Rate this book
Is it truly impossible to forgive what you can’t forget? Is resentment really the poison that you keep feeding yourself? Is fear the great equalizer? Or is it simply a state of mind? You’re about to find out! “Forgiving What You Can't Forget” by Ashley Taylor is a book about pain, regret, shame, and the inability to see the good that is in front of you… all because you are standing in your own way. When life seems to be going so wrong, what needs to change? Is it you? Is it your circumstance? Or is it a little bit of both?

You can’t move forward if you can’t let go of your past. The future is only as bright as you allow it to be. Learn to forgive, move forward, and heal… so you can face the brighter, happier future you so deserve.

This book contained lots of insights and good advice, but... it seemed a jumbled mishmash of stream of consciousness rather than a planned book. Almost as if someone was asked to write a book and they included every article and bible study they had written over the years and simply mashed them together without an editor. That seems harsh; and I don't intend it to be overly harsh -- I did give the book 4 stars (which could have easily been 5 stars with more coherence).
That said, there was a lot of insights on both the biblical and psychological aspects of letting go, moving on, forgiving (whether forgiving one's self, forgiving someone that didn't ask for forgiveness, etc). Indeed there is much here and I do plan to read it again and take notes.
