Pierce has lived his life mostly alone. He has his job at the bakery and a few close friends. That's all any man needs right? Wrong! There's a part of him that's begging to be free. To be known. When he meets a group of people embodying everything he desires, will he turn away or embrace it with open arms?
Doyle moved to get a fresh start. He'd been working hard to take care of everyone else in his life, that he'd neglected his own joy. With his mother's encouragement, he and his friends move to the big city to start over. Doyle's first goal: Find a Daddy to love him just how he is. When he meets Pierce on his first day in town, he decides the big, quiet baker might just be perfect for him.
Surrounded by our favorite princesses, Doyle works to find a way past the armor that is Pierce's tough exterior.
This book features content meant for audiences 18+. It is in the same world as the previous books in the series and is best read after the others.
I was so excited to read about Pierce since we met him in book 2. He was made out to be a really shy gentle giant of a dude with a ton of tattoos. He sometimes has issues with communicating - sometimes he gets his words mixed up when he’s overwhelmed. It takes him awhile to feel comfortable with other people. This was why I was super intrigued by him.
Doyle comes along and he’s the complete opposite of Pierce. He’s outgoing and talkative and can make friends with anyone. He has a thing for Pierce but Pierce doesn’t really talk to him. He’ll nod here and there but no words. Doyle thinks he’s not really into him so he decides to leave Pierce a letter to explain his feelings and ask if he’d be interested in dating, maybe being his Daddy. Pierce writes him back and explains his feelings and that he’s open to a relationship.
And then magically Pierce is able to talk and communicate to Doyle with his words after just the 2 letters. I was a bit disappointed. It was like the awkward, shy Pierce disappeared. The next time he saw Doyle he already started calling him “baby.” It felt like his personality changed super fast, at least in my opinion. I dunno... I needed more of the shy Pierce before he loosened up with Doyle.
There wasn’t really all that much age play/regression either. Sure they met at The Playground but there wasn’t a ton of detail about their time there. Just a mention of the Little clothes they wore, a bit of coloring and some toys. I wanted a bit more.
Also, this is labeled an age gap but I don’t think either of their ages were mentioned or how many years were between them. Not a super big deal but I usually like to know the details.
I will say that this author has a way of introducing new characters. I love how Rhett was included in the story and in a way that I already want to read about him finding his own Little. And then Ean was brought into the group... and maybe we’ll be seeing some of him and Rhett soon enough. It just made me super excited and looking forward to reading about them. That part I love.
Overall, I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I really wanted to. I’d give this about a 3.25⭐️ but I am going to continue the series when the next book comes out.
This series is just too cute! I can't believe I didn't read them sooner. I'm a sucker for a hot baker Daddy, so I had to read this one right away. Pierce is a sweet, shy baker that thinks his size and tattoos keep him from making friends. But that doesn't stop Byron from bringing him into his friend group. That's how Pierce meets Doyle, after he moved to town with his friends Jasper and Fisher. Doyle is smitten with the hot baker from the moment they meet, but Piece hardly speaks to him. When Pierce needs help at the bakery, Doyle is the right man for the job. Will this finally be his chance to get Pierce to talk to him? Yes it was! I loved how writing letters was still a big part of the story. These two were adorable. We get to meet a few new characters in this book that I'm excited to see will get their own HEA's.
This series has been fun, loving, and so supportive. We meet Pierce and Doyle both in book two and the minute their eyes meet the connection is there but we don’t get their full story until this book. Doyle is full of energy and has so much love to give, he is immediately attracted to pierce but it takes pierce a bit to catch on but once he does the rest is history. We get to see more of the already coupled up characters and get to meet new ones. Super excited for Rhett to get his man😁❤️
I am so happy we got this one next. I love Doyle. He always makes me smile. Snd Pierce is such a sweetheart. Though after reading this I’m craving some sweets. I’m glad Ean snd Rhett are next. I hope we get Fisher’s story. And I really want to know Hector more.
Not only did he get the ONE, but with sweet treats!
I love this series, even if it's all new to me. It's the stories, how they come to finding the ONE, and the friendships that happen all at once. Too bad not everyone can have all of this happen to them no matter the difference in life styles, as long as everyone is happy and friends abundant. THANK YOU, A.W.! ENJOY!
Loved Pierre and Doyle's story How Doyle managed to get Pierre to notice him , by writing a letter. The story flows beautifully adding in characters from the previous books, now having to wait for the next instalment
I enjoyed Pierce and Doyle’s story! It’s sweet as a cupcake with extra frosting on top, just the way Pierce would make it for his boy. I’m looking forward to reading Ean and Rhett’s story next.
This is another story from the Pen Pals world, in this case Byron’s friend Doyle and the big shy baker, Pierce. It was a cute quick story, with sweet romance and fun appearances from the other characters in the series. The editing/proofreading was bad, but the story was good.
Friends may get Doyle and Pierce in the same place. Sweet treats from the phenomenal baker Pierce are great. But when speech fails you, write down your wishes, likes and needs! Will it work for the shy, tongue-tied Pierce? Enjoy!!!
Doyle came to the city with his friends and they all end up at Pierce’s bakery. Doyle comes to help with the books and leaves his own letter to Pierce to express his interest. Now that Pierce knows he can move forward so they begin a sweet relationship..
Loved this book can’t wait to read about the next boy/daddy these two final got on the right track,,,now I hope the next book would be about Rhett and the new boy
This was a good book. I liked how direct Doyle ends up being. Pierce needed some help coming out of his shell. And the friend group really sounds like it’s going crazy.
I like how this author is keeping the theme of letter writing even though the couple are already in the same city this time, the whole group of friends are adorable
