Nun kehrt er in seine Firma zurück und ihm wird ein neuer Kollege vorgestellt, der Nagi verdammt ähnlich sieht...
ohhhh.. 😂 I rlly didn't expect any of this. what i read in my free time is my business 😭😭💔
so the thing is, the art. OH MY GOSH IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. but the rest of it? the entirety of the relationship felt forced and lust based (which I'm totally fine with,) but it felt a bit like that was the only thing they had.. which the author made it seem like they had an actual connection. which wasn't the entire plot, I did like the writing and the characters!
but unfortunately I found myself getting lost and confused: "wait, weren't we just talking about that like 2 pages ago?" "ok, what's even going on atp." but I ended up loving the ending.
just my opinion though, would genuinely love to hear what others think!
thanks so much netgalley, Kodansha Comics (AHHH 💖🤭) and the author- Takiba!!
"I'm just a worthless ball of jealousy, y'know?" - He says, with the sweetest smile ever.
I loved it, I really, really did. The art is great and while everything happens fast, I didn't feel like it was rushed. I do wish we could've gotten more of Kanzaki abroad and how he regretted leaving the way he did. Having him be the anxious one after they get together instead of Nagi was a very welcome change from the usual dynamic. Overall, a great steamy one-shot.
Thank you to NetGalley & Kodansha Comics for the ARC <3
Thank you NetGalley for the digital copy in exchange for my review!
This is a short little slice of life standalone that encapsulates a lot of emotions in 195 pages. It was tender, sad, and heartwarming. While at times it lacked depth, I enjoyed the ending along with the side stories after the end.
Thanks to Takiba, Kodansha and Netgalley for a complimentary e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
This was a super cute one shot manga about two men with very different backgrounds who once loved one another, but were seperated when one has to go abroad for work. When he returns five years later to find the man is now working at his very office at his new subordinate, the two get a chance to rekindle their romance, but Nagi has his own traumas to get over before he can commit to being in love again.
I really enjoyed this manga - I thought it did some really great things with consent which is always nice to see in a BL manga, and dealt surprisingly seriously with the theme of someone who is sexually averse. Kanzaki was a really sweet protagonist and I appreciated his maturity in how he dealt with the stiuation. The smutty scenes were great too but mostly I just really liked how emotionally mature this one shot was and is much more about the two being able to form a genuine connection again then it being all about the sex.
I'd definitely read more from this author again :)
You’re All Mine Tonight delivers exactly what I hoped for: a hot, angsty romance that puts you through waves of emotional turmoil in the best way. Takiba balances intensity and vulnerability well, and the chemistry between the characters is undeniably strong, charged, messy, and compelling.
What I especially appreciated is that you can genuinely feel that the characters care for each other beneath all the tension. Their connection has weight, and the emotional moments land. That said, I found myself wanting their motivations to be fleshed out just a little more; sometimes the story leans heavily on kindness as shorthand for deeper feelings, and I wished for a bit more explicit clarity about why they’re drawn to each other beyond the attraction and angst.
Still, the push-and-pull dynamic works beautifully, the pacing is engaging, and the emotional payoff is satisfying. The heat, the longing, the drama, it all blends into a very enjoyable read.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this title in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to Takiba and Kodansha Comics for giving me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.
With a title like You’re All Mine Tonight, you already have my full attention. And wow… Takiba absolutely delivers.
First of all, the artwork. Holy shit. It sets the tone immediately and perfectly matches what follows. This book is spicy in a way that does not waste time warming you up. The sexual tension is thick from the start and only escalates, to the point where I genuinely think my ears turned red while reading.
Everyone in this book is painfully horny, and I mean that as a compliment. The desire feels urgent, consuming, and purposefully overwhelming. There’s an intensity to the characters’ interactions that makes the story feel almost claustrophobic in the best possible way, like you’re trapped in their need for each other.
While the plot isn’t overly complex, the emotional and erotic focus is clearly intentional. This is a book that knows exactly what it wants to be and commits fully. If you’re looking for something subtle, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something bold, steamy, and impossible to look away from, this one absolutely delivers.
*I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review*
I didn't expect so much spice in a one-shot, but I was here for it. The romance did feel forced between both Kanzaki and Nagi due to Nagi being a male prostitute in the past and then years later Kanzaki- his old client- becomes his boss, however since I didn't feel much depth, I didn't mind reading this as just a spicy BL. The story has some sensitive themes that felt well handled, I do wish the trauma from Nagi being SA'd and his past struggles was a bit more developed and the journey of self-acceptance was touched on more, but overall I think their romance was messy, angsty and lusty. The art was so beautiful, and I'm glad the ending was on the sweeter side with a cute HEA.
I'd still recommend for a shorter, heated, angst filled read!
While the spice was spicy, the plot was a LOT for a little one-shot. I felt like it was a very deep story that needed more than one volume to get perfect. It felt a little bit like a one-shot version of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, which I adore. I do think the art and the spice were amazing, I just really needed more development before both characters jumped back into dating each other.
3/5 Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for an arc. All opinions are my own.
This manga could have been an HR report/j
In all seriousness, this is a very spicy BL, and the relationship is pretty sweet. I just couldn't really get past the protagonist sexually harassing one of his employees. As the audience we know the feelings are reciprocated, but Kanzaki doesn't know that.
Made me cry so 3/4⭐ Full of both spice and story, so much so that I wish we had more than just a one shot, because at times it did feel like we didn't get to see enough. Artwork was beautiful!
Thank you to NetGalley, Takiba and Kodansha Comics for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was somehow the cutest and hottest manga I’ve ever read, and I am absolutely here for it! It took me a moment to get into the flow (because I haven’t read a manga in a while) but oh my goodness was it worth it!! and those bonus chapters? *chefs kiss*!!
Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read this manga early
I have to admit that I picked this up because of the cover, and I was right to do that since the art is the best thing from this BL manga. It's gorgeous and I really liked the characted designs, the MCs' looks fit well together.
However, I think that there are things that didn't completely convinced me about this story. It has a great premise: two men that were in a sort of transactional relationship reuniting years later after one of them disappeared, now working in the same place.
The concept doesn't fill out expectations in the execution unfortunately. I felt that their relationship was mostly based on lust rather than actual feelings because they didn't really know each other and their interactions were usually full of sex in the past - at least that's what I got from the story.
I wouldn't have a problem if perhaps that was treated as an infactuation that later developed into something more real. The thing is, I felt that the desire from the older MC was mostly onesided until before the very end. I understand the idea ofthe younger MC thinking the other only wanted his body, but I didn't feel like the change from that point to reciprocating the other man was organic.
I think that if there were scenes where they tried to rebuild their relationship in the present by hanging out and getting to know each other instead of one chasing the other and being rejected over and over, I would've been convinced that there were mutual romantic feelings.
The chasing moments could've benefited from having more angst related to their insecurities too. I think the main reason why I felt numb is because I couldn't connect properly with the characters. I needed more depth from Nagi especially, after some hints from his backstory. There were many interesting things that could've been done and if this were a two-volume manga, it would've helped the story a lot imo.
Overall, the reason I am still rating this a favorable 3 stars is due to the art, the potential of the dynamic/story and the well done sex scenes. I also love an age gap, although that wasn't really explored here. I'd still love to read more from this author, I am a visual person so I pick my manga based on how much I like the artstyle. This is one of those cases that it's so pretty to look at that at the end of the day, I don't regret from picking it up. Plus the extras were cute and I found them more enjoyable.
-I received a copy of this book for free through NetGalley and I am leaving an honest review voluntarily.
I side-eyed "You're All Mine Tonight" because I was afraid of what this would end up being, but I really needed a short romance, and this was available.
Japan, being Japan, of course, one of the characters was drunk when they got intimate, but this time it was the top. Is that better? No. But it's different! And isn't that progress?
There were a couple of plot points that just didn't make any sense: Kanzaki simply abandoning Nagi 5 years before and then expecting everything to continue once they reconnect, without offering any explanation or apology, and Nagi's behaving as if there were no cameras at work. There were better ways to achieve the same results in the story.
All in all, though, I did enjoy it, and it wasn't as problematic as I feared. Yes, Kanzaki pursuing his employee the way he did, could count as harassment, but he was aware of his problematic behaviour and Nagi's unwillingness to continue their relationship, so he took matters into his own hands and transferred departments so he was no longer as close to him.
The themes that I feared would be mangled the most, such as Nagi's past as a "night worker", were actually treated with respect. I loved that he was never judged or made to feel less than by the story or Kanzaki, who tries to support him the best way he knows how and truly cares for him.
I was also impressed with how the story addressed a character's past sa and following hypersexuality, followed by the disappearance of his libido. Once these characters got together, their dynamic was really cute and Nagi pretty much led Kanzaki by a leash, which was exactly where that man wanted.
I got the romantic one-shot that the synopsis promised, so I'm happy too.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for this DRC.
"A steamy new BL one-shot" is right (although the joke is there's more than one "shot"). It's steamy from the get go and is interspersed with several more scenes throughout so take that explicit label to heart!
You're All Mine Tonight is the sort of BL one-shot that sort of suffers from so many BL stories being stuffed into just one volume - don't get me wrong, it was good and I enjoyed it, but I feel like if it was even a two-volume set it would have had a lot more time to breathe and sort of come into itself. Gosh there's a lot of double meanings in this sentence that were not intentional but now that I realize, I'm keeping.
Anyway! What happens when you fall in love with someone you're paying to sleep with you ... and then your job makes you work overseas for five years? Well, a BUNCH of yearning, especially when you come back and someone just happens to look like the love of your past life! Who also wants nothing to do with you despite things being so good prior! Nagi is a mess and that's one of the things that could have used more space to grow, Kanzaki is a mess because he's full of Yearning and not understanding anything, Nagi's... boyfriend?lover? is sort of a mess but we never get to know his deal so we can just assume since why not... but of course because it's a romance and a one-shot the two end up a mess together and get things figured out enough for some cute epilogues.
I'm so grateful to Kodansha for publishing these stories in a manner that includes epilogues and bonuses that were only available digitally/in extra ways since it's not like I can just pop out to my neighborhood bookstore and get the Japanese copy! THANK YOU KODANSHA KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. And thank you for the ARC for review!
You’re All Mine Tonight -Release December 23 -Office Worker x Sex Worker - Romance, Second Chances, BL/Yaoi -Spicy Read -Huge thank you to Kodansha and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this eARC
As a warning, there are a lot of spicy scenes throughout this one shot. Before going into this manga, do note that with it being a one shot the pacing will be quicker. As I do wish we had more building of their relationship after meeting it was just the reader in me wanting more of them. The story portrayed their feelings and situation well. I liked that it wasn’t just one of them tormented about the abrupt “separation” and we see brief snippets of how they were impacted during that time. Nagi is conflicted with wanting to forget the past and pining for Kanzaki. Kanzaki has regret for how he left without a word and wanting that second chance with Nagi (not as a customer). This second meeting after years, allows both to face each other and understand how their feelings were not unrequited. I will be honest I loved seeing the flashback of Nagi waiting for Kanzaki’s call because you can feel how he saw Kanzaki differently from his other clients, even though they technically were not in a relationship.
Quick Summary: After a night of drinking, Kanzaki has an encounter with Nagi who asks if he wants to buy him for the night. This one night turns into several until Kanzaki is sent abroad, leaving Nagi with no warning. After a few years, Kanzaki returns to discover that the one he was going to search for ends up working at the company. How will these two face each other?
Thank you to Kodansha Comics for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
You’re All Mine Tonight opens with an immediate burst of heat, its first scene is fully adult yaoi content, setting the tone for the rest of the story. After a time skip, the protagonist unexpectedly encounters an old flame at work. Their reunion is tense, with one wanting to reconnect and the other wanting nothing to do with their shared past intially.
This manga is about 75% explicit content, so readers should be aware before diving in. The remaining pages explore the emotional layers of their relationship, why they once loved each other, what caused the distance between them, and whether they can overcome the conflict that still lingers.
One of the side characters is very protective of the one who was against reconnecting initally it kind of threw the pacing off with him introduced and didn't really dive deeper to explain the past of why the guy had change so much. I'm not sure if that character was really necessary. There's no time wasted with the steamy scenes when the characters do finally get together.
Overall, You’re All Mine Tonight blends high heat with a second-chance storyline, offering drama, vulnerability, and strong tension that fans of adult yaoi will enjoy.
Messy. That’s the best way I can describe this oneshot. This goes not only for the relationship, where being messy is not a bad thing, but also the plot and pacing and sometimes even the organization of the steamy scenes - all felt messy. . I enjoyed the pining and all too quick obsession of Kanzaki and while I was rooting for him and Nagi to give each other another chance, it all seemed to happen in a roundabout way. Nagi is much harder to understand - he is a sex worker but began having performance issues and erectile dysfunction and quit to try a regular life, he hunted Kanzaki for money but fell in love with him (standard story stuff), but then becomes obsessed again when his body begins to respond to Kanzaki again. He also has a friend that I had no idea why he was included in the story - he was protective so was he supposed to be a potential love interest and that idea was scrapped? He wasn’t developed enough to feel like an intentional friend. And I think he could have been removed altogether. . You’ll find steam, intensity, and longing in this oneshot, but it’s messy and I didn’t find it all that satisfying as a story. So overall, not entirely bad, just… yeah, messy. . *I received an eARC from Kodansha Comics & NetGalley. All opinions are my own*
A steamy new BL one-shot about a businessman longing to reunite with his past lover--who wants nothing more than to put his own troubled past behind him.
An unexpected night with a sex worker turns into a love that neither man will admit to the other. After 5 years of separation they unexpectedly find each other, both wanting to hide their secret knowledge of the other. The problem lies in the older man is still in love and Nagi, who was the sex worker, is filled with shame about his past and thinks he only wants to reignite their worker/customer relationship. It's a complicated love story that is actually very sweet and affirming for both men. The art work is beautiful. I will warn it is graphic if such things bother you, the extra content after the story end more graphic then the full novel. But then this does not hide what it is about, so if sewing two men love each other offends you, why are you even reading this? Highly recommended for all the points of live and redemption it tells. Thanks to @netgalley and Kodansha Comics for the opportunity to read this eArc in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Kanzaki is a staid, dependable businessman who's looked up to by all his colleagues. After working in a foreign branch for years, he returns to Japan to be greeted by new employees, including a familiar-looking face. Futagami looks exactly like Nagi, a sex worker with whom lust had bloomed into love right before Kanzaki had to leave the country. Will seeing each other at work heal the trauma of their past and let them find each other again?
I'm amazed at how well Takiba managed to get a whole story full of past, present, and future details into one volume. You walk away feeling like you experienced multitudes with the characters because that's exactly what happened. Kanzaki and Futagami go through so much, both together and alone, and it leads to character growth that some multi-volume series could only dream of.
My one tiny complaint would be that characters are sometimes indistinguishable from one another. I get that it's an office setting and everyone has to wear a suit, so I'm not judging it as hard for it, but it did make for a couple of puzzling panels.
Very happy thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the sweetly romantic read!
You're All Mine Tonight takes an already melodramatic premise and manages to make it feel disappointingly hollow. For a "steamy new BL one-shot," it relies on a tangle of overused tropes that fail to generate genuine emotion or tension.
The core issue lies in the character dynamics and the unoriginal plot. Kanzaki is introduced as a "stoic, dependable businessman," yet a five-year obsession with Nagi, a former sex worker, drives his entire character arc. This setup immediately places Kanzaki in a powerful position (respectable boss) while Nagi/Futagami is positioned as vulnerable (past as a sex worker, current subordinate). The one-shot never manages to navigate this inherent power imbalance with the nuance required, instead simplifying it into a convenient backdrop for Kanzaki's self-serving romantic longing.
The plot twist, Kanzaki's new subordinate, Futagami, "looks exactly like Nagi", is the narrative's biggest misstep. It’s a twist so lazy and convenient. The story becomes less about two men finding their way back to each other and more about one man projecting his unresolved desire onto the other. For a story that revolves around a troubled past, it feels surface-level. Nagi's desire "to put his own troubled past behind him" is sidelined for Kanzaki's quest for passionate nights, making the narrative feel frustratingly self-centred and failing to give the more interesting character (Nagi/Futagami) any real depth. The way the author wrote Nagi’s past didn’t feel sexualised or like a degradation, but I couldn’t say the same for Kanzaki’s treatment of him.
Ultimately, You're All Mine Tonight is a missed opportunity, even though the artwork is beautiful. It's a quick, predictable read where the central conflict is resolved not through hard-won emotional labour and connection, but through a convenient, eye-rolling plot device, driven by lust. It leaves a bad taste, not offering a fresh perspective on love, power, and second chances.
Many thanks to Kodansha and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Okay.. da gab's SEHR viele explizite Szenen.. 🫶
Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the opportunity to read this one shot BL comic as an eARC. All opinions are my own.
Another quick manga one shot to read, but I actually quite enjoyed this one for the more angsty tones it had. Featuring a previous sex worker and his older client, the comic establishes that there is a history between the two that is pivotal to the present day story being told. As someone who used to be an avid reader of workplace romance BL mangas, this felt like coming home again and I think added to the enjoyment I had. The illustration style was also perfect for the story and made it easy to follow along while also still being able to feel the emotions through the pages.
While the relationship developed from a place of lust, the fact that both Kanzaki and Nagi had developed feelings was established from the get go. This helps add to the angst of it all and got me invested in the story.
Overall I really enjoyed this one and would recommend to fans of BL manga who want a quick and easy story to read.
Kanzaki, a middle-aged salaryman, returns from working abroad for five years. He never forgot the man he had a fling with before his transfer. Kanzaki is shocked to discover one of his new subordinates resembles his former lover. Sadly, Futagami wants nothing to do with him or their past. Can Kanzaki convince Futagami to give him another chance?
Futagami wants to forget all about his former life as a male sex worker. He grows dismayed when he learns that his new boss turns out to be a past client. Futagami tries desperately to avoid Kanzaki at the office only to fail. Things between them turn awkward. Will Futagami come to terms with his tumultuous feelings, enough to let Kanzaki in?
YOU’RE ALL MINE TONIGHT is a one-shot BL manga. This is the first time I read anything from this mangaka. The story quickly immersed me. I wish that we got a little more of Futagami’s POV. Perhaps the past that caused him to become a sex worker… Okay, so I saw the potential this manga had of becoming serial.
I will definitely be adding this one to my collection when it is released.
This was a pretty nice read overall. What really stood out to me was Kanzaki, he’s genuinely a good guy, which was honestly refreshing. He’s soft, respectful, and his feelings feel real. I especially appreciated that he actually respects Futagami’s boundaries, something you don’t see nearly enough in this genre. It made the romance feel a lot more sincere.
Futagami took longer for me to warm up to. I understand where he was coming from, but he was kind of annoying at first, and I’m not usually a fan of that type of character. That said, he does redeem himself by the end, and their relationship ends on a satisfying note.
The tension between them didn’t feel forced, and I liked that the story didn’t rely too heavily on sexual content. There was enough focus on the plot and emotional side of things, which I appreciated. The art style was fine, not really my favorite, but it worked for the story.
Overall, this is a sweet, solid BL with a refreshingly respectful lead. It’s not something I’ll probably remember for a long time, but it was still an enjoyable read while it lasted.
Thank you to Netgalley and Kodansha Comics for an arc in exchange for honest review.
You're All Mine Tonight is a sweet story with some missing pieces. I think, like all romance books that focus on characters who have experienced sexual trauma, the idea that love fixes or negates traumatic experiences does a disservice to the story's characters. I would have liked a little more communication from the two characters about their initial separation and Nagi's sexual experiences, because as it stands the book comes off as Nagi needing to fix all the issues in the relationship. Kanzaki, though charming, was plenty flawed himself, but the story kind of ignores that in order to push these two characters closer together. Nagi had plenty of reasons to be triggered by and disappointed with Kanzaki's behavior, but that was never properly addressed. Nagi repeatedly hurt Kanzaki and while it was apologized for, I feel like the big 'why' was never spoken about. Overall, the story is very sweet and does earnestly try to stray from some tired tropes, but heavily leans into others.
Have to say I appreciate a man down bad enough that he wears a ring given to him as a happenstance gift as a wedding ring for five years. Dick-motized behavior. And that's not even getting into how he got it by overpaying for company.
Now that said, he is on the boundary-crossing side of pushy at first and doesn't seem to get in his obsessive need how yeah, saying to someone "If I pay will you come back with me?" is offensive. I don't mind any of that, I just want to note potentially triggering elements. And in a way it is kind of sweet how long it takes him to realize Nagi is insecure about his sex worker past and sees himself as damaged goods, as it shows how he never once thought that of Nagi.
I do wish we got more on who the roommate was, how he came to be friends with Nagi, and what the ring originally was to Nagi (it seemed to be important enough to wear on a necklace, but not important he couldn't part with it?)
Story about Salaryman Kanzaki had a drunken night and met a sex working Nagi. Overtime, Kanzaki fell in love with Nagi, and the feeling is mutual. To a point where Nagi can no longer do the act because all of his feelings went with Kanzaki who disappeared. Fast forward some time, Nagi ended up being a salaryman himself, since he can no longer perform in his former profession, and who did he ran into as his boss but the very Kanzaki.
I like the story, but did not like how they reunited. When a book has 5 chapters and 1 bonus chapter (and let's face it, the bonus is always smut) you don't have alot of room to do the reuniting when sensei spend so much on establishing Nagi's backstory and transformation and reasoning.
Don't get me wrong, this BL is still worth reading simply for the art and the love. The translation is spot on, which makes it more enjoyable. Not all translators can do a good job when it comes to manga.
Thank you NetGalley & Kodansha Comics for the ARC.
