air faster than witty banter, and these two have it to spare! This project is doubly good for Fallon since it keeps her distracted from remembering her breakup last Christmas. Building new memories can take the sad ones away, so this is just what she needs! She will have an entirely new enchanting focus this year. And if she can send a little joy to Marco, that sounds like a win!

Grab you copy and see if Fallon and Marco are finally caught up in the Christmas Spirit together and ready to have fun. The nicest thing about Christmas is that you can spread the love over the entire year ahead. And there can never be too much love in the world!

I was in the mood for a cute YA Christmasy read, and this book didn’t disappoint! When grinchy ‘bad boy’ Marco and Fallon—the poster girl for Christmas spirit—have to work together to decorate and plan for a Christmas party, their previous feelings associated with Christmas and their first impressions of one another begin to change. Which makes for a fun story with sweet characters!

I loved Fallon’s ongoing list of what she thinks a ‘bad boy’ is and isn’t, and Marco is so funny with his thinking one thing but doing or saying the opposite. In general their opposite personalities are great together. Though there is obvious attraction at first sight, I appreciated that there was tension and conflict to resolve that kept their relationship from going too smoothly too fast. I also enjoyed both characters’ family relationships even though most of them were more in the background.

Overall this is a quick, sweet read, and I recommend it if you’re in the mood for a cute YA Christmas story too!I

Thanks to the author for providing my review copy. What can I say about this book? Fallon is a girl who got her heart broken last Christmas but still manages to be a Christmas fan (maybe to a cringe-worthy extent) and lover of candles, Christmas and reindeer antler headbands. Marco on the other hand is her complete opposite. He’s grumpy, introverted, and a total Scrooge (or is it Grinch?)

What I loved about the book is that despite the title, Marco is no cliche, typical “bad boy.” Instead, he’s just a guy who happens to be a little bit anti-social, but it is adorable to see how he opens up to Fallon and learns to enjoy being social more throughout the book. It was also lovely to see Fallon remain her positive and talkative self despite Marco’s constant grouchiness.

Total: 5/5 hot chocolate and marshmallows infused stars!

I really enjoyed this festive story of love, growth, and not judging a book by its cover. There is so much to love about Marco Amorelli (but, then again, I've always had a soft spot for bad boys, LOL). I did notice that some of the dialogue was a bit mechanical and on the cheesier side (but that's probably just because I'm a writer myself). I also might've liked to see a little more plot foreshadowing, but those are tiny adjustments. Overall, it's a really fun premise and I think clean romance readers of all ages will enjoy everything the bah humbug bad boy has to offer!

Such an adorable story. I really love Marco and Fallon. All the girls think they have Marco the bad boy all figured out but not Fallon. Fallon full of Christmas Spirit and kindness wants to know the real Marco not the rumors and stories. Can Fallon’s Christmas cheer rub off on Marco? Will He open up to Fallon and let her see the real him?

This was cute and even had a couple swoony moments. 💘🤗 I recommend if you enjoy YA, opposites attract and grumpy/sunshine, and Hallmark Christmas movies, it gave me that vibe, if Hallmark Christmas movies had a teen channel. Which why isn’t that a thing? I would’ve loved that growing up!

Also I really like Marco’s sweater, I want one ☕️

You can't judge a book (Marco) by its cover (leather jacket or rumors!). I really love the Fallon took it upon herself to get to know him despite rumors. Very good ya love story! Brought me back good memory of high school days :)
