K.E. O’Connor is the author of the Witch Haven mystery series, the Crypt Witch cozy mysteries, the Lorna Shadow ghost mysteries, the Holly Holmes baking mysteries, the Zee Town paranormal cozy series, and the Old Sarum mystery series, along with other titles available if you cast the right spell. She can imagine dragons, taste cookies when they aren’t even there, and hear the crack of a witch’s broom at a hundred paces.
K.E. (the K stands for Karen) lives in the United Kingdom (it isn’t very united, but that’s a mystery for another time) among the mystical stones and fairy creatures of Somerset. She graduated from the Universities of Southampton and Reading, where she received degrees in Archaeology and Cognitive Evolution (both highly entertaining to take part in, but with the career options of a ground witch’s toe bone.)

Luna Brimstone is still having problems with her wonky magic and suddenly, she is expected to be head judge on a television magic baking show. Then a body turns up. It looks like a tragic accident, but Luna is certain that it's not. As she investigates, she attempts to balance her judging duties, dodgy magic and a werewolf who is suspicious of her abilities whilst trying to avoid the attention of Devlin Goody, an investigator with the Magic Council, who is already suspicious of her magic. And so we have yet another great Witch Haven mystery. I was fortunate enough to get hold of an advanced review copy of this book and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. It is well worth the read.
A film crew has come to town for the filming of the next great blockbuster. The leading man is a heartthrob. The leading lady leaves a lot to be desired. Trouble is certainly brewing when the leading lady is found dead. When it looks like the leading man may have been the murderer, Evelyn and Tyler jump into the investigation. Things just aren’t what they seem. Can Evelyn figure this out or will she need to use her magic to solve things? Wonderful characters! I love Evelyn, Tyler, Aunt Edie, Harriett, and the rest of the crew! A most delightful read!
This a fun cozy paranormal story about a movie group coming to town that is using The Melting Pot as their caterer. Evelyn gets involved when the lady star fires her assistant and gives her the job. Murder happens during their meet and greet. So who killed the leading lady is the question for the rest of the story. When there are witches involved anything can happen.
Luna is so stressed out and her magic is not working and Declined from the Witch council wants to find out why so many different magic signals are in her baking. Add a cooking show with prima donnas and add a murder which Luna is good at solving and you won't want to boom this one down.
Luna is a bad witch who has victims believing shes thier only hope. Stockholm syndrome anyone? I mean, I get that she isn’t generally a good person but people go to jail for this. I don’t like her.
