The fire in our marriage was flickering, losing its flame the further we drifted apart...But after seven years of marriage, I refused to let our fire die out,or be extinguished by someone who wanted everything I had.*Please note, this is book three of the ‘Forever Yours’ series. Each book can be read as a standalone.

Lia & James marriage was falling apart. They were barely communicating with each other. Lia was dealing with the after effects of having a baby & James was feeling neglected. So what did he do? Started confiding with his secretary about his marriage. Sh*t hit the fan.
I’m glad they were able to go to therapy & work out those marital woe issues. Lia and James proved that tough times may not last, but their love is unbreakable and forever ❤️
Heyyyyyy Kiyah & Nixon. I’m glad they are still flourishing 🥰 Their story is in the first 2 books of the series.
Loved this story to pieces. We see what confiding in the wrong person can do to a marriage. I loved that the couple reached out for help and actually made it work for them in the end. I was rooting for James hoping he wasn’t on that sneaky stuff. When Lia said I know this man I felt that. Such a great story. Also glad the drama with Melanie didn’t go to the extreme. It was the right amount to keep me turning the pages.
Okay, we all know love and marriage aren't always easy. It's more difficult when extra people insert themselves where they aren't needed. The author told their story, made sure to pass blame according, and helped them heal. I thoroughly enjoyed this love story.
First off I love me some Kyle. I need him as my new friend. James and Lia went through the typical marital struggles and its hard. Juggles some many different titles and positions you’re bond to drop the ball on at least one. It was a journey worth traveling
I’m all for this.....I loved everything about this story...I’m happy that ShanicexLola took a chance on a married couple that faced very real marital circumstances...emotional affairs happen quickly and often and just like James, it starts off with needing to vent and it grows quickly out of control. I’m happy that they fought like hell to make their marriage work! Great work!!!!
A good, well written story about two Black people in love. I wish stories like this were easier to find. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will definitely be reading other books by this author.
I do this thing where I enjoy reading every book that an author puts out. This is my first introduction to this author and this was a really great series. I enjoyed the characters and love that the final book was about a married couple and attacked serious problems that Can hurt anyone’s marriage. I genuinely can’t wait to read the rest of her work.
I love how you showed that all marriages are not perfect. Lia and James went through some things that all couples go through. I am glad they went to counseling . I love this couple.
This was a wonderful series. I enjoy Leah and James story they're so meant to be together. Unfortunately there are haters that never want to see you happy and want what you have. Once again it was an absolute pleasure reading this book🙂.
This had me with my heart in throat, y'all! I was nervous as heck about what James might have done! Whew! But, have mercy, brother played with fire a little and almost got burned! There is nothing more painful than having to here what's goes on in YOUR marriage from some triflin' outsider!🙄 James and Li-Li made the same mistakes a lot of couples do--closed themselves off and stop communicating with EACH OTHER. That mess is dangerous, you hear me?! ShaniceXLola, I'm glad I was able to relax after awhile, but for a minute there, I was like that wise old lady at the nail shop! I'm naturally a lover not a fighter, but Melanie or whatever that skank's name was needed to be brought down a whole heap of notches with the hands! Let me stop!🤣🤣 But I loved the talking, the listening and the hearing that went into this couple's healing.💖💖
What an emotional read! I felt for both Lia and James, as they navigated their new normal becoming parents. Lia, trying to do and be everything for her family, quickly became overwhelmed and started to drown. Instead of telling her husband about it, she suffered alone and pushed him away. James, never even realized what was happening with Lia. He just knew he was lonely and missed her. But, what you can never ever do, is air your dirty laundry outside of your marriage! Especially with someone of the opposite sex! I loved how they both owned up to their part in the communication break downs, and fought for their marriage. Great catching up with Kiyah and Nixon's nasty selves! 😂 Gotta love Kyle and all the crazy and wisdom that he brings! Good job! 👍👍👍
Come Alive was a story very near and dear to my heart. I could sympathize with Lia as a first-time mom struggling to be both wife and mother, while managing her own feelings of self-worth. Glad they went to counseling, many couples don’t make it for lesser reasons.
I like Lia and James but basically their story could have been told with some bonus chapters at the end of Kiyah and Nixon’s story. Lia and James did not need a whole book. Their story could have been condensed down to no more than 3 chapter
James and Lia realized that they were both lacking at communicating. Happy they chose counseling. Mrs Sharon got them to realize where they both was going wrong and she helped them get back right
I love how this book shows how lack of communication causes certain circumstances that could’ve been avoided. It shows how that lack causes other outside forces to come into play. Great book!
This was a great story. After having a baby Lia and James were not communicating. James confiding in Melanie devastated Lia. I liked how James took responsibility for his betrayal and worked hard to repair their relationship. Kyle was a great friend to Lia. Lia and James had a perfect ending
Lia and James’s journey was so relatable, but still so engaging and sexy. It was really realistic. I felt both of them so much. I am so glad it was a HEA!
It was spicy. The dynamics in their relationship as well as the fight to get back was realistic. The issues that women deal with before and after birth: emotional stability, body image, desirability, and the list goes on. You may even have to resort to outside professional help. It's how bad you want it. I'm glad they wanted it.
This is perfection. Shanice writes gold every time, like the complexity, the emotion, the angst. I was up late reading it and woke up and got right back to it. The story had all the things I loved.
I liked that while James didn’t “cheat”, he still was guilty of harming their marriage and that’s real. People ignore these kinds of problems then they lose out on relationships.
Lia, I felt her pain, and I’m glad she was going to therapy and finally when she told James about her struggles, I was happy for her.
This couple had so much chemistry (when they got it back) and you can tell they were best friends before lovers.
