My stories are not sweet or kind, they are dark and, at times, cruel. They deal with uncomfortable subjects and I do not apologise for it.

**Audio Update **
THOMAS LOCKLEAR.... wowza, he brought it all to the table with his portrayal of Luca. And, if you know anything about this man, it's that his narration extends to perfecting believable female voices, including Luca's Firefly! I loved reading this book and the audio even more!!
I'm speechless! SPEECHLESS!!
I cant wait to listen to this audio because the book is indescribable.
There are entirely too many spoilers to accidentally spill in this book so I'm going to tread carefully.
We've ALL been waiting on Luca and who he's been secretly texting with.
This book also starts off a bang and the storyline hooks the reader immediately.
Fans and loyal readers will absolutely adore Firefly. Love how she got her nickname from Luca.

Oh my, Luca is everything and then some.
This story contains everything that you would expect from L Ann, emotion, pain, more emotional turmoil.
Luca is a revelation, not what I expected but everything I wanted him to be.

Delicious!
Couldn't wait to learn more about Luca, the drummer for Fogotten Legacy. He was always such a mysterious dark horse and understandably so. Things he'd done or neglected to do were haunting him and he began to wonder if it was all worth it. One misdirected text in a vulnerable moment changes his life forever and along with the anonymous woman who received it...his unexpected lifeline and saving grace.
Everleigh felt the world was better off if she just stayed in the shadows and accepted her fate as the scarred and unlovable woman she was, so when Luca barged into her life like a man on a mission, he managed to make her see that the fear that ruled her life up to that point was controlling her happiness.
I loved Luca and his dominant, confident demeanor but he had his own demons to overcome. Together, could they find the way to trust and love themselves and each other? Everleigh was quietly observant and stronger than she gave herself credit for..her true, spirited essence came out when Luca pushed her and boy did her loved doing that! Steamy, intense and enlightened was how their relationship was evolving and I loved it all!! Being a part of Forgotten Legacy's world was an eye openjng experince for Ever but she handled it well. Loved the even though she started out with inexperience, she didn't back down from the challenge of being with someone like Luca.
While Luca and Everleigh settle into their love, another is facing the possibility of losing his own. The next book can't come soon enough for the readers of this band of brothers and their loves...it's going to be rough waiting for the conclusion of this series.

I can’t get enough of this author- her stories are so enjoyable, full of emotions and each book pulls you in further.
Exquisite Scars is the fourth book of the Forgotten Legacy series and centers around the drummer, Luca. We have been teased of Luca’s story throughout the series ( I recommend reading this series in order to get the full effect, especially with this particular book).
Luca’s story absolutely did not disappoint! I COULD NOT put it down. It blew me away instantly and I drawn in from the start. Lots of different emotions and twists. Getting to see the other couples added so much to the book, the entire band dynamic is so good.
It was heartbreaking reading what Luca went through in the past, and I needed more of their story with each page turn. Luca and his heroine met in such a unique way that I loved. You could feel the instant connection. It was wonderful watching them grow and change (in good ways) both separately and together as a couple.
Luca is such a swoon-worthy character I couldn’t get enough, he has so much love to give and is evident in the way he treats the heroine and the relationship with his friends. The female lead of this book has such a beautiful story and getting to see things from her POV was great!
I can not say enough good things about this book, hands down one of my favourite reads. The ending…...just WOW!
Highly recommend this whole series!

All the freaking stars! I loved this book and I think it’s my number one favorite of the series. We have followed This band and each of its members through all the series. And honestly Luca has never been one of my favorite people but holy Toledo Batman. He blew me away, his gut wrenching story killed me and the way he just was through this book was everything. This story is a true love story. Love seeing beyond everything straight to soul and just not taking no for an answer. Beautifully soul wrenching and heart bursting all wrapped up into a broken boys love story! Couldn’t put it down and I’m already dying for the audio so I can listen to it again!!

Well L.Ann, another layer to Forgotten Legacy. Wow! Luca's story , dare I say, was a beautiful read. Don't get me wrong, smooth sailing is not what I am saying.... Beautiful. Emotional. Self belief! HOT! Frustrating, but oh so beautiful!
Family has a different meaning to so many, but I love all the versions of family here.
I have to say this gave me laugh out loud moments, burning eyes from heart felt, raw emotion, anger...as in you dumb arse! Oh, can I say that!

This book and more importantly this series is absolutely amazing! The author does an amazing job with making you feel like you are in the middle of the story and are sitting right in the middle. If you love rockstars then I would 10/10 suggest this book!

Luca… just the drummer, right? Wrong!
Let me start by saying YOU NEED FORGOTTEN LEGACY IN YOUR LIFE!
When you love music and follow bands and find yourself singing along, you don’t stop to think how much emphasis is put on the guitarists and front men but occasionally you do think ‘who’s that?’ before realising it’s the drummer. So when I started reading and heard the words ‘just the drummer’ I instantly thought to myself he’s right! No one ever wants the drummer. Even before the book was written I was thinking it would be my least favourite book because I’m not sure how interesting he would be.
L.Ann has created such a wonderful character who holds his own against the others and every time he uttered the words I found myself thinking no! You’re not just the drummer! I love that the Hh relationship is started blind, by accident and there are no preconceived opinions, just two people connecting. You feel that connection and the growing sexual tension. Every scene I felt like I was pulled in and I was absorbing every word and page faster than I had with the previous books. Several chapters in and Luca was my favourite which is saying something when I’m already somewhat obsessed with Dex.
The female lead is probably the best yet too, she’s not soppy or simpering towards the Rockstars, even has no idea who she’s going on a date with, she’s funny; intelligent, but when you see how this changes around the family matriarch it makes you silently rage; until Luca makes her realise her worth. The book really hit me emotionally with the family scenes, Luca’s family torn apart, the graveyard, the reunion, the snippets of Harper and Gabe, the intimate scenes. It was just so wonderfully put together and yes there is the tiniest of cliff hangers at the end but it only made me anticipate the next and last book that much more!
I really do love the whole community that comes with these books too, the social media interaction between author and fans that brings the FL guys to life, the discussions on what happens next all while the author probably cackles in glee at the destruction she’s wrought in our lives!
It’s safe to say I absolutely loved this book, If you’re considering giving it a go this please please do, you won’t regret it, start with the first book then read on and maybe even check out the shifter world too as they intertwine at times!
My only complaint? Not enough action containing the body guards! I’ll save those for my imagination I guess! 🤣

Forgotten Legacy's European tour has ended and Luca decides that he needs to take time off from the band. The band is ready to cut a new album and can't wait any longer, so they fly to England to convince him to come back. He still hasn't figured things out and tells himself that the band can easily replace him. To let some of his feelings out, he writes an apology text and sends it to Lexi's cell, but someone else is on the other end and sends a text back begging him to talk to her since she could sense his pain. They begin a "textual" relationship and grow closer each day. Firefly understands Luca's pain because she's been through the same thing. She lost her father in a car accident; her mother was left in a wheelchair, but her little sister survived. Firefly and Luca are just right for each other, meet at the right moment and have a chance to heal one another's pain. This story is so very sweet and delightful and their HEA couldn't have been better. This is a story that made my heart soar!

If you read Guarded Addiction you will know what happened to Luca’s twin Laz when they were young . Luca has always blamed himself for not being there to save Laz and then when Lexi committed suicide he feels he let her down to . He’s about ready to self destruct when he decides to send a text to Lexi’s mobile however he must input the wrong number and an unknown person replies asking him if he’s ok and if he needs help and against his better judgement he replies.The start of Exquisite Scars carries on the text conversation between them and in turn she ends up saving Luca from himself and his darkness. I’ve always thought Luca was a huge dick a typical Jack the lad but after this he has my heart hearing Luca’s tragedy from his POV impacted me a little more than the previous book and you begin to understand why he’s the way he is . I can’t wait for you all to read Luca’s story and the girl who saved him and becomes the most important thing in his life ❤️

The Title Says It All-Exquisite!
Luca. One word that says so much. I’m just going to say it…I loved this story. Luca and Everleigh’s relationship developing from a wrong number text was the perfect start for them. Not physically seeing each other enabled them to develop a deep relationship that snuck up on them. Luca, and his dominant personality was the exact thing Ever needed to let the person she was take over. L. Ann has done it again with another member of Forgotten Legacy, while still letting us stay involved with the former members she’s written about. She warned us on social media about the SMALL cliffhanger, but I must say that size is definitely in the eye of the beholder. I trust L. Ann and will TRY to be patient for Book 5 that she says is coming soon. Damn if I’m not even more invested than I was before in Forgotten Legacy.

WOW! I feel like a broken record, but L. Ann never disappoints ! How can I fall in love with every character over and over again ? Luca grabbed my interest in the earlier books of the Forgotten Legacy Series , but now I have fallen head first !
You will swoon over how passionate Luca is and get lost in the little world he and his mysterious woman have been living in. They bring out the best in each other as they both return to the real world !
And let’s not forget the rest of the Forgotten Legacy Men. Secrets and truths unfold around everyone and we get to know them even more !
This book has everything from passion, compassion , sexyness, angst, to heartbreak and beyond ! You will not want to miss this !!

Okay kids, so here's the problem with this book: everything I could say about it is a potential spoiler. Basically, this is one of her best books yet, and I think you'll be surprised by the dynamic Luca has with his mystery lady. We definitely see a different side of him, and it's just... everything. We also get a look at some of what's happening within the band, and baby I AM HERE FOR IT. *sigh* I want to say all the things, and I can't because you need to go into this a little blind. It's phenomenal. The over all tone is a bit different form the rest of the series, but in a refreshing and lovely way. I think you'll like this one even more than the rest, honestly. That's the best I can do. *zip lips and back away slowly*

Well this author definitely knows where to make it hurt the most. Luca and his Firefly was such a great couple. So cool to see who it would be to tame his demons. I absolutely love this group of very alpha guys and their firey women. Such fantastic combinations. I love Luca's vulnerable and soft side as well as his firey side. It was wonderful to see Luca and his firefly battle for and help the other to heal. Im so glad they got their hea. Although there were times I wanted to throw my kindle and yell at the author. I still love this series. Each book is such a great story. I love them all. Highly recommend this series.

I started this series at book four now I have to go back and read the rest. Wonderful story telling.

My mind is still reeling from the enormity of emotion that is coursing through me after this read. I knew in the first few chapters that Luca was going to rip my heart out, but I had no idea I would also fall so hard for him! His story of heartache, redemption, pain, defying expectations, and love has absolutely endeared me to him & his true love. Prepare to completely blow off all adult responsibilities until you've finished this book, you won't be able to put it down!

Lee Ann never disappoints with her books , this is the fourth book in the Forgotten Legacy series and I've throughly loved every single book . This one is about Luca the drummer and like the rest of the band he doesn't disappoint , dont want to say to much cause I dont want to spoil it but you'll have some mixed emotions in this book. I think I'm a groupie , I love them all the whole series is a definite must read .

Once again L Ann drew me into the world of Forgotten Legacy. This time it was Luca and Everleigh's story which was heartbreaking, inspiring and totally unforgettable and for me the best in this series so far.
Forgotten Legacy, despite their fame and fortune have had to deal with some heartbreaking and painful events featured in the previous books in this series. Book 4 starts with the Luca's return to the fold. He is still blaming himself for Lexi's death and on the advice of his therapist he decides to send her a text message asking forgiveness even though he knows that she will never get it. He dials the wrong number and is shocked to get a reply from a total stranger who is concerned about him and offers him help and friendship. This friendship between two soon develops into so much more and something that will change both of their lives forever.
Everleigh left scarred due to an accident that killed her parents has been made to feel that she is not good enough by the people she grew up. Though she is still a nameless, faceless girl to Luca Everleigh has found a purpose in her life by being his friend to someone who doesn't judge her. Luca is tired of living in the limelight even with the rewards that go with it and meeting Everleigh has given him the chance to be just a normal guy, but he cannot leave it at messages he is needs to meet this girl who has got into his head and heart.
Luca arrives like a tornado and totally turns Everleigh's world upside down. He quickly becomes her knight in shining armor ready to protect her from even her own family. He helps her to gain the confidence to be the person she can be and to want more out of life. Everleigh's honesty, gentleness and kindness soothes Luca's soul so that he was able to rise above his demons and forgive himself Though these two were so different in many ways they each recognized something in the other that would bring them the peace and happiness they both were seeking.
Yes I was in tears in parts of this story, but I also smiled many times and felt uplifted to read about someone who after having such a hard life was accepted for who she was not how she looked and she how she had the courage to go onto a much happier future with the man she loved.
A superb addition to the Forgotten Legacy series not to be missed.
Forgotten Legacy, despite their fame and fortune have had to deal with some heartbreaking and painful events featured in the previous books in this series. Book 4 starts with the Luca's return to the fold. He is still blaming himself for Lexi's death and on the advice of his therapist he decides to send her a text message asking forgiveness even though he knows that she will never get it. He dials the wrong number and is shocked to get a reply from a total stranger who is concerned about him and offers him help and friendship. This friendship between two soon develops into so much more and something that will change both of their lives forever.
Everleigh left scarred due to an accident that killed her parents has been made to feel that she is not good enough by the people she grew up. Though she is still a nameless, faceless girl to Luca Everleigh has found a purpose in her life by being his friend to someone who doesn't judge her. Luca is tired of living in the limelight even with the rewards that go with it and meeting Everleigh has given him the chance to be just a normal guy, but he cannot leave it at messages he is needs to meet this girl who has got into his head and heart.
Luca arrives like a tornado and totally turns Everleigh's world upside down. He quickly becomes her knight in shining armor ready to protect her from even her own family. He helps her to gain the confidence to be the person she can be and to want more out of life. Everleigh's honesty, gentleness and kindness soothes Luca's soul so that he was able to rise above his demons and forgive himself Though these two were so different in many ways they each recognized something in the other that would bring them the peace and happiness they both were seeking.
Yes I was in tears in parts of this story, but I also smiled many times and felt uplifted to read about someone who after having such a hard life was accepted for who she was not how she looked and she how she had the courage to go onto a much happier future with the man she loved.
A superb addition to the Forgotten Legacy series not to be missed.

This review will be vague because part of the joy in reading L Ann books is you never know what you will get and it is the way she peels back the layers of story that make her books engaging page-turners!

This book was fantastic and is one of my favorite reads for 2021! Not only was Luca's story excellent, but we got glimpses into all of the band members' lives. L. Ann’s writing is exceptional, and you will be immediately sucked in and reading all night (and most likely sending angry DMs at 0230, or maybe that was just me... oops). The characters have depth and at times it’s hard to remember that Forgotten Legacy isn’t a real band. The plot is captivating, the romance steamy, and the twists and turns... have mercy! L. Ann is back in time out... and it’s those twists and turns that put her there LOLOLOL!
I loved this book, and the entire series. Just when I think I can’t love a character any more than I already do, L. Ann steps it up and gives me more reasons to love/hate these rockers! Every book has been a five star read and every book has been one of my top reads/favorites! A must read romance with all my recommendations! A top 2021 read!

No, I soooo do not forgive nor trust you to make things right!
I have so many things I want to say about Luca and Firefly's story but I in no way want to risk any of the events that occur in this episode.
And yes it is an episode. Each book in this series does highlight one of the band members but it is also about the four of them -
Their past - their present and their possible futures - if they can pull their chit together long enough to have one!
This does end on an HFN for our couple and just like real life things are ever-evolving.
That being said - No peeking at the end - Corral your inner curiosity and ride this one out - it will be worth it

Exquisite Scars moves readers on to the next leg of the Forgotten Legacy journey for an intense and emotional read!
Luca Tallorico, drummer of Forgotten Legacy, always knew how to have a good time until he did not. He carried his pain deep and lived in a state of self inflicted torture. Small town librarian Everleigh Johnson lived a life in the shadows never dreaming that she could be more than a burden and afterthought. When this couple found each other they were at a point where their tragedies started to define them rather than moving past them.

I've had this waiting for over a week. I KNOW what I am going to get with an L. Ann rockstar and I KNEW what Luca held would kill me in some form or another. So, I waited. I ate cookies, kept tissue by the bed, ran daily to destress for the stress and I bought a very large bottle of cheap wine.
I still hadn't prepared enough. Since Gabe's story I've wanted Luca. Each of the men has come bearing pain and deep wounds. Each has had a longing that wasn't to be match with a fire's intensity. Each tore me up. But, I waited for Luca. And each mention of him as the stories unfolded, built my angst and ripped at my sanity. He was and is the one I waited for. The one that killed me and made me rise again.
While each story can be read as a stand-alone, I will NEVER suggest it. To know Luca, you need to know his brothers, his sisters and all their grief. Like looking at a historic house and knowing it has a past, but refusing to understand the past while appreciating the beauty of the present. It is very possible, but so much more can be had from the whole story.
Luca and Firefly "met" under special circumstances, fighting the building attraction through words. Knowing that it started from pain and coming to terms with the fact that beautiful things can grow from the ending of other beautiful things. All sorts of triggers lie within these pages. But, getting beyond your own pain through the pain of others is how you grow.

What is it about broken bad-boys that just blow my skirt up? Lordy, Luca, what have you done to me?
So, we have Luca who's struggling with his past and his motivation to just keep going. Texting an apology to someone he thinks he failed, who will never see the text, ends up going to the wrong number - and thank God it did. What started as a wrong number ends up being the most right thing he could have done.
Then we have Everleigh. She's got her own struggles, a war between believing in herself, or believing the voice of doubt and self-deprecation. That one wrong text from a stranger in despair changes everything and leads her to a life she never could have dreamed for herself.
These two, both broken in their own ways, find in each other the strength, love and future they both desired. It was just beautiful. Oh, and HOT!! Did I mention HOT? HOT! HOT! HOT!!
These boys of Forgotten Legacy have been so amazing to follow. Each one, a total hot mess and the women who saved them. This one ends on a bit of a cliffy, so brace yourself - I literally gasped and whispered "Nooooooooo....."
I need the next one ASAP. Time's a tickin' L. Ann. Better get to the writing cave!!

Reviewing this book is so hard to do because whatever you want to say is going to spoil the story and events that happen within. So I'm not going to summerise the story or tell you anything other than how this book had me reacting. Oh and I had a lot to react to.
Exqisite scars had me screaming, crying then laughing, at one point I was just shocked with pure disbeleif. Yep thats what L.Ann does to you. It was an amazing ride of emotion on all levels. If you are a fan of the forgotten legacy series you will be delighted at the romance and steam that happens between Luca and his lady. Oh boy and the steam levels were up 1000%. The chemistry between these characters is fever pitch. Luca is a naughty boy!!!! In the best possible way.
Lucas lady is not like the other girls in this series but she complements and fits in well with the rest.
So if you have'nt read the first three books in this sreies I insist you do because one they are awsome and two you need to know what happens to really enjoy Exquisite Scars.

The fourth and final member of FL....
The drummer and the librarian made an awesome couple. When I read the other books in the series, I was always wondering what the deal was with Luca and what his story was. He was nothing like I thought he would be...he was so much more. Out of all of the characters in the band, he is it. Everleigh was just perfect for Luca. She has her own issues, but Luca gave her what she needed both in and out of the bedroom. Those sex scenes were woohoo...hot! This is not a book for the weak, that is for damn sure. Do not read this or listen to it when it comes out in audio unless you're in a safe place because it's that hot. I love a book that keeps me guessing and engaged and this one surely did. If you haven't read the other books in this series then you've been missing out...seriously.

Luca is one smart cookie! Learning from those around him, he doesn't repeat their mistakes- he makes plenty of his own, no need to borrow others. He has grown so much and been thru a world of pain. That wrong number text was the best screw up he ever made.
I don't think there is anything about this tale I do not love. Both the H & h are fantastic characters. Our h just needs a firm hand and a reality check- she is adorable.
Forgotten Legacy, as a whole, is a tremendous world to immerse yourself in.

Luca’s love story is perfect!
Luca Tallorico, the hot as sin drummer in Forgotten Legacy, has the sweetest love story. He is everything the woman who saved him needs. Together, they heal each other in the best ways. I love this story and Luca’s HEA. But Gabe… *sigh* book 5 cannot come fast enough.
L. Ann does it once again and continues to prove that she is indeed Queen of the angsty rockstars we all need in our lives!

This is one of the best Rock Star series I have read.
This is one of the best Rock Star series I have read. Luca is incredible. This has everything I have come to expect from the series: emotions galore, suspenseful storyline, fantastic characters and sexy steam. Another fabulous read.
I am eagerly anticipating the next book but scared too! Definitely will be ripping my heart out I expect.

Just yes
I have been wondering about the mysterious Luca for awhile now and I was so happy for his story. Everleigh is perfect for him.
This story just drew me in and I couldn't put it down. Another amazing book in this series
