A chance encounter with a stranger might just change two lives forever.
Going home to Scotland for Christmas is the only thing Ilythia prides herself on doing at Christmas. Family gatherings, eating and drinking too much, and crashing on the couch with games is her idea of heaven at this magical time of year.
Until her plans are destroyed.
A cancelled flight, cancelled plans, and stuck in New York with no family is her idea of hell…but her path collides with a stranger and things don’t look as dull.
Damon hides from Christmas. Nothing about the festive season is remotely happy for him. Give him work to hide away in the shadows with any day. Alone is where he’s happiest.
However, when Ilythia and Damon meet for the first time, sparks fly, temperatures soar, and the chemistry is off the charts.
Will Damon and Ilythia be able to change their way of thinking, take a walk on the wild side, and enjoy a different Christmas?
Ilithia just wants to get back to Scotland. But fate has decided to trap her in NYC. Damon hates Christmas and just wants to escape his family firm Christmas party. They meet at a local bar, both trying to drown their festive season sorrows. But Ilithia realises that the quiet guy is also a part of the company which competes with her own. Can anyone say awkward!
The connections these two share is instant, even taking in all the obstacles being thrown in their way. They both get out of their self-imposed comfort zones and open up to each other.
A great way to get into the mind space for the festive season. Fab read!
Excited to be going home to Scotland for Christmas, Ilythia was ready for the family gatherings, eating, drinking, and chilling on the couch playing games. But then the flight was cancelled and she is stuck in New York alone.
Damon does not enjoy Christmas and prefers to bury himself in work. But meeting Ilythia brings a strong reaction he has never felt before. Will two unhappy strangers find a way to give new meaning to Christmas? Or is this what Christmas has always been about?
Ilythia and Damon meet at a hotel bar where he is staying out of the way of his families business Christmas party. She has come to drink away her disappointment of not being able to get home to Scotland to be with her family for Christmas. The story is well written and held my interest until the end. This is a new Author to me. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A great quick read from K.M. Lowe, loving the dynamics of this couple. Both not where they wanted to be at Christmas they are drawn together by some kind of bond. Deciding to spend the holidays together will romance blossom?
Ilythia and Damon bring out the more steamy side of K.M.Lowe and I hope we get more from this couple in the future. Especially if this is the kind if writing they bring out of K.M. Lowe.
A lovely Christmas novella from the fab K.M. Lowe. I've been looking forward to this book and it definitely didn't disappoint, putting me into the Christmas mood even more! I loved the bond between Ilythia and Damon and how their love for each other overcame any obstacles. Really loved the epilogue!
Another great story from KM Lowe, I love the chemistry between the characters and they showed that you can enjoy Christmas when your plans get changed.

A great festive novella to get you in the Christmas spirit. They say opposites attract and Llythia and Damon were certainly brought up in completely different worlds. After getting stuck in New York at Christmas Thia goes to a bar to drown her sorrows. At exactly the same time Damon tries to do the same as he escapes his work Christmas party. Neither of them were looking for love or a relationship but love works in mysterious ways. A great feel good read.
Ilithia has just had all her Christmas plans to return to her beloved Scotland for the holidays with her family canceled. She stops by the bar where she usually gets a drink after work and meets the quietest man ever, Damon, a son of the Brewster and Sons arch competitor of the company she works for, Forester. From the beginning, they each feel they have met their soul mate. This is so true they each go beyond their normal self: he by asking her to have pizza at his home a block away and she by accepting an invite from a 'stranger.' This turns into an insta-love that was quite good. A great holiday read!
This novella is about Ilythia and Damon. Ilythia’s stuck in New York but wants to be at home with her family, while Damon dislikes the festive season. After a chance meeting in a bar, there’s instant heat and chemistry between them. One that’s hard to deny. With their different ways of living, can this ever work between them? Grab yourself a copy, curl up on the sofa and enjoy this sweet read with plenty of steam to keep you warm. Perfect Christmas romance read.
A short Christmas story that gave me all those wonderful sentimental gooey feelings like you get from the Christmas hallmark films. Just what you need to get you into the seasonal spirit. I must admit I'm not a party person and like these characters I'm happy on my own or just with those I love, so I could empathise with both in that way. Two people meeting at a bar, one escaping family, the other sad because they couldn't be with theirs, sparks and instant bonding. I loved the romance and chemistry, the way Damon does his best to give her a special Christmas despite not being whith her family. Sweet and sentimental story with some hotness thrown into the mix, I loved it. Started and finished 24/10/21
The perfect Christmas Novella Ilythia is going home to Scotland for Christmas to be with her family until her flight is cancelled, leaves her stuck in New York. Damon hides away from Christmas, be alone and working in the family business Brewster and sons, and these two are about to meet and sparks fly Thia is going home with a stranger for Christmas. Just perfect to curl up with a hot drink and enjoy all the chemistry these two share, family ,friends cannot keep them apart they are made for each other and from different back grounds it's not easy. A heart warming story of love and companionship all rolled into one, from this author as she has delivered another beautiful book to her readers.
I love a christmas read especially when it gives you all the feels ready for xmas. There is just something magical about romance for christmas. And this one didn't disapoint. He is hiding from his family businesses christmas party cos he hate xmas and just wants to work through it. She wants nothing more than to get home to her beloved scotland and her family for festive holidays but when her flight is cancelled the pair end up in the same bar. Thing soon get even worse when they realise they are rivials companies. This is such a great read and would recomend to anyone looking to a christmas read over this festive period. A well written short from K. M. Lowe.
I absolutely love Christmas romance reads so when a favourite author of mine releases a Christmas story, it's got to read.
Damon would rather be anywhere else than at a company Christmas party, he is happy by himself, doesn't have time for relationships until he meets an angel at the bar. Ilythia shouldn't be sat in a bar, she should be on flight home to Scotland but it got cancelled. Now she won't make it home for Christmas, maybe the stranger in the bar can brighten her spirits.
Damon and Ilythia have an instant connection that pulls them both out of their comfort zone, which makes for a brilliantly written, festive and steamy read. I highly recommend.
loved it !!! love Damon and Ilythia... this is their story... a fast paced drama... Thia is stuck in NYC, her flight is cancelled... she cant go home for the holidays... bummer !!! Damon is hiding out at the bar... away from his families Christmas party... he would rather hide and work... Thia goes to the same bar to drown her sorrows... she recognizes him ... a rival business... but, sparks soon fly... a sweet holiday love story...

This was a quick and fun read about two people Ilythia and Damon who meet at a bar while he is escaping having to socialize for work and family and she after her flights back home are cancelled. There is insta love but also wariness on Thia's part as their families are quiet different so Damon has to really show that she is all he needs and how much he loves her and it all leaves me hoping some hot guy will sweep me off my feet just like Thia.

This one focuses around Damon & Thia. Both book editors whose companies are rivals. They meet at Damon’s Christmas business party & hit it off immediately. Although there is resistance towards Thia by Damon’s dad, the two decide they are meant for each other and power through his judgement.
The end shows a glimpse into their life two years later. In this epilogue, they are engaged & welcome a baby on Christmas Day. Baby Eve 👶🏼
Overall, their chemistry is great, there’s a little spice, has a decent plot & a HEA 🤗

This was such a cozy next to the fire and cuddle up with some amazing hot coffee and a snack kind of book.
I did just that and couldn't stop reading. I love romance, and I love Christmas. Throw in a stranger that you know nothing about that you can't help but not get enough of? I'm in!!
I absolutely loved this book!! I am really excited to read more! .

A story about love and hope at christmas. Ilythia and Damon are two very different characters, but they're more alike than they even realise. This is a little more on the steamy side compared to what I've written before, but it will warm your soul on a winters evening.
Highly entertaining, heartwarming, and fun holiday adventure filled with witty and engaging characters, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. This journey was so emotionally thrilling and so hard to put down. Great reading
