This was such a funny and fluffy read. Short and fast-paced, but uber-cute, the title Thinking of Deer Fei Fei is very fitting for how much of an innocent Bambi Fei Chang was. It’s impossible not to love Chen Yueyang’s number one fanboy, Fei Chang, whose crush on his idol is obvious to everyone in the entertainment industry except himself. 😍 He’s so endearing with how he goes about it, you can’t help but cheer him on, with the hopes that Chen Yueyang will eventually put him out of his misery and admit that the affection is actually mutual. 💌
I loved how he fawned over the extraordinary, perfect, sexy, overbearing beauty Chen Yueyang; which, actually is a correct euphemism to use, seeing how Fei Chang’s slightly above average height had him towering over him like a giraffe, whereas Chen Yueyang was the graceful antelope that danced and pranced his way on stage and into Fei Chang’s heart. 🩷🤍
“Senior brother, why didn’t you bring bodyguards with you today ah!”
Chen Yue Yang gathered together his scattered shirt and said lightly: “Aren’t you here?”
“……” That, that was right oh.”
Their subtle casual flirting was adorable. 🥹 Fei Chang is so determined to keep his feelings for his surpassingly beautiful senior in check, to let his star shine, that he somehow always lands himself in precarious positions. But, you can’t help but admire his loyalty and dedication, how he wax poetic adulation for him - in his head, of course - despite how shy he is about himself – never thinking he can measure up to Chen Yueyang, even when he’s the only one who can perfectly keep in time with him. 😳
Chen Yueyang may appear slightly reserved and distant, but Fei Chang's overall joy at breathing the same air as him, let alone his bursts of enthusiastic support that’s so infectious, it really is quite impossible to resist his charm. And uff, their chemistry was insane -- ly hawt! OMG, the dance, the BK underwear commercial filming --- ❤️🔥🫠
“Do you understand now, what it means to be seduced?”
Yep, that was Fei Chang's spontaneous combustion and then some. 😅 🥵
“Chen Yueyang asked again, “Where is Fei Chang? Will he be buried with me too.”
“He is different.” Jing Jiren’s voice softened, “He will voluntarily accompany you to the grave.””
The FTL (fan translation) was well done, with lots of humor and witty play on words that were fun. 👍🏻 Although, I would've liked if the giraffe-antelope allusions and the repetitive reminders of their height differences could have been toned down just a smidge, along with some of the crazed fan theatrics written with a little more finesse, and a bit less melodramatic. I also felt it was a shame there was no spice and barely a literal kiss between the two. Ah, I'm such a prude for wanting more smexy times. 😆
Still, it was a good time, an enjoyable Saturday morning read that was refreshing and entertaining and a nice change of pace from my heavy angsty reads, so I can't complain too much. 🥰 Oh, and a special shout-out to Chen Yueyang's agent, Jing Jiren. His tongue in cheek comments aimed at his client, as well as advising Fei Chang to rein in those emotions was hilarious, but also very poignant in his observance that there truly was no fan more loyal and dedicated than him. 😌

I thought it would be sweet and cute but I was wrong. Also the author just couldn’t keep their mind out of Cheng Fei’s pants.
Chen Yueyang basically used the fact that Cheng Fei seemed to like him, and I think It’s very much messed up that when the electricity went out Yueyang lied to him about being scared in the dark and told him to touch him to confirm that he’s trembling, only to make him touch his naked chest and whisper in his ear “is it good to touch?”
And when Chen Yueyang almost drowned and Cheng Fei performed artificial respiration, Yueyang counted it as a kiss and also called him out for being clearly not straight. He said “Feifei, is it ‘coming out’ or ‘not coming out’?” and almost immediately said “No, is it “sleeping with me” or “being slept by me”?” meaning GOING TO THE POINT OF EVEN FORCEFULLY HAVING SEX WITH HIM IF NECESSARY.

This was another funny and cute short story. Fei Chang (MC) was such a lovable and endearing character because he was described to be over 1.9m in height but he was shy and naïve, hence the author comparing him to a giraffe. His thought processes made me laugh and his uncontrollable reactions when Chen Yueyang (ML) was around were funny because he was just so inexperienced. I'm glad that after many months of skirting around each other, CYY finally made a move so they could start their relationship. Otherwise, FC would've been just content being a fanboy of CYY for life.

I didn't realized how short this is until I finished it in just one seating.😅
So basically Fei Chang is a huge fanboy of Chen Yue Yang. And this story is how their lives suddenly entangled.
This is leaning more on the sweet side and it is a slice of life kind of story. It doesn't have that much plot and I feel like it's lacking on the sweetness and fluff too.
It was okay-ish for a short read. But I wanted more.

This is a perfect read when you want something funny, and cute. It’s such a cute fluffy story about a fanboy who has a crush on his idol, but he’s oblivious on how obvious his crush is lol.

Its so cute and full of fluff i might as well have just eaten a full pack of those big halloween candy packs.
Cute short read, 10/10 would recommend as a little heart soother after reading angsty and dog blood filled danmeis.

Short, quick read. Most of the jokes hinge on how naive and good nature the main character is. It's not my sort of humor and honestly gives me secondhand embarrassment, but it's not bad enough to stop me from reading.

This was such a fun story and I really enjoyed the dynamic between Fei Chang and Chen Yueyang, they were so lovely together. And the references to HHLX made it even better!

It is way too short but it is definitely cute. The author has a unique writing style which is slightly different from other BL novels.
Only MC and ML are the main focus of the story. Many side characters' name isn't even mentioned. They are just given some weird nickname by MC. The relationship between MC and ML doesn't get enough development but it is healthy. Both of them respect each other which is very rare in Chinese BL novels.

It took about half a chapter for me to start smiling. This story is super short but absolutely adorable.
MC is majorly tall but the most fluffy ball of sunshine ever. He's a major fan (but one whose trying and failing to be covert) of the ML and follows him like a puppy tripping over himself. He goes from undebuted and unknown to having completely accidental minor amounts of fame (mainly due to ML in one way or another).
ML is a popular idol (also tall, but not as tall) who ends up taking care of his junior. He seems a little standoffish for about 2 seconds before becoming majorly attentive and taking care of MC.
Overall, super short and very, very sweet.
