Allen Madding is a follower of the way, author, traveler, Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys fan, and an information technology professional who lives in Thomasville, GA. He grew up in rural South Georgia where he developed a love for hunting, fishing, putting peanuts in a Coca-Cola, and racing cars. He raced short track stock cars for nine years and has written for Speedway Media and Insider Racing News. He is a retired volunteer firefighter/NREMT-I and fancies himself as a storyteller and a guitar strummer.
He is always up for a road trip and a hot cup of truck stop coffee. He feels at home in wide open spaces, hiking in the woods, walking on the beach listening to the ocean's tide, watching the sunset over a cypress lined pond, and relishes the smell of honeysuckle and the sound of the wind through the pines.
He loves a medium rare steak, cheeseburgers, blackberry cobbler, bourbon and Coke, boiled peanuts from a roadside stand, and a hotdog and beer at a baseball game while heckling the opposing team and keeping the umpire honest. He roots for the underdog and has learned how to say "I'm sorry". He believes that Dale Earnhardt was the greatest driver to ever compete in NASCAR, that Chevrolet is the heartbeat of America, and that Ford is a four letter word.
He says "Yes, Sir" and "No Ma'am" and prays before a meal. He believes that scars are the original tattoos and has a collection of both that remind him where he has been and help to keep him headed in the right direction.

I honestly had no idea what the conclusion would be until the very end. This was so well written & suspenseful -- you'll be shocked! It's a good rainy day read. You'll definitely want to read it in one sitting.

Great story

I've read the Shaken Awake series and this is definitely a new kind of story from this author but no less entertaining. It isn't predictable, which I appreciated. I definitely recommend it.

The best part of this book is the surprise ending. This was an easy-reading story which I was able to finish on my Kindle in 2 hours.

A married female loan processor at a bank (Colleen) is tormented by her supervisor, with her co-workers complaining of the same issue. The supervisor gives new meaning to the term 'slave driver.' He is later found murdered, with most employees considered to be suspects. Another supervisor is murdered shortly thereafter, in a different manner, while detectives were still investigating the first death. With the bank's computer systems bordering on archaic, loan-processing employees are tense trying to perform their duties due to recent events.

Colleen's marriage is in trouble due to the problems associated with her job. Her husband, Alex, tries to console her each day when she comes home from work. Colleen has been visualizing possible sexual encounters, though not with her husband. A lead detective in the bank's murder cases is the one she sees in these visions.

I had read the author’s “Shaken Awake” trilogy and was excited to get this one. Read this on a flight last month. Really fun and quick read. I had it figured out but it was still fun to get to the climax. I definitely recommend it.

This is is a different type of story from Mr. Madding's usual books. But still a thriller. It was a short read, I typically am a fast reader, this book was finished in just over an hour.

Basically Colleen is a married loan processor at a bank. Her supervisor torments her, as well as her other co-workers. Later, the supervisor is found murdered, and of course almost all of Colleen's co-workers, as well as herself, are suspects.

A second supervisor is found dead shortly after, by a different means. The detectives were still trying to investigate the first death.

Colleen tries to go on about her daily routine at work, however, her marriage is in trouble due to the stress of her job and the mysterious deaths. She soon starts having sexual fantasies about someone, other than her husband. One of the visions she has is with the lead detective in the bank's supervisors murders.

As stated, it was a page turner, with a surprise ending.

I received this book free. This is my honest opinion.

An absolutely wonderful short story. Just goes to show you never know who you can really trust. How much do we really know about each other? I'll let you marinate on that thought.

I absolutely recommend this book!

Lendercide by Allen Madding is a mystery thriller novel that is short, sweet, and overall to the point. Two higher-up officials at the bank where Colleen works have turn up murdered. Both of them are some of the least liked by the company’s workers. Few if any, show any remorse at the announcement of their deaths. So, it begs the question – who committed the murders? What was the tipping point and who will be the next victim of this unknown attacker? While Colleen casts flirtatious eyes at the Detective investigating the deaths will her marriage survive the fallout to come?
Lendercide is an interesting novel that details murder, danger, and infidelity. Strange things are happening at the bank, and it seems that a reckoning has come for those who have accrued the most hatred through bullying and disrespect. Detective Gary is on the case, but it seems that he has caught the eye of married Colleen. Where are things headed between them? Is Gary willing to risk his career for a married woman?
This book is a quick read and has some engaging elements to it. Unfortunately, this book lacks depth and detail. This book would be a sensational read with more of those two things. As it is, certain elements are rushed, and in some cases, completely out of left field. You’ll be left with more questions than answers. Yet, if the author’s intent is to have you hoping for more with the ending then it can be classified as “mission accomplished.” The ending is interesting and have you thinking – what next?
This book rates 3.5 out of 5 stars. Has the potential to be exceptional, but falls short. With some fleshing out this book could be fantastic.

Depends on why you are reading this

I gave this a neutral rating because if you like a quick read and can suspend reality and logic you might find this a nice campy read. I wasn’t able to read it in one sitting like the people giving it 5 stars and the lack of logic and far fetched plot bothered me. For example., the characters risking a marriage (Colleen) or their job (the detective)- after meeting once during a murder investigation-was a little to quick, no development of the relationship. There was no resolution to the mystery except an illusion at the end of the possible murderer doing something so stupid they were bound to be caught. It does have a nice message about why you shouldn’t be a jerk at work, that is if you work with people that handle interpersonal conflict with murder.
