I pulled an all-nighter to read this epic conclusion for Eden and all her men. It was well worth it, itoo. No Bad Deed is one of my most anticipated books of the year.

Questions I asked myself while reading this book,

Is No Bad Deed Darker than the first? Hell yeah, it's dark gray with a splash of black.

Is this book spicy as hell? Oh, Yeah. I had my suspicions of some of the guy's kinks, and Emma Cole brought her A-game.

Are there secrets, lies, betrayals, and twists? Yes, the book has so many, and don't get me started on some side characters.

Did I experience their pain? Damn did I.

The book starts shortly after book one; Eden is back to be with her men and help them out of their legal situation. These men are not the same as before she left. Vinnie has plans that include Eden. As much as I love all the men; Santos is still my favorite, and his pain is the most excruciating out of all the men. Each of their love for Eden is beautiful and except her for who she is and is fiercely protective of her and her of them.

This is a must-read duet. It’s dark, painful, and beautiful. I was ecstatic to have been sucked into their world and will miss them.

I liked this book but I didnt' love it.

The pacing was off. The conclusion, take down of the baddies and the epilogue was just not satisfying enough.

Would love to have seen more than a few pages.

Also, the pay off for making the heroine suffer so much was not there - why make the reader suffer unless you make it epic?

Dark/twisted/Hot/Amazing FMC

What a way to end this duet... Eden is an amazing FMC she has flaws and I love that. The character development was really good. Her relationship with the guys was not forced and it was really hot to see her open up to that guys and them to her.

The secrets, the betrayal, and all the trauma in this book was hard to read but so amazingly done. It keept the story interesting and I didn't wanted to stop reading...

The guys did grovel and they had a taste of all the pain Eden had to suffer. I loved how she bonded with Vanni they were amazing. Each relationship with the guys is very unic.

There were some revelations that I didn't expect but I was pleasantly surprise...

Amazing read I'm sad that is done the ending had me wanting more of them... 😔

Read the Trigger Warnings

This series has too much noncon for my tastes. This book especially had way too much noncon, and it starts pretty early in the book. It also didn’t really make the story better or more interesting, so what was the point?

Also, the author has all characters who were raped acting as if it barely matters. No therapy, very few emotions. They all just move on with their lives.

Also, the ending was a little too easy considering how much was going on in the middle. Why didn’t they just do all that to begin with?

This really was an epic conclusion. I have been anxiously waiting for this finale and it did not disappoint. After that cliffhanger back in book 1, we were left with questions. What happened? Are the guys ok? What’s the catch if Eden comes home? No mafia boss would just say “ok come home”. Name one fictional mob boss who would. I’ll wait.

This book is steamy AF!! The boys get down and dirty with our girl and I was here for it! Not only that, it definitely played on all my emotions. The love they have for Eden is breathtaking. The chemistry between all of them is so tangible and potent. But let me tell you, Santos and Eden? That’s that reach for the stars, touchdown, World Series kinda thing. The real drama and action come a little further into the book but everything unfolded and just flowed really well.

So many depraved acts happen in this conclusion to Eden and the guys' story. While our guys are trying to get Santos' father under control, every single thing goes off the rails. EVERYTHING. Secrets are uncovered. Revenge goes sideways. Meglomaniacs get more brazen. It's just insane. I did love the steamy scenes and how the guys and Eden grow closer. But there is definitely a dark cloud over this book. I felt the ending was a tiny bit rushed. The overall duology though was gripping and kept me glued to the entire story...no matter how I wanted to look away at times. I'll definitely recommend the story for my friends who like dark reverse harem.

Bish I’m done!!! How you gonna do me like that straight out the damn gate. Rip my heart out stomp on it drive a bus over it and then back up. Folks hold on for your MFKN life because this book was darker, grittier and one hell of a roller coaster ride. Nothing has ever come easy to Eden and she really came through this time around everything that she has been through and went through in this book god some of it was gut wrenching and made my heart just ache but she would do anything to protect her guys. Eden and the guys absolutely were made for each other. They each bring something that completes Eden and she is their Sun and moon together they are the perfect pairing. Some of these scenes man they had me cussing and crying and wanting to throw my kindle out the window and question why is Emma doing this to me but I had faith in her process and in the end it was everything!!! I will never forget these characters! This duet made my little black heart so freaking happy.

Fabulous end to this duet! What a wild ride Eden has to take - and an emotional one at that. There are many ups and downs, but she just wants off. All she wants is her HEA. There are some dark/harder to read scenes so make sure to read the trigger warnings. There’s a lot of wonderfully delicious steamy scenes! After that cliffhanger we didn’t really know up from down or what would happen next. Eden ends up having to make a life changing decision of whether or not to go back to her men. When she gets home things are different, much has happened since they split ways. There’s trauma, pain, and even more darkness surrounding her men. This book is action packed full of betrayals, hidden agendas and lies. The journey she takes isn’t an easy one, but it’s thrilling all the same. Parts of it she has to take by herself. By the end everything wraps up nicely, any questions left were answered. Overall, it was a fantastic end to this duet. It's gritty and raw – emotional, and harrowing – but in the end full of love. They finally get their well deserved HEA. 🖤

What the actually bloody hell just happened in this finale?? My head is exploding with all the plot twists and turns in this book but my god were they flaming good!!!

Eden (FMC) didnt have an easy time in the first book and this 2nd one is no different but to me (yes a lot of what happens to her here is hard reading) because shes now clean (drug free) her strength shines through more. With her being back in the guys life she seemed to pull them all together. Yes with some very steamy scenarios between them all but it made them all confront what they are to each other. There are some hard to read parts in this book so be warned but to me the relationship between Eden and the guys are what i liked the most about this duet.

Its a dark read but one that completely drew me in. I enjoyed reading it and i loved the main characters so much

Considering I was still reeling in shock over the end of the first book this one really took me by surprise. It's start with a bang that's for sure when one of Eden's men is raped after they are all arrested. Honestly I'm not sure if this book helped me like this duet more or if I'm just complacent at this point. It was an OK duet for me overall it just lacked something IMO. Eden gets assaulted yet again and I dunno it's weird that no one really deals with anything they've gone through from the drugs to the assaults. I wasn't blown away by the threat here either and I was less than shocked it turned out to be Santos's father whom they should have just killed off in the first book after learning what he did or tried to do to Eden. It had a cute end but I still wish they all dealt with their issues and showed some type of rebirth from the ashes because they all could use a fresh start. As for the mafia profession, this was another read where their connections felt like a secondary story. OK duet overall just didn't love it 🤷 🤷

What an AMAZING ending to this duet!

This book is dark, dirty and twisted and I am here for it!

Eden is such a strong FMC. She has been through so much in both book of the duet and the way Emma wrote, you could feel the pain right along with her. She is so much stronger by the end and it makes my heart so happy!

The guys were driving me crazy there for a minute, but once they got their crap together, you really get to see their love for Eden. They fought so hard for her forgiveness and they had to grovel while she made them work for it. Each relationship is unique and I love them together.

There were some revelations I was not expecting and I couldn't stop reading. I am so sad it's over but this was the perfect ending! Cant wait to add these to my bookshelves!

After the cliff-hanger in book 1 books 2 was worth the wait! Erin is called home as the guys are facing jail for a crime they didn't commit. but is everything truly as it seems? Edens been through a lot and just when you thought things had settled she on the war path again, the guys have a lot to make up for! with twists, turns, suspense, drama, action and hot scenes galore this conclusion is not to be missed!

What an end…

Eden is an amazingly strong FMC, with everything that happens during these books, you honestly grasp the pain, struggle and strength she has.

I hated the guy there for a while, but in this book, it was fantastic seeing their growth, and regret.

I’m sad it’s over, but I will warn you there are triggers, so enter deut with that in mind.

XOXO Lottie.

I've been eagerly awaiting book two after the cliffhanger of the first book in the series back in February.
We go straight into the story with Eden returning home and helping the boys. Eden teams up with Vinnie-the boy's dad, to get everything under control. The boys get back, everything starts to go crazy. Angst, drama and secrets are coming at you 100 miles per hour.
The relationships between each brother and Eden brings different things to the book.
This book was a Dark, Twisty, Hot 2nd book.
If you like Dark Mafia Romance, this is for you.
Take notes of the trigger warnings as they get rough in some parts!!

The plot of this was hard to follow and I felt like there was a lot of stuff left out. also wish the spicy scenes were a bit longer, some of them seemed cut short and not very detailed. Also there was a lot of sexual assault in this series that all the characters just kinda overlooked… it was odd to me.

This is the second book in the Bad Habits duology and it’s the perfect complement to No Good Deed! The ups and downs kept me reading way past my bed time. I loved seeing Eden gain confidence in herself and taking control of her life as best she could. The guys had plenty of growth as well, both as individuals and as men who care about Eden. There was a nice mix of groveling, heart-to-hearts, and healing via bedroom activities. The spice also went way up from the first book and it was 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶hot! There is a perfect amount of secrecy and subterfuge that keeps the reader guessing until the end, which kept the pages turning.

This is a DARK story, so please pay attention to the trigger warnings in the beginning of the book!

I only recently discovered Emma Cole through her book No Good Deed, and I have to admit it hooked me in such a way that I've had a hard time waiting until I could read the conclusion of the story with No Bad Deed, a conclusion I was able to enjoy with some anticipation thanks to an ARC she kindly provided me with days before publication. I am an avid reader of dark books. I am hugely drawn to "bad" characters, with little or no moral compass, and who are also not ashamed of who they are or what they do as a way of life. It could be said that the more trigger warnings the book contains, the more power of attraction it has over me. We all search for something when we read or when we write, perhaps we all have an alter ego inside that we need to feed to keep our sanity on the outside. I find that nourishment in books like these two by Emma Cole that I discovered by chance.

Although it may not be politically correct, I like characters in dark books to take drugs, I like them to enjoy them, to stop being good guys and give in to temptation, or, as in the case of Eden, to use them for their own intimate and personal purposes. That's why Eden has fascinated me as a character, because she has suffered, she has suffered a lot, and she has remade herself. She has struggled and sought her way away from the more orthodox morality; she seeks to build a life to go on living and move forward. She defends her way of thinking, her way of living, her idea of sex and love, which is the result of the evolution of the girl she once was, and which is being developed through her many scars.

The sex scenes are highly addictive, and the last part of the second book kept me up until the wee hours of the morning.

All in all, Emma Cole has done a great job with this Bad Habits duology. Congratulations.

good, but not great

-reverse harem
-triggers present (rape, prostitution, drug use, kidnapping, torture)
-book 2 of 2
-HEA
-spice = 2/5

2.5 stars rounded up to 3 for the entire duet.

Honestly, I liked the plot of the story, but the execution fell flat to me. I'm not sure if I just don't seem to mesh with the authors writing style or what, but I found it quite hard to follow the story in a few places. The dialogue wasn't always easy to follow. It felt like details to flesh out a conversation were missing. Also, I don't personally think there was enough relationship building. Especially with Tony and Santos. I know her and Santos have a past, but that was a decade ago, and I wanted to see them connecting in current time. It felt like we were told their feelings during their inner monologues, but we didn't get to SEE enough relationship building actually occurring. They had a few convos and we were already reading about how they loved each other. I almost would have preferred her to make this a trilogy, or made her books longer so she could have really built the connection between the characters. I needed more, and I didn't get it from these two books.

Also, the spice wasn't very spicy. Let me be clear, it was detailed for sure, but honestly the bedroom scenes came off as awkward. Usually, I find myself getting a little hot and bothered from the well written spice in books, but I just didn't feel the sexual tension in this duet. The characters even mentioned it was awkward several times. It just wasn't very hot in my opinion.

Not a horrible duet by any means, but definitely not something I want to rave about.

Holy SH** y'all, not gonna lie, that was one dark and bumpy ride! I loved Eden though! As gruff and unpolished and real as the character was, she had a softness to her that made you want her to come out on top and burn EVERYTHING to the ground! She and the guys had some obstacles to overcome though, and these authors DID NOT make their HEA an easy ride. Her determination and grit carried her through the hardest parts of the journey, and her perseverance was admirable. Can't say I'd be able to get back up time and time again if I'd been knocked down as much as she'd been.
And the guys! I really felt like each one brought something she was in dire need of to the table, and come on, tatted up pierced mobsters who could resist? Tony brought stability. He was a natural leader, and I thought he'd done a great job as the makeshift general of the crew. Santos was her sweet first love, back with some not so sweet and wholesome feelings for her. Vanni was strong, silent, reliable, the protector who protected all her protectors. Then sweet, funny, adorable Marco. The jester of the crew. Any of them alone would be hard not to fall for, but all of them together? The complete package!
Their road was long, I had to put my Kindle in the freezer (Friends reference) at certain parts, but I trusted these authors to take me on a journey, and boy did they deliver! When all the secrets are out and everything is cleared up, you just find yourself leaning back and thanking the authors for being so thorough. They pulled out all the stops and gave Eden and her boys every bit of what they deserved... eventually lol.

Loved!!🖤

I absolutely adored stepping back into the mafia world of the Carlotti’s with Eden and her guys.

To cry, reading the actions her departure triggers—their love for each other, not being able to stop, or help - f***!!! I did not expect for them to bring me to tears. They now knew how Eden felt. Vanni broke my heart. Tony always stalwart, so much more beneath the surface.

How this family survives, the continued abuse, mafia lifestyle, threats—the conclusion of this duet is everything we needed. My one need, I’d have loved so much more from the Carlotti family.

I’ll leave with this quote stuck in my head for Eden. She’s a survivor, she’s strong, and she’s everything these four men needed.

“Some days my jagged pieces barely fit inside me without bleeding me out on the floor with every breath I took.”

Safety squad warning - DARK RH. If you have triggers, don’t complain afterwards. This contains a wide range of trauma and starts in the first chapter. It is an adult read. 4.5 ⭐️

a decent conclusion for this duet.

I enjoyed the first book, even with the major trauma that Eden endured. I was eager to see these men give into their feelings and claim her. But it was brutal, enjoyable, but brutal.
So I went into this one knowing the remaining guys would give in. I knew they wouldn’t be able to hold back.
It was so good to see Tony give in and claim Eden.
Marco and Vanni have my heart though. Not sorry, not even a little bit.

"You're never leaving us again, Edie, promise. I don't care who says what. You fight to stay, and I'll fight to keep you. Deal?"
— No Bad Deed: A Dark Mafia Romance (Bad Habits Duology Book 2) by Emma Cole

I don’t think this book is lacking anything, but the end and epilogue did feel a little rushed. I would have loved to see Eden’s tormentors get what was coming to them in bigger ways, though I still enjoyed it.
I do enjoy Emma Cole and how she traumatizes me, so I’ll definitely read her again.

Oh the ups and downs of this series! This duet hooked me in and drug me through hell with it! I absolutely loved the twists and turns! Though this book was an amazing read for ME, please check all TW before diving into the book! Like described, this is a dark mafia book with the content to back that label! If blood, gore, lots of sex (some not willing) and plain out rape, then maybe find another book! Though they are a harsh topic to accept, it adds to the story line of a stripper trying to live with a drug addiction! If you are questioning if you think it fits your taste, the READ IT! I didn’t regret it!

Oh boy, you're in for a dark and delicious treat. First off, check your TW's as this book has some rough scenes to get through. That being said, I absolutely LOVED it! I really enjoyed this group of characters that are so determined to protect each other as well as help heal each of their traumas. The steamy bits were so dang hot 🥵. The storyline has a natural flow that leads to a very happy ending. I kinda wish it wasn't over!

I liked Eden and the guys sorting out their relationships. There was a lot of crazy and dark stuff, including yet another rubbish father. Doc was still my favorite. The Fields revelation was a bit weird. Santos and Eden finally back on level ground, kidnapping and a strange pregnancy fixation where everyone good guys and bad guys want Eden to have their baby. It got weird but the tattoo was interesting.

What a good ass conclusion to this duet. I was a little worried in the middle/end area. We had some negotiations go down and I was biting my nails in worry.

I’d love to see a small novella about where we are at now. Kids? Still HBIC if territory etc etc

So much spice and such a good storyline. @emmacoleauthor killed this book 🥵❤️

My heart!!! Emma, my dear, you broke it with the prison scene. I literally cried… not my boys!! I’m so happy the group got their happy ending… especially Eden and Santos. Eden of course overcame more abuse in a way only Eden could. I’m glad Santos’ father got what was coming to him.. I only wish the group hadn’t had to suffer. Well done on the conclusion of this series!

This was a fantastic duet! I love everything about Eden's character, her strength even I the face of absolute hopelessness, her drive to make it work with her men even when secrets are being withheld. This duet throws you through an emotional rollercoaster ride but its all worth it.
