The plots are getting a bit more connected and Yuna is actually having a little bit of difficulty with monsters now, though it's pretty easy for her. I also enjoy seeing her make friends. The extra stories all being at the end helps as well, and most have at least some new content.

More of a 3.5 than a 3, this one is definitely better than volume 5 and the opening act of Yuna escorting a bunch of rowdy kids who don't believe in her bear powers is hilarious, after that's over the plot shifts to back to sorting out the Mirira/Crimea merger which volume 5 spent a majority of the book on, but here it works better since we're getting more direct character stuff as Anzu comes to Crimonia and starts her fish restaurant with some of the girls Yuna had saved in volume 4. The new restaurant arc is nice, but everything afterward feels more like a teaser for volume 7 and several chapters are spent establishing the problem she'll have to solve in the next book, which isn't bad but it does end on a low-key note. I liked that there were more illustrations than usual this volume, that was a nice surprise.

Read in Japanese and even though the first chapter or two felt a little tougher than usual, I found my reading stamina seemed to get better, I usually can only read 3 chapters in a day, but I managed 4, 5, and even 6 in this volume some days, so I guess my speed is improving a bit as well.

Better than volume 5, but there's still a lot of mundanity here. On the other hand, there were some stellar jokes in this one which made up for all the shop talk.

Yuna goes off with Shia and three other students, guarding them on a school exercise. I mean, it's a set-up for all sorts of hilarity, right? And it was inevitable that there'd be a kickass fight at the end of it. So, the first half of this is excellent. The second half is mostly about setting up a fish restaurant, but it's not lacking in entertainment.

One interesting thing of note: the more the books continue, the more Yuna sounds like her animated version. Back in the beginning, she was not quite so, um, wisecracking for want of a better word. She used to be a girl addressing an audience and saying what happened. We get more editorialising as things go on, almost like she's more engaged with her audience. Personally, I like it.

Next episode, golems. And I'm inclined to rush right in, but I feel I should take a break and see if there's anything else I might like. We'll see.

Out of all the books so far, this one was the least entertaining. Mainly because it didn't feel like Yuna's story until the later half of the book. The first half of the book Yuna is babysitting and letting the students do all the work. Plus in terms of action there was only one small scene. I preferred the second half of the book. It felt more cozy and fun. Plus had good set up to the next volume which should hopefully be full of action.

Not the best in the series, the whole student trip felt very long for little reward, and the rest felt more like an in-between than anything.
