《西湖梦寻》是晚明著名散文家张岱的作品。

张岱（1597-约1676），字宗子，后改字石公，号陶庵，山阴（今浙江绍兴）人，侨寓杭州。明亡后披发入山，安贫著书。张岱提倡任情适性的文风，其题材范围广阔。《西湖梦寻》是作者在国破家亡后所写的有关西湖的掌故，文笔清新，表达了对故国乡土的追恋之情。

此次出版，以光绪刻本《西湖梦寻》为底本，并吸收了已有的整理成果，对原《西湖梦寻》中所附引的诗文做了删除处理。
