So I'm a mood reader and I think this was a good transition back to fluff and smut. It had just enough pain in the beginning to keep me hooked (I was just going though a pain and unhappy ending type phase before reading this) and it took me back to my fluff and smut phase.

We have Veela Draco who finds out his mate is none other than Hermione Granger at 16 and he denies it to himself and marries Astoria Greengrass when he finished Hogwarts. When a marriage law comes into place Draco is forced to confront his bond due to Hermione's close proximity. I don't want to ruin how because I was a little shocked when I read that first or second chapter when we find out. I have to say, I really liked that twist.

Anyway, there is some emotional pain here because Draco turns into a bigoted arsehole any time he is confronted with his attraction to Hermione and I would say there is maybe some dubious consent there in the beginning when Hermione agrees to have sex with him to save his life due to the Veela in him.

An overall interesting take on Veela Draco with Hermione as his mate. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Draco Malfoy is part Veela. He gets nothing from that except he has a mate. He knows who is mate is but fights it. He marries someone that is not his mate and figures he is happy. He returns to England after some years away and moves back into the Manor
Hermione Granger, in a very strange turn of events, moves into Malfoy Manor after she marries, because they were friendly post war, Lucius Malfoy after a marriage mandate is put in place.

The problem is that Hermione Granger is Draco Malfoy's mate. And he stills hates her.

ugh this fic has teenage "my mom sold me to one direction now what am i going to do" vibes

conveniently all the people close to hermione die, so when a marriage law is activated she marries LUCIUS because he is her ONLY FRIEND?

and while she is married to LUCIUS, DRACO is married to ASTORIA and the 4 of them live together in Malfoy Manor, in this situation draco has no choice but to confess that Hermione is his mate, and his father LUCIUS - HERMIONE'S HUSBAND - asks her to have sex with his son to save him.

Can’t believe I am saying this about a Veela soulmates smutfest, but this was meh. D and H are married to Astoria and Lucius, respectively. D is a douche of epic proportions and never properly redeems himself and H is an insecure doormat with the personality of a wet wipe. Nope
