Are you wading along the shore, safe and secure but longing for an adventure that quickens your heart, sharpens your mind and shakes your comfort above to the core? Lowell Lytle discovered though a lifetime of daring decisions what can come of leaving the shore behind and diving into the deep.
How did he survive one shipwreck after another? What pulled him toward adventure, risk and spiritual quest, and who's love led him safely back to shore?
You will be amazed, entertained and inspired by Lowell's remarkable life: the triumphant rises, the terrible falls, and the redemption that led him late in life to follow an unfathomable and "Titanic" opportunity.
I picked up this book one day when visiting the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge. I honestly only bought it because the author of the book was working as Captain Smith that day and had autographed copies. Nearly 3 years later I finally decided to read it. I am not a very religious person and never thought twice about this book containing so much religious material. I must say although I was shocked but the very strong spiritual message at first it truly fit well with the retellings of this man's life. The captains logs about how he came to be involved with the titanic were nice breaks from the chronological story and always a neat insight. I am one of the people he mentions that just loves the titanic but same as many others there is no true reason but the adoration of those that fought to survive to be able to tell the story for so many others. This book was great and this is coming from someone who honestly has a strong dislike for autobiographies, biographies, non-fiction in general.
