This is the real life story of a pastor who because of his decisions, he lost his job, his home and almost his family. In this autobiography, you will meet Mickey, a guy who had all the charisma to lead a growing church but didn't have the ability to control his own demons that were placed on him at an early age. Taking the life of King David as a pattern, you will notice that we have a little David in all of us. From being chosen at an early age to be on the big stage to even having extra-marital affairs. This book offers hope for the person who needs to find redemption in their own life. Mickey exposes himself to the readers in this autobiography in hopes of saving marriages, relationships, and ministries. By learning from his mistakes, he hopes the information found in this self-help book will help you come to terms with your shortfalls and give you the boldness to address some really tough issues including sexual addictions, self-abandonment, adoption and depression, You are not alone! There is someone who knows what you are dealing with, and the answer is found in this book. I decided to be transparent about all of my decisions to show you a side of God that is unlike many of the churches. He doesn't judge you and throw you away. He literally picks you back up and embraces you in his loving arms." - Mickey Bell If you know someone who has made some decisions in life that has thrown them backwards, this book is a must-read for them.
Self-serving and whining from beginning to end. I Am David is about a pastor who wants everything given to him without having to work for it. He whines and cries his way through his story and doesn't even miss the ultimate "poor me" - "someone touched me when I was little so you have to forgive me for being a filthy pervert". What a pitiful excuse for a book! Take a HARD PASS on this one!!!!!
Mickey’s spiritual journey is one often traveled but seldom discussed. His willingness to share the trials he walked through to help others is the true love of Christ.
Recommend this book for anyone facing spiritual battles.
