Short MC Read

Hunter/Falcon was former mafia and now is the Pres for Hailstorm MC who also work with the FBI. Marissa has an admirer in the form of a mafia madman. Now he has kidnapped her sister and will return her for either $100,000 of he will take Marissa in exchange for her sister's freedom. Once Hunter finds out about this he will stop at nothing to help Marissa.

This was a fast paced MC read with a lot of action and steam.

Mix MC, Mafia and FBI....

Hunter is the first book in the Hailstorm MC series. This is a mix of MC, Mafia and law enforcement, but done in a new way that I have never read before. The book introduces some of the MC which is made up of former Mafia men. The MC used to be an outlaw group but a few years ago they were all wiped out/put in jail and now these new men have taken over the MC, installed by the FBI actually. This story is about Hunter Russo and Marissa.
Hunter is the son of the Mafia head of the Familia Russo. His father was a cruel and twisted man and Hunter helped the FBI destroy his father's mafia empire. As a result he was given a new identity, the name Falcon and requested he be the Hailstorm MC President to clean it up. The FBI has just come to the MC clubhouse to meet as they want Falcon and the rest of the MC to help take down Giovanni Caldon, the head of the Caldon Mafia Family.
Marissa is a talented violinist who has found herself in a very bad place. At night she plays at various clubs, bars, events and parties in NYC. Almost three months ago she was playing at a club when she was asked out by a man to dinner. She declined the invitation not realizing who it was, Giovanni Caldon. Giovanni did not take the refusal well and the next week he kidnapped Marissa's eighteen year old sister. The deal was that Marissa had to pay Giovanni 100 K or become his. Marissa took the payment option and was given three months, either the money or she was his. Since then Marissa has been playing her heart out in more ways than one. She plays at night and then also on the street in front of a restaurant during the day, for tips that people drop in her case.
Marissa has a couple of weeks left before the deadline and she is close to getting all of the money that is needed. One day she is approached by the most handsome man she has ever scene and he wants her to play at a club he runs and they arrange for her to come the next evening. Thus Falcon and Marissa meet. There is instant attraction and more between them. Falcon can sense there is something Marissa is hiding and he wants to help her, protect her and make everything good for her. Will Marissa turn to Falcon for help with Giovanni? Will Falcon take vengeance on Giovanni for what he has done to Marissa?

This is a different story that I felt was interesting and definitely fast-paced. I am not sure about some of the mixing of mafia, MC and FBI as it struck me as sort of outlandish. But I went with the story and enjoyed it and the characters. There are some twists and the ending leads into the characters of the next book.

Marissa has been put on an awful situation. She plays the violin and one night while a man approached her and asked her out to dinner but she declined. After that night she was given the worst news ever. Her sister had been taken and I'm order to get her back she had to come up with $100,000 or be with the head of the Mafia. Marissa did everything she could to make money. Any place she could get paid to play she played.
Then one day Hunter while playing at a little cafe.
Hunter was part of the MC but was working along side of the FBI. Trying to bring in the head Mafia guy.
After meeting Marissa he knew this was going to his girl.
One night after laying at a club Marissa came home and found that her bank card was taken amongst other things. The next day at the bank they told her all her money was gone. Not knowing what to do, she went home to think. After not going to work Hunter got worried and went to her house. What he found was a distraught Marissa. She explained everything to him and he put the plan in motion to get her sister back and to take down the head guy threatening to take away his woman.
Later they found her sister and hundreds of other girls. They were for human trafficking. After a visit to the hospital, she was reunited with her sister.
Hunter confessed to Marissa that he loved her and she confessed the same. They are both happy but they need to make sure all the girls are ok and that's where Damon comes in.

Marissa had never thought that she would be in the situation that she was in right now, after she declined a dinner invitation with a man only to find he had the power to destroy everything that she had and take the most important thing in her life away from her, her younger sister. Now she has weeks to find a hundred grand. Playing her violin outside cafes and clubs she is within sight of her total, especially after she meets Hunter and he offers her a job at his club. But who is this man who has suddenly taken such an interest in her and her life and can she really out her trust in him or will she and her sister pay the price?

Hunter has led a life that you only see in the movies son of a mafia Don he chose the life he wanted when he worked either the FBI To take down his family and take over as the President of an outlaw club. But they need his help on takin down another family and it becomes personal when he meets Marissa. Taken by her straight away he would do anything to take away the sadness in her eyes. But when she discovers who he really is will he be able to convince her to give them a real chance or will his past destroy his future?

Loved this book and I can’t wait to see what will happen in the future ones I love a good MC book. Highly recommended and I think this is my favourite by this author so far. 4.2* read

This is a great short story. I love all things mafia related or Motor Cycle Club related and it had the best of both. Hunter is the head of the Hailstorm Motor Cycle Club he and the other members are now helping the FBI bring down members of the Mafia because some of them are former mafia members. When this book opens we find out that this young lady named Marissa plays a violin and she plays it so well that she sets up to play in front of Hermes Cafe in Manhattan. He lets her play and take all the proceeds because she brings in so many customers. She has a sister named Kayla who is 18 and has been taken by the head of the Caldon Mafia Family, Giovanni he has given her a ultimatum he knew she would not be able to meet one way or the other. He told her that she had to pay him 100 thousand dollars within the next three months after taking her sister or she would become his. Hunter is this gorgeous man with messy black hair and hazel eyes with tattoos on his arm, he should be on the cover of GQ. Marissa is a soft curvy beauty with long black hair and blue eyes and a talented violinist. It was filled with drama, angst had plenty of suspense and did I say plenty of drama. It was really a good book for the first of this series. I highly recommend this book. It is a good read.

Hunter is book 1 in a new series by Alexis Ashlie. The Hailstorm MC is led by Falcon, former mafia king turned MC president. Falcon(formerly Hunter) is the new name the FBI gave him when he got a new identity. He and his MC brothers help out the FBI by cleaning up the streets of bad guys.

The latest target is Giovanni, the Caldon mafia head. He wants Marissa, a beautiful violinist. When she rejected him, he kidnapped her sister. For her safety, either she must pay him $100k or be his. When Falcon meets to hire Marissa, he feels the electricity as does she. Can Falcon help Marissa and her sister?

Hunter is a quick paced, quick read. There is lots of heat between Falcon and Marissa. I kind of wish this had been a longer story. I would like to see more of their relationship but there was a ticking clock. Hunter definitely has me looking forward to more from these guys. Nice twist on the MC club.

Sweet, this is a new series for Hailstorm MC. I am so excited I know this series will be just as good if not better than the other series that Ms Alexis has produced for us to all read and enjoy. President of the MC is the first we learn about. Boy, oh boy, this bad boy is something to desire. He knows what he wants and will do whatever to get her. She is trying to get money to save her kidnapped sister. She doesn't want anything to do with any criminal, so he is no different than the kidnapper that wants her. But she doesn't know everything about his MC. They are asked to help get this kidnapper, which now it is not only for the FBI but also personal when he learns about the relationship that she has to the mafia he is after. Can he get her sister and win her heart? Will she be willing to love a criminal even if she says no?

She will not turn her back on her sister, so she starts working from morning to night. She is playing for money outside a cafe one day when she meets Hunter. She's taken at how handsome he is. He is the epitome of tall, dark, muscular and handsome. When Hunter sees Marissa he can barely get past her perfect curves to see her gorgeous face. She is perfection in a curvy body and the way she plays that violin is incredible. But Hunter has a feeling this woman won't be interested in the President of the Hailstorm Brothers MC. But he's determined to make her his. Will he still feel that way when he finds out who is after Marissa? The answers are right at your fingertips. All you have to do is read this book and you seriously should read this book. It's that good.

Wonderful, fast paced short story with secrets, angst, and undeniable instant attraction between Marissa and Hunter.

A favorite moment of mine is when Hunter asks Marissa for a drink after she is done performing at the motorcycle club. The banter between them is witty and their chemistry is apparent by the ease of which they converse. Still, they each are keeping their own secrets.

Ms. Ashlie is able to grab your attention from the start and keep you hooked while packing a lot of action into the short story. This is a great way to kick off this new series and I recognized some of the members of the MC as those who the next books are focused on. (There is no mention of what their story may be so there’s no spoilers)

This is Book 1 of a the new series Hailstorm MC. Hunter is the president of the club but was formerly the head of a mafia. He now has a new identity, thanks to the FBI, and works with them to cleanup the streets. Marissa is a beautiful and talented violinist, who is trying to raise $100 k to free her sister from the mafia king, Giovanni. He wants Marissa and have her two choices, either become his or pay the $100 k within 2 months. When Hunter first sees Marissa and hears her play, it isi start attraction for them both. Hunter knows she is keeping secrets from him. When Hunter finds out his next target is Giovanni and his connection to Marissa, he bound to take the man down. Short quick read that is entertaining and intriguing. Looking forward to the next book in this new series

Hunter is the President of the Hailstorm MC and Marissa is a violinist who needs to raise money to get her sister back from the mob. Can Marissa raise $100,000 in a month to get her sister back or will she be taken as well? What will Hunter do once he finds out what is going on in Marissa’s life? Warning: This read is an entertaining, page turning, fast paced, emotional read that pulls you in from the very beginning. I recommend this book

Marissa is trapped in trying to rescue her sister from Giovanni, the head of the Caldon Mafia. Marissa has a huge ransom to pay for her sisters release or Marissa will take her sisters place. Hunter is the President of the Hailstrom MC who along with his team of brothers work with the FBI to bring criminals down. Hunter takes a liking to Marissa when he hears her play her violin. He is trying to figure out what Marissa is hiding and why she needs to work all the time for money. When Hunter realizes what is Marissa's secret, he will stop at nothing to help her get her sister back because his team is after the same man. This is book #1 of the 'Hailstorm MC" series and this series is off to a great start. Enjoy!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Hailstorm MC series. In this book, Marissa is a violinist who is trying to raise money to rescue her sister from a mobster who took her in hopes of making Marissa submit to being his. Marissa doesn't want to belong to anyone and is desperate to raise the money, so when she is asked by Hunter to play at his club, she agrees. Hunter needs new entertainment for the club and when he sees Marissa, he wants her for himself too. Hunter and Marissa have a connection and when he learns of her problems with the mobster, he decides to take matters into his own hands. I liked this book. I liked Hunter and thought his MC was a group of good guys who only want to do good, but not always the legal way. Good one.

This is an MC story with a twist. The current Hailstorm MC is made up of former mafia-gang types after the old MC was wiped out. The FBI brought these guys in to work with them as the new Hailstorm MC. Hunter (Falcon) is their president and the son of a the dead leader of the Familia Russo. Marissa comes to the attention of Giovanni Caldon, the head of the Caldon Mafia Family. She tries to stay away from him but he kidnaps her sister to force her either pay up or become his. She was earning money to pay and then she meets Hunter. There is a lot in this short book and it all happens fast. There is steam, drama, action, suspense, and some twists. Overall a super fast steamy read

Hunter is the first book in the Hailstorm MC series. The book has an interesting storyline, with Hunter being a former Mafia head who then becomes President of the Hailstorm MC. He also has a strange relationship with the FBI. The story is short and to the point, with Hunter and Marissa knowing right off the bat that they belonged together. It is a quick read, with only six chapters, but the pages pack quite a punch. The next book in the series, Damon, picks up elements of Hunter. I am already reading it.

This is the first book in Alexis’ new MC series and it was terrific. Amazing characters with an intense story and plenty of steam. Marissa is a talented violinist working to make money to buy her sister’s safety from a mafia leader. Hunter is the president of the Hailstorm MC and is drawn to Marissa. There is so much to Hunter’s past along with his MC brothers that you know this is going to be a good series. Also the added level of suspense is well done. The book is over before you know it and has you craving to read the next one!

This is the story of Hunter (Falcon) and Marissa. She was a violinist that need to collect one hundred thousand dollars to pay the rescue of her sister by the mafia leader. Hunter is the president of a MC club that works with the FBI to clean the city. Hunter contracted Marissa to play in his club but fall in love with her. He didn’t know the story about the kidnapping of her sister. FBI requested help from the MC club to catch the mafia leader but this time is personal. Hunter won’t let Giovanni to take his woman.
The book is full of action. Loved the characters and the plot. Highly recommended.

A Knight’s Love For The Damsel -
Marissa had been suffering through hell because of an obsessive psychopath, when Hunter came into her life, but he seemed to give a new reason to live. However, her path to happiness isn’t smooth sailing and it would take a miracle to help her find true happiness. This short story will break you heart, but also put it back together by the time you finish reading it. Once I started reading it, I enjoyed it so much that I just couldn’t stop reading until I finished the book. This book definitely deserves an hour or two of your uninterrupted time.

Marissa Is in way over her head when she turned down Giovanni. Giovanni Is a mafia boss that takes her sister in exchange for money Marissa has to pay to release her sister or turn herself to him. She working her fingers to the bone playing her violin to make the money. Hunter is the president of the Hailstorms MC (with a big secret to clean up the MC ) he sees her playing and makes a deal for her to play for his place. These two have some heat going on but she thinks he’s just as bad. Will she get her sister safely back? Can Falcon help? Will she know the truth? A great entertaining read!

When hunter spots Marissa playing he's instantly attracted to her but it puts him in the path of Giovanni. What Marissa soon realizes is Hunter is Pres of Hailstorm MC and can take care of himself and her if she would only let him? this is well written filled with drama, action, suspense, insta loving MC/mafia romance.

Hunter is the beginning of the Hailstorm MC series, this fast read is full of danger, suspense, protection, family and loyalty. When Marissa made a simple refusal, she did not expect her life to be turn upside down. 100K or to be his, Marissa was doing everything she could to get her sister back. Hunter is the Pres of the Hailstorm MC, with the help of the FBI and his previous life, he make sure the MC is above board.

Short story with a very good story line. Marissa has been targeted by the head of the mafia. He gave her two options either she becomes his or pays him $100,000 in three months. He has kidnapped her sister and Marissa is only short roughly $8,000 to be able to pay him off. She has worked hard to earn the $90,000 she has in her bank account only for the head of the mafia to steal it from her. In the meantime, she has met Hunter. She needs to rely on him more than she knows.

Great page turner...
I won't detail the story which has essentially been covered in previous reviews but I was invested from the get go. Loved the main characters & their undeniable sizzling attraction. The heroine was a concert worthy violinist, the hero a bad boy turned not so bad with the support of the FBI. He steps up to help her but can he also win her heart? The author has given us a great start to a new series. We are pulled into the lives of the Hailstorm MC members and given a bit of their backstory. Hunter/Falcon is President and when he hears Marissa play her violin, he realizes not only how talented she is but also that she needs to be in his life. The story is short but keeps you turning the pages with lust/love, suspense, danger and action.

Hunter/Falcon ex con, now President of MC. Marissa, violinist working hard to get money to pay mafia dom Giovanni who has kidnapped her sister as collateral otherwise she has to become his. A chance meeting between them when he sees her playing and wants to hire her for upscale entertainment for the club's upscale restaurant. Despite differences in opinions attraction and love wins and Hunter deals with Giovanni.

This is a surprising new twist on a MC series. The club actually aids the FBI. I never knew which way the story was going. It’s very entertaining and intriguing. I really enjoyed Hunter and Marissa’s romantic love story. There is a great lead-in to the next book in the series, Damon. Can’t wait to read his story. Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This story was about Hunter and Marissa. Hunter is the son of the Mafia head of the Familia Russo, Ex Mafia head turned MC president whose club works undercover for the FBI. Marissa's sister had been kidnapped by Giovanni a mafia boss.

Would have been five . . .

The story was good, even if it did take me a good minute to get into.

I felt like the author was covering everything that needed to be covered until the end. It was very rushed, no epilogue, and it just also sort of ended with him telling her everything, but no dialog. Just basically "that's when I told her everything. The end."

Happy for now type of ending.

Very good introduction to the series
It's a very short romance which is the first episode of this series. The story is good, hot, but, maybe due to the length, a big part towards the end gets bypassed and missed me in the problem solving of Marissa, the violinist, by Hunter, the club president bikers.
