Lacey & Alex #2

A Whole New World

Rate this book
Mechanical creatures, dirigibles and dark deeds abound, and the Queen rules ruthlessly.

Our heroes wind up in a “whole new world” where steam and mechanical cogs are king, hydrogen balloons still roam the earth, and an evil Queen holds sway over her people.

Alex has been drawn there to take the place of the recently assassinated “Lady”, and Lacey is her “Knight” - the former Lady and Knight having been killed by the Queen.

In this new world, Alex can do far more than simply talk to plants, and Lacey is “hot” in a whole new way. But, will it be enough to depose the Queen and save the world?

Delightful, weird Steampunk fantasy, this is an interesting contrast of dangerous adventure between ever closer friends. In contrast their amorous counterpart lives her own trials and tribulations in our world. How they intersect is what makes this story so different from everything else out there.
I'm enjoying this series in unexpected ways, I hope you'll give Lacey & Alex, and their special someone your attention.

Interesting

Not bad, but this book does not flow as well as Tapscott's previous works. Disjointed in spots.still an entertaining read

Fun read

I like sci-fi, but this has a bit more fantasy than is my taste. All the same it was an enjoyable read if a bit odd for me.
