I read these books so quickly. Immediately after reading the first book I was purchasing the next both in audiobook and hard copy. I did not want to stop. I’ve recommended this series to all my other “smut” lovers out there. It has great characters, a good amount of smut but also the story line is very strong and keeps you wanting more. Very easy reads! I gave 5 stars (especially for the first 4 books).

WARNING Do not start unless you want to read 21 books in a series!
Each book carries a warning about explicit sex and child abuse. The historic child abuse is sickening. The story is about the intention to find out whodunnit, exploring relationships developing along the way. The sex scenes are steamy and many are the same old, same old! Those of the middle brother are very similar to later ones involving the eldest brother - they both like spanking high achieving women who are submissive in sex and use the same (boring) terms - book 4 hasn't even started on the third brother! Each book ends on a cliff hanger, which means that you have to buy the next book to find out what happens next. I loathe this type of trick - One story stretched to raise money.

This was a read filled with disturbing and possibly triggering content. Each book picks up where the other left off. I'm certain that I would have given lower stars if I didn't have this boxset because I am not a fan of stopping a story just to "make another book" that should have been part of the original book anyway. Despite this boxset having 4 books in it, there is still a cliffhanger (a major one at that) at the end of book 4.
Warning: There are 21 books in this saga and I'm willing to bet they all end with some sort of cliffhanger.
If you are looking for a clean read, skip this book. It is full of disturbing content, adult language, and adult scenes (both sexual and violent).
The first 3 books are written from the pov of Talon Steel and Jade. The 4th book is the beginning of Jonah and Melanie's perspectives but the story is continued. I enjoyed the insight into the brothers so far, and the women that they are falling for.
This book has dynamic characters, angst, things that will endear you and things that will make you roll your eyes. I've enjoyed reading it, though I wish it was cleaner. I am not a fan of bad language, and I could care less what people think happens in a bedroom (most books aren't realistic anyway). It has been interesting learning about the different characters. Now I'm forced to buy the next boxset to find out if the mystery is ever solved.

Talon and Jade can't get enough of each other. So when jade sees her moms new boyfriends tattoo she wants the same one. Only problem is it triggered talon and he demands she not get one. He still won't talk to her about his past but he did tell her he loved her. Will Talon get the help he needs?
Possession book 3
Talon has finally talked to a psychologist and is heading in the right way he told his sister and finally told jade. Talon finally knows who two of the three men who kidnapped him sadly jade knew both. Can they figure out who the third is?
Melt Book 4
Jonah is still feeling guilty for his brother's kidnapping 25 year ago. He finally with sit down and get help from Dr Melanie Carmichael. Melanie has a thing for Jonah but its against the rules. Can Jonah find another Dr and be able to have Melanie? Or will her guilt from a deceased patient push her away? Great read.

If you are looking for something incredible, read this!
I am not sure where to start with this review. This is my first introduction to Helen Hardt's books and I am simply at a loss for words. This gripping, heartbreaking, mind blowing, soul crushing yet uplifting series will leave you breathless on one page and smiling on the next. You'll run a myriad of emotions, anger, fear, confusion and yes you'll cry. You'll simply have to, there will be no other choice. Mind boggling, yes, in parts. You'll question how this can even exist in our world, but it does. You will move in with the Steele family and be front row and center for their weaknesses and strengths. You'll witness their pain and sadness as well as their struggles and growth. And you will watch them love with every cell in their being. This is only the beginning of this phenomenal story. But it is also a journey, one you don't simply read, but feel with every single page.

I live on SSI,which is why I only spend $9.99 A month for my KU subscription.
I understand that you who write need to make a living,but I need to eat,pay rent,utilities, and so fourth. I never read you before because of the prices,and I really enjoyed what you shared with KU. It would really be nice if you shared the rest of the series,maybe just another 4 at a time.
I'm so sorry that I will miss the pleasure of your writing because of the steep prices,maybe you should consider a deal with Amazon to release more of this series in KU.

Gripping read I couldn't put down
For the most part, I live this series. The twists and turns are enticing. The way the characters are broken but lovable. The darkness in the characters are story kept me reading. I had a hard time with some of the dialogue though. It's silly but I just couldn't hear the characters speak so cleanly. As ranchers, I wanted a little drawl, a little more grit. More real and less editor. I'm not a huge fane of multiple single POV so the character jumps annoyed me. But the storyline is very sound. Be prepared to spend money on the series. I'm sad I won't be able to finish the series due to the cost. Guess I'll have to guess who did it.

Why?
I would have given this a much higher rating, because I totally got caught up in the story, except for the fact that there was no ending. There are apparently a total of 23 books in this series. The next 5 are almost $ 40.0 with with no ending in sight. As an avid reader who is retired and living on a fixed income, I just cannot afford the books. Does the author even think of her readers or only about how much she can fleece us for? Unless you want to keep throwing money away without getting a resolution, I do not recommend starting this series. Shame on you Helen Hardt!

Once you start this series you will just crave more and more, and with Talon and Jade's story the reader is surrounded by characters that they instantly fall in love with. Broken, destroyed and completely unlovable, Talon's past is filled with terror and heartbreak and it takes the love of a special woman to break down his walls and prove to him that he is worthy and can be loved. No matter how many books this series will end up with, the beginning is one you will read and re-read time and time again.

I would have given this book four stars but for the ending. I don't like books that can't stand alone. It can give a lead into the next book, and continue with the overall storyline, but I want the particular theme, in this book the relationship between Jonah and Melanie, to be somewhat resolved. It is not.
That said, it is well written. The author keeps the reader's interest, not quite enough to call it the page turner of the first book.

Be prepared to get drawn in!
I was drawn in from the beginning. The strength of Talon is amazing. I worried about him and Jade. Then getting to know Talons brothers I was hooked on the fight they had on their hands. Poor Melanie, how can she stay so strong in spite of what she is going through?. Will Joe be able to save her? Can she save him? You won't know if you don't read more!

Helen Hardt has made a difficult subject into a story that shows us that it's ok not be ok, and that healing is something that a victim is allowed to do. The characters are so well written and the stories of these brothers is sad, loving, heroic and you get sucked in to wanting to save each character. Whether a victim or a bystander, everyone needs to learn to heal.

I really enjoyed reading. I read this before but wanted to reading again. Love the Steeles. I will continue to read the rest as they are so interesting you can't keep all the facts and details straight. I feel like I know them personally. Highly recommend reading several times.

This was a hard box set to put down – the books really had me hooked
The characters were great, they were really well developed, and I loved getting to know them.
It was an excellent set of books all around and I thought the storyline was excellent.
It is 5 stars from me – very highly recommended!

Amazing
This whole set is amazing. I have read every book in this series. Helen Hardt is an amazing writer and always keeps us guessing what is going to come next. I call he the Queen of the Cliffhangers.

This sounded like it could be a good read but it was too repetitive like the author wanted to draw it out! So many frustrating unnecessary cliffhangers when you basically knew what was coming! Apparently it goes on for about 9 books, sadly I won’t be going any further.

Great original story line, but men that steamroller women, and do what they want, regardless of what she says in the bedroom, are a real turn off. Ended up not finishing the book because of it.

Not worth your time or money. With over books in the series (most at 7 .95) the first 4 which were free is just fancy prolly. And...the sex scenes are repetitive and poorly written.DO NOT BUY!!!

Intense!
Raw, intense and incredibly human. Real characters, personal trauma. If you may be triggered by intense pain and abuse, this is not for you. I have not been so drawn to a series as I have with this. Incredible, gripping, haunting and genuinely sexy all in one!

I think this book has way to much detailed sex. It was supposed to be a mystery.. The story itself was I interesting, but if I wanted to read about raunchy cocks and pussy I would bought a sex book.

Brilliant read.
These books have kept me enthralled from start to finish.
To the point I've stayed up until 4am finishing them.
Well written and while there is a very strong sexual element it's done very well indeed.

Easy reading
Box sets are great. They make jumping into the next story easy and in this series that is ideal. The stories all end with a cliffhanger and the next picks up right into the action, romances and secrets. Good story and great characters!
