AVERY
I built walls around my heart.
Determined to keep the world out.
But when you are as well acquainted with loss as I am, you’ll do almost anything to protect those few last shards of yourself that are still intact.
I walked into the clubhouse looking for a place to hide, a place with no strings.
Not expecting to get wrapped up in a club president who knew how to get what he wanted.
And he wanted me.

SHOTGUN
I was a leader.
The hard decisions were mine to make.
Though it was nothing new, I’d been making them my whole life. When my father tried to destroy the club, I chose my brothers, sacrificing my freedom to prove my loyalty to a family who didn’t share my blood.
When Avery stumbled into the clubhouse, my calm was instantly drawn to her chaos. I craved control, and Avery was searching for someone to take it so she could feel something other than worthless.
When my world was turned upside down, she stepped up.
Her strength keeping me standing.
And there was no going back.
So when danger comes calling, looking to tear my family apart…
… it was going to find out just how far I’d go to protect what’s mine.

All the Club Girl Diaries books are honestly some of my most favourite MC books ever. I just have such a deep appreciation for how Addison writes these strong sensual women without Shade or judgment but instead empowers them. It's a rarity, especially in motorcycle club books to not shame the club girls. I love it and live for the girl power in these stories and the women supporting women vibe.

Avery and Shotgun were highly anticipated and so worth the wait. Both characters are a little broken and sad. They're both weighed down by the past and sins of others. I feel like that's why they made sense together. Avery and her need to not give up on those she loves unlike the people who where supposed to love her. Shotgun and his need to control everything because of how uncontrolled his childhood was. They soothed eachother like a calm to a storm.

Avery as a character is heartbreaking and breathtaking. Her strength and resilience is awe worthy but her fear and anger is also pretty prominent early on. The girl had everything she loved ripped away and the women ran before that could ever happen again. She's relatable in every way... from her fears to her fierce love and endless loyalty. Avery was perfectly flawed with so much depth I just connected to her immediately.

Shotgun is a hard man who lives his life with complete control. He's complex and at times difficult because his need to control is relentless but under that hard is a vulnerability that stole my breath away. His fears and his undoubtable strength. His sweet understanding and the protectiveness he has for those he deems his. He isn't an easy man but he is most definitely worth every moment of frustration.

Their journey is not an easy one. Both characters have a lot to figure out whilst dealing with the drama that surrounds them but I feel like it was paced perfectly for them. Whilst they were already together in some sense, neither one took those last steps right away because they both had things to work through separately and together. In saying that though... the chemistry is crazy explosive and their connection is undeniable. I loved them together because they just seemed to bring out the absolute best of eachother. Even in times of frustration. They just fit together perfectly. From the sweet vulnerability to the saucy shenanigans and banter and bickering.. it worked.

I love the slew of side characters and their larger than life personalities. I adore the little teasing sneak peaks into future possibilities for some new and old characters. I am so in love with the chemistry between them all and the crazy that happens when they're all together. I really didn't have a clue about how this story would go but I was all in from page one. It's action packed and suspenseful. It's hilariously witty and at times downright outrageous. It's swoony sweet and a little heartbreaking... it's an emotional rollercoaster with all the feels and the sweetest ending I ever did read. As a whole the character development is spot on and the plot progression is perfection.

Now I just need me a story about our handsome manny Adrian because I need more. He is the best.
I can't wait for what comes next. Also. HOLY HOLLY!!!.

This one was a bit different in that Avery didn't have the horrible past like the other girls, was there bad stuff, yes, just bad in a different way. I was glad that Avery found the club and created a new family. There has been a weird dance going on between her and Shotgun, it took them most of the book to figure things out. I loved it when Shotgun's surprise showed up and Avery quickly put him in his place about what he needed to do about it. I also loved the new guy around the club house, not a brother, not a prospect, an employee, who sure knew the right strings to pull to get a reaction.

I loved how this one ended, it was perfect for this couple and their future.

This series is MC gold. It has such a unique spin with all the things that make the biker world a fun fantasy.

Shotgun is the president and at the end of book 2 he was given quite a shock. But like all good leaders, he rises up. Avery is dealing with so much pain and sorrow that I was furious for her. This author keeps it real! Together they are stronger. Avery finds family that sticks and Shotgun is allowed to be a bit vulnerable.

If you are a lover of MC romance, don't miss this series. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Amazing book

Absolutely amazing book. Avery and Shotgun met one night of the hardest nights of Avery’s life but he didn’t do commitments and she was ok with that but over time she fell for him just like he fell for her. This book had surprises all over it. I couldn’t put this book down. I highly recommend this book. I don’t want to give anything away just know that Avery loves hard but is afraid to let people get to close. I love this series and can’t wait for more.

Sweet

This one was for me started a little further in the book where it left off with the cliffhanger from the previous one. I thought this was sweet and it highlights that family doesn't have to be blood it's who and what you choose it to be which is a great blessing

How old is Shotgun? I thought in a different book it put him in his fifties, but I could be wrong. I mean he disapproved of his friend screwing teenagers, but he’s dating someone in college, so.....
Not the point, point being- in the book he says he killed his dad. He shot his dad for being a snitch, a police informant. However, prior to shooting him, he called 911 to report that he was ABOUT to do so.... HOW is this man not behind bars? That’s PREMEDITATION baby! At MINIMUM he would be looking at 25 & even if he committed said crime at a young age, say 17, he would only be getting out at 42...well that might be possible I guess. Highly unlikely in the extreme, as the sentence is 25 to life, but possible....Now I have to go back & figure out how old he is.
Alright, I went back & it just said closer to my dad’s age (Myah’s dad) so how old is a dad of a grown woman? 45? 50? Yeah, I call bullshit!! Now he was patched in right before jail, but still for him to have worked up to VP of his previous club he had to put in some kinda years there. So best case scenario he got out at 42, he put in ? years at old club & now has been at new club for a year or two & is at max in his early 50’s & eligible to leave the state? Doesn’t add up!!! Not to mention not once in this entire book has he talked about his jail time!

I’m sorry idk why I am the way I am, but timeline errors like this bug the shit out of me. If I’m wrong, please explain how so I would be happy to be wrong! The inconsistencies literally hurt my head.

There was one line towards the end of the book that said it had been self defense- doesn’t work. I still don’t like it.

Great outlaw MC series!

This is the 3rd story in the series, but it can be read as a stand-alone, although some of the details covered in previous stories would be missed and the world building wouldn’t be as complete. There are multiple reoccurring characters, concurrent timelines and overlapping themes.

** If you have not read any of the previous stories, then the following may contain spoilers. It begins with background of Avery and Shotgun, and takes a little while to catch up with the ending of the previous story **

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, exhibitionism, voyeurism, spankings for punishment and pleasure, dubious consent; violence stereotypical of the outlaw MC genre such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, blackmail, torture, drug use, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, fighting, assault, rape, attempted rape, betrayal, subterfuge, domestic abuse, etc.

There are some grammatical errors, but nothing difficult to interpret. Mainly these were missing words, incorrect word choice and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

This story introduces Avery, her role with the MC and background. It also provides more information about Shotgun, how he came to be the President of the Arizona chapter of the Brothers In Blood MC, got his road name and some details about the mother of his son and how he came to be delivered to him (RE: Laken, book 2 in the series).

While the story / series has a plot with darker themes, for some reason they seem to be more about hope, strength and love.

I liked this book. I found the heroine to be a little annoying and I found the beginning to be pretty confusing.

Avery is a club girl who came to the MC after her sister was murdered in order to drown out the pain that she felt. In doing this, the club and its president, Shotgun, saved her from her downward spiral. Shotgun has wanted Avery for his own since the night she showed up at his MC. He knows that if he tells her everything he wants she will just run, so he brings her on as a club girl in order to keep her for himself.

Again, I found the beginning of this book to be confusing. It seemed as though there were location and time jumps right at the beginning which were not clearly laid out. Last time, I was willing to attribute a large part of my confusion to it being so long since I had read the first book but now I don’t have that excuse. I still found it just as confusing as in the last book so there is that.

I also really found Avery to be annoying. I get it she had all this trauma but I just hate it when one of the people in the couple continually pushes the other person away and hurting them in the process while saying that it is all to protect their own feelings. I understand the impulse but I always find it so annoying and over the top.

I don’t think that I would want to read this book again but I do want to go back and reread the original Club Girl Diaries because I remember them being so good.

Good read and continuation of this series

I am so glad this book showed up on my discover page. I have read this series and liked it. I liked this book too with the main characters of Shotgun, the President, and Avery his female interest. Avery visited the clubhouse with her friend Holly purely by accident. Avery has had trama due to losing her sister on her own birthday. Shotgun recognized the pain in her and took her in to the club. We really don’t get the details, just their initial meeting . Next the story jumped to when Avery is part of the clubhouse, supposedly as a club girl going to college and working at Empire. I wished we could have had more details as to how Shotgun and Avery progressed. There is violence and serious issues that occur throughout this book which are heartbreaking. It’s done in as part of the story and the experiences of these two main characters. I would definitely say that Avery and Shotgun are good for each other and bring the balance once Avery stopped running. As the reader, I was so glad when Avery accepted her place in the MC. It was a bit painful reading her thoughts that she would be cast aside somehow. Good read and drama. Read On!

A fantastic read!

I am thrilled that this author decided to release more books in this series! I absolutely loved the original Club Girl Diaries series, as well as the first two in this one, and this story was certainly no exception. With terrific characters, humor, drama, angst, heartbreaking tragedies, and many unexpected twists and turns, it's definitely a story that you won't want to miss!
If you haven't already read the original series and the first two books in this one, I would highly recommend that you do prior to starting this book. It's not necessary, but you will have a better understanding of the characters, their backgrounds, the club, and the dynamics between all of them. Also, there are a few other series with 1 or 2 books available that also have connections with this club and it's family. If you enjoy the above mentioned series, then you'll definitely love these as well. All of the books by this author (no matter what series) are absolutely fantastic, and you certainly won't be disappointed!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

I'm really looking forward to reading the upcoming books in this series! I really hope that there may be more to come in some of the other series too! ;)

Never Disappointed

I’ve read so many books in the Brothers by Blood MC series. Each book just makes me fall more in love with the men that wear those cuts.
Shotgun is my favorite Alpha male type. He doesn’t take shit from anyone. Except for Avery. I love that he is protective of her but still allows her to feel free to make her own choices.
Avery is one of those very strong lead females. She’s had so many people disappoint her and leave her. She’s scared of letting anyone get too close. But she can’t stop Shotgun from breaking down her walls.
Each man in this MC is different, but are the same in a lot of ways. They are all fiercely loyal, protective, loving, caring, brave, and fearless. They are all willing to die to protect the ones they love.
I can’t wait to read more of their stories!!

Anytime Addison Jane releases a new Club Girl Diaries book it is like coming home. (I know that might sound cheesy but it's true!) Every book is better than the last... full of twists, turns, family, over the top alpha goodness, drama and one-of-a kind connections. We get to catch up with some of our favorites & follow the breadcrumbs of what's to come... and Avery was no different!

I finished this one in one sitting and then loved it so much I immediately read it again. I fell hard for Avery & Shotgun's story! These two had baggage sure but they really understood each other/saw past the surface and that's what made their connection so so special. I can't say enough how absolutely wonderful this read was and I cannot wait for more Brothers by Blood!

I really like this series by AJ and definitely couldn’t resist picking this one up. It’s been awhile since I’ve visited this authors clubhouse of bikers...but I’m glad to see Shotgun get his own story.

I liked the storyline and how Avery struggles with her own inner demons while Shotgun’s demons come out to play physically in full force. I liked their relationship and how he knows exactly how to handle her so she won’t run off.

I liked the nice twist towards the end. Not one I saw coming, and I pried myself on figuring things out before it slams into you.

The only thing I wasn’t a fan of- the bedroom scenes & outside club scene. I’m not down for someone who needs control during sexy time, so it’s not my favorite thing to read.

Avery has us back in the Club Girl Diaries world where shame doesn’t play a part and acceptance and loyalty is everything. Avery has suffered heartbreak and pain and falls into the arms of Shotgun on a night where she just wants to forget. Two people that are slightly broken and plagued by their pasts are drawn to each other. Their ride to forever is full of twists and turns and a few bumps and pot holes. As drama surrounds them these two need to take the final steps in being together. A story that has you on the edge of your seat and has the chemistry between them sparking off the pages. Their story is emotional, passionate, witty, sexy and has an ending that will steal your heart.

Life goes on

Avery hated her birthday. When she meet Shotgun the President she took a chance and became on of the club girls. Shotgun gave Avery what she needed the most security and family. Avery was to scared to take a chance but he waited. Avery was stubborn . But with time , danger and Shotgun unknown son she realized Shotgun was her ride or die. She lived him . They got their HEA. Great read

This is why I love Addison Jane. It took me back to Chelsea and everything that made me fall in love with the Club Girl Diaries (because I read it before Harmony and it is my favorite).

It is a story of loss, heartache, trust and growth. Avery and Prez Shotgun have been dancing around each other. Avery is drowning in sorrow and Shotgun is waiting for her to be ready so he can claim her.

This story was crazy good! Avery is completely loveable and a kick a$$ heroine. She's incredibly supportive but knows when her man is doing wrong. Shotgun is the most perfect book boyfriend. Together they have the most amazing chemistry! The story keeps you page turning but also has just the right amount of steam and romance to swoon over. And as typical Addison MC stories, it gives a fantastic family feel all around. My favorite in the series so far!

Another great story by Addison Jane, this story has action and suspense. The hero Shotgun is a great alpha male with the perfect mixture of sexy with a little bit of sweet. Both Avery and Shotgun deal with their pasts and current dangers to see if they can find love. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next.

What a great story. Watching Shotgun become a dad and overcome his personal demons made me laugh and cry at times. Poor Avery really had an awful time in life, but the club, Shotgun, and Gage more than made up for all of the past. I loved how Shotgun knew exactly what he wanted and never wavered. Now I’m left dying for the next book in the series.

Shotgun and Avery

This book was so incredibly good and I hated for it to end. Addison Jane has hit it out of the ballpark with Avery's and Shotgun's story of their journey toward each other. This is a story about making your family to love. There is hot spice, angst and trauma in this book. I really wish that there were more books to this series.

Great story

I really enjoyed this story. Overcoming feelings of insignificance that are rooted from her past, Avery has to learn that she is loveable and worthy. Even when her inner voice tells her to run, she determines she is going to stay. A really good story!!
