A man who’s been left at the altar. A woman who doesn’t need any help! Will they give each other a second chance?
From kindle all-star, Taylor Hart! The South Port Beach Series!
Marshall Stone didn't become the kind of helicopter pilot that extracts Delta Force and Navy SEALs by being a wimp. No. He has grit and he demands that same grit in everyone around him. Too bad that getting left at the altar and grounded from flying makes him question himself. But, he's fine. More than fine. Coming back to South Port to help with the Family Inn is easy work until he runs into Kat Dixon. The girl who had once been his best friend, until she’d dashed his heart to pieces ten years ago.
If Katherine Dixon, had learned anything, it was that life wasn’t fair and you had to work like crazy to get what you wanted. After losing her husband the previous year, she’d been running a bakery and deli all on her own. Not to mention raising her nine-year-old son. When her car breaks down and none other than too big for his britches, Marshall, shows up she tells him she doesn’t need his help. She doesn’t want his help. She wouldn’t take his help if she were hanging from a cliff and holding on with one hand.
Good thing—he helps her anyway. When a stalker keeps showing up, leaving strange things for Kat and clues to the Conquistador’s gold fall into their hands, they must make a decision; trust each other or fall for the lies of the past.
As these six Stone siblings find a way back to each other, they must learn to let go of what doesn’t matter and cling to the things their parents always wanted for them--family, love, and fun memories on the beach.

A note from the author:
Thanks for visiting my Goodreads page.
I wanted to tell something meaningful about myself, but let's start with the important stuff--I love swoon-worthy heroes. The kind of heroes that are strong and would take a bullet for you, but also want to open your door and listen to you pour out your heart.
What else? I grew up moving. If you’ve read my books, you won’t be surprised by this. I have a lot of moving themes through my books centered around characters experiencing pain from someone moving.
It was hard. But, I believe there’s always a seed of good that comes out of everything hard, so I think the best thing that came from it was that I learned to love books.
And I had to learn a lot of mad skills on friend making. It gave me a love of people…good people, compassionate people. Interesting people of all kinds.
What else about me? I am a mother and wife! I have four amazing boys that are like little ninjas running around. I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my amazing husband who doesn’t get intimidated by all the billionaire men in my life.
I have a fierce love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for Him and for the healing and forgiveness I’ve gotten to experience in my life. This is a theme in many of my books.
I love being an American. I am so proud of the men and women that support and preserve our freedom. This is another theme you will find in my books.
I am so grateful for my fans and for the support and love you all show me! Don’t stop reading!
4 Star Review The Stone Family Lighthouse (South Port Beach Romances #3) by Taylor Hart AUDIO REVIEW: Taylor Hart is a new author to me and how I have not read or listened to this author before is surprising to me. The narrator Christopher Ringer was also new to me and he did a good job with his narration. From the start I was invested in Marshall Stone and Katherine (Kat) Dixon’s friends to lovers, second chance at love story. The added suspense of the a person stalking Kat added an additional layer of intrigue and I was surprised when the stalker was finally revealed. Both Marshall and Kat have issues from their past that need to be resolved and it was entertaining to watch both these characters and their relationship grow as the story progressed. Christopher Ringer’s voice was easy to listen to and he quickly drew me in to the story. The story was well written and the characters were strong and well developed.
AUDIO REVIEW: Taylor Hart is a new author to me but that’s about to change because I really enjoyed Marshall Stone and Katherine (Kat) Dixon’s friends to lovers/ second chance romance and I will be looking at the previous books in the South Port Beach Romances as soon as time permits. Christopher Ringer the narrator is also new to me and he did a wonderful job bringing this story to life so this listen really was a win win for me because I now have a new author and a new narrator to follow. Marshall is only back in South Port to help his brother at the family Inn after being grounded from his job as a helicopter pilot in the military special ops division. He is not looking to settle down and the last thing he wants it needs is a relationship, he lost that chance at happiness when he walked away from the love of his life and his best friend ten years ago. Kat never really understood why her best friend walked away ten years ago but she moved on and got married, had a son but then lost her husband a year ago so now she is back in South Port to start afresh. The last person she expects to come to her rescue when she breaks down is Marshall so will the timing be right for this couple now or will the past be too much to forget …….. I was captivated in this couples journey from the moment I started listening, I was kept on the edge of my seat as i watched this couple’s relationship grow whilst dealing with Kat being stalked and I certainly had no idea who the stalker was until they were revealed so that added some twists and turns in this entertaining story. This is a well written and well narrated story that has left me wanting more from the residents of South Port, I adored Marshall and Kat and the secondary characters really added depth to this story.
I can't wait to read the rest of the stories in the series. I devoured this one in about a day and stayed up late to finish it.
Marshall is part of the NightStalkers group in the military. He is a helicopter pilot who helps extract Seals and Delta members from special ops. It is a dangerous job but he doesn't have much to return home to and it is all he really wants since he lost the love of his life and best friend ten years ago. He was left at the alter by his fiance' recently, too. He has no desire to be in a romantic relationship ever again. He is only back in South Port to help out his brother at the family Inn they run and because he is grounded from his assignment for a while.
Kat lost her best friend ten years ago. He just ghosted her and she doesn't understand why. She married, had a son and lost her husband a year ago in a deployment and she feels responsible for his death. She moved back to South Port to start over. She hadn't expected to see Marshall again until he came to her rescue on the side of the road.
I loved how Kat and Marshall found a way to move past their past hurts and look toward a brighter future. One that just might be the best either could imagine.
This was book 3 in the series and I am looking forward to reading the others in the series to learn more about the Stone family members and the ones who love them. It is also a clean, wholesome romance with a happy ending.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
I love the way Taylor Hart has written these. The characters are fabulous. I love getting to know more of the Stone Family every time. And I love the bit of mystery in every one.
Kat is one of the characters from this series that I had wanted to learn more about. She’s a mom. And she owns the bakery and deli in South Port. But Kat has a stalker and she isn’t quite sure what to do about that. It’s when she’s trying to get away from her stalker and take a break that Marshall finds her on the side of the road and rescues her.
Marshall has been in love with Kat for most of his life. He was devastated when she turned him down. Seeing her again, just makes him fall even more in love with her. And, he’s got to protect her from her stalker and figure out the mystery. I really liked Marshall. I wasn’t sure I would after reading about him through the eyes of his siblings. But he’s a good guy.
And I loved that there were two mysteries in this one. There’s the stalker, of course, but also the treasure. I really hope that the Stone family or their friends eventually solve the mystery of the treasure!
I loved this book! And I can’t wait to read more about the Stone family!
I was sent an e-copy of The Stone Family Lighthouse as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
Two Peas in a Pod This book had two main draws for me. The first was the suspense of who her stalker was and why were they after her. It really was strange- the notes, what things were left. Kept me guessing. And second, the excitement of reconnecting with her best friend after a 10 year separation. It was like everything was new again for them and they were once more kids playing on the beach, riding on motorcycles, arguing/teasing, etc. It was really sweet. There was so much baggage and hurt that they had after so many years apart. But I like the way were able to reconnect and start something even better than a friendship, a lasting love. This is the first book that I’ve read in this series. The book is standalone. I think it would be helpful to start the series from the beginning but even though I didn’t know what happened in the previous books I still was able to enjoy this book. Now I want to read the whole series. Rating: G, clean, trigger PTSD, stalker
Fear drove them apart. Can they make a second chance work? A sweet story of facing fears and building a life together. Marshall met Kat when when she was nine and had just been adopted. They soon were best buddies, doing everything together when Marshall was in town for the summer. But when they were older and Marshall expressed his feelings for her, she pushed him away and went on to marry another. Now Kat is widowed, trying to support herself and her son while managing her hidden guilt and threatening notes that have begun appearing. And Marshall is back on leave after his helicopter was hit during a mission. When they meet again Kat wants nothing to do with Marshall but he’s the only one who can help her. As they work together on the issues they are facing, it will either bring them closer or drive them apart. A great read with romance, struggles, humor, and even danger.
My favorite in this series!!! Marshall is definitely a protector and swoony one at that. He and Katherine have been best friends since they were 9 years old. What happens when one wants more but the other is too afraid at loosing what they already have? Fast forward ten years. Their meeting after a 10 year gap is quite comical IMO. She is so sassy - loved her - who has suffered her share of heartaches. He is so sweet even with her sass. I was rooting for them to get their second chance. Loved their banter and bff relationship. She has a stalker and boy did Marshall go into protector mode. LOVED this book and will definitely be a keeper and re read. Would love to have on audio as well.
Marshall Stone comes home to South Port to oversee the Inn while his brother’s family takes a quick vacation. Marshall is on leave from the military and going home is no inconvenience as he can see friends, some of his family and Kat who was more than a friend ten years ago. Of course, he won’t admit he wants to see Kat but in a small community, it only takes a day and he “accidentally” runs into her. This book has laughs, tears and great camaraderie among family and friends. There’s some mystery with a stalker, incidents of treasure hunting and fabulous announcements about gals in the family way. I loved the book and highly recommend this entire series as I’ve fallen in love with South Port.
This is part of a series, and you will enjoy it more if you read the others, but it is not at all necessary, you can read this alone and not be lost one bit!! That said, each book we are introduced to more characters in the Stone family. This book focuses on Marshall and his childhood best friend Kat. She has a stalker, she wants to be independent and Marshall wants to help and honestly has always been in love with her. This book is full of great characters, and I did not 100% figure out the stalker until the end. The history from the stone in and light house is wonderful, the relationships between family and friends is also amazing. Ms Hart is a wonderful story teller and I for one cannot wait until the next installment.
I gasped & happy sighed all the way through! Seriously - I spent more time gasping through The Stone Family Lighthouse than I did the previous books. Between the ongoing treasure hunt, Kat’s stalker who keeps leaving weird messages and gifts, and everything in Marshall and Kat’s past, I was glued to the edge of my seat! And then, well, I guess it isn’t going to spoil anything to say that I truly enjoyed their romance.... but because there was SO MUCH going on in the book, I will have to leave it at that! And I enjoyed getting to know Kat and Marshall better, as well as other members of the family. If you want to know who, you will have to read the story! NO SPOILERS!
I like this next story about the Stone Family that tells about Marshall & Katherine Dixon. They have a history that goes back to high school. Now, 10 yrs later Marshall is back to help his brother run the inn so Trey & his wife can get a vacation. When Marshall & Kat meet Marshall soon learns Kat has a stalker. They each have other personal issues that need to be resolved before they can have their HEA. And don't forget this series has the back-story of the conquistador's gold. Marshall & Kat discover something new that, hopefully, leads the family one step closer to finding the gold or knowing it is not real. I received an ARC. I am leaving a voluntary review.
What a wonderful story of second chances. Marshall returns to help Trey and Ava with the Stone Family Inn while they are away. Marshall is reluctant but a promise is a promise. Kat has a stalker, or at least she thinks she does. She decides to get away only to break down on a lonely stretch of road. Who would think she’d meet the man she’d loved since she was nine years old sweeping in on his Harley to rescue her. The tension ramps up when Marshall convinces Kat to stay at the inn for her own safety, but how will she keep her heart safe? Is this finally the place Marshall will find home? Great book.
Marshall has come home to South Port and sees Kat stranded on the side of the road with car trouble. Kat doesn't want his help. Marshall left her 10 years ago and never answered her texts or phone calls. She married and has a son Kade. Kat's husband JD died a year ago and Marshall was left at the alter. Can these old Best Friends forgive each other. Kat is being stalked and getting weird gifts and notes. Can Marshall and his brothers catch him? A well written story with strong and believable characters. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Marshall is back in South port after being grounded from military duty. While watching the inn for Trey and Ava, he is reunited with his teenage love Kat. Though broken, I love that Marshall can’t stop himself from helping Kat. He has a heart of hold of helping those in need. Through Kat, Marshall is able to find himself again and also realize what has been missing in his life. I love Kat and Marshall’s story, back to love.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
This story has it all, some sweet romance, suspense, forgiveness and of course love. The Stone family is such a wonderful family, siblings who love each other so much. Marshall and Kat have known each other since they were little kids and later they dated and then had a lot of space apart. When they both ended up back in South Port at the same time, they were both hurt from the previous separation, but they were able to forgive and move on to have a wonderful second chance. This is another wonderful story in the Stone Family Series.
This is the third Stone family story and it is just as sweet and amazing as the others. Marshall and Kat had been best friends when they where kids. In their story they rekindled that friendship and it turned into more. Kat is sweet and fun. Marshall is strong and caring. Together they work to find out who is stalking Kat and why. Their book is full of mystery and friendship. It is a must read for sure.
Marshall and Kat were best friends as children until a misunderstanding separated them for ten years. Back in South Port to recuperate from his last mission and take care of the inn Marshall runs across a stranded Kat who has problems herself. Can they overcome the obstacles they face and become even more than the friends they once were or is the price too high?
The Stone Family Lighthouse is another amazing, heartwarming, Stone Family romance from Taylor Hart. I love this family of strong brothers and one feisty sister. For 10 years Marshall & Kat have been thinking that they were abandoned by the other. Sparks fly when they reconnect as Marshall cares for the inn. Once Marshall learns Kat has a stalker he is on the case! AS they spend time together, Kat and Marshall finally talk about what happened. The ending to this story is just perfect!
Stone family challenges brings the characters closer together. Love reading how they support each other through the ups and downs. Marshall and Katherine are great strong characters that can have a second chance to make things right. Read and Enjoy !! You won't regret it . Thank goodness it's a series so we get to hear more about previous siblings and more stories to read. Taylor Hart is a gifted story teller.
I loved reading Marshall's story and getting to know him better. He was so different than I pictured him at the beginning of the series. I am so glad we got to know Kat better. She had a harder past than I was expecting and I'm so glad she had Marshall to help her sort through it. I figured out the mystery fairly quickly and wasn't really satisfied with it's conclusion, but I do hope the best for that character.
This was my first experience with Taylor Hart's work, and I enjoyed it a lot. The story was about two longtime friends who went down different paths only to find their lives merging once again. I was entertained by this romantic story, and I recommend it to others. Christopher Ringer's narration was fine as his voice was pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
Sweet Happily Ever After. I always enjoy 2nd chance romances. This one with the bit of suspense kept me turning page after page. The characters are well developed and have you hooked right from the start. I’m looking forward to the next in the series. You can read them independently, however each Stone Family member has a unique story you won’t want to miss.
I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Bad choices in the past, a stalker, and non-communication are featured in the plot of Taylor Hart’s latest book in this series. I highly recommend both this book and the previous ones in this series. Central to the series is the family vacation home which has been turned into a bed and breakfast.
Another great story in the Stone Family saga with Kat and Marshall who have been friends since childhood but she married someone else and now ten years later she owns the local deli and bakery and has a stalker. Marshall is so sweet and protective of Kat and she seems to be falling for him. Well written with great strong characters.
I loved this. A lot more suspense than the previous books and I adored it. A great second chance romance for our mains and some good bonding time. I liked that a treasure thread was still in this book also. I’m anxious for the other guys to get their HEAs!
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book is about a young woman who lost her husband and then decided to open a bakery and a deli in the small town where she lived. She was getting letters from a stalker and thought nothing about it. Marshal Stone a young army guy out on leave was looking after the family inn that his brother Trey owned while they went on holiday. Norma Gorrill
I like a good second chance romance. Life lessons learned - or at least dealt with - help make a deeper plot and add interest to the evolving romance. The little bit of mystery and maybe surprise held my interest and kept me guessing. I love the Stone family with all their arguments, fights, problems, and love for each other.
She opened two shops to make a living to raise her son Kade. Easy, absolutely not plus she was getting some weird notes etc left outside her home. Then Marshall came home to work the Inn so his Brother and sister in law could leave for a two week vacation. And the story grows and grows and swells to the end. Enjoy this great book.
It is so interesting to read about each member of the Stone family. Marshal is more rough around the edges compared to his other brothers. Coming back to South Port to help with the Inn gives him a new understanding of himself. This is a very interesting and inspiring story.
Enjoying this series. Character growth and maturity help Marshall and Kat find their way back to each other. Lots of family and friends make a well-rounded story believable and enjoyable. Highly Recommend!
