This is everything that I want in a soap-making book! So many of my questions are answered here. It's well-organized, sufficiently descriptive, and features beautiful images throughout. I love the author's zero-waste philosophy (the journey to natural, sustainable living is imperfect, but beautiful and accessible to all). Recipes include soaps, shampoo/conditioners, deodorant, salves, serums, masks, creams, makeup cubes. Plenty of detail about ingredients (what they are, how they function, and where to get them) without getting too scientific for a layperson.
Loved that book ! I wasn’t expecting the good to have recipes other than soaps! If you are looking for a book about zero waste DIY soaps, serums, creams and lotions, this is for you ! The author is amazing and , plus, the pictures are so cute 🌱
I loved the book! Next to the soap recipes and clear explanation there is much more to explore. I ended up making shampoo bars as well - something didn’t expect to be possible at home. The soaps are curing now so I can’t tell you how they turned out yet, but the journey so far was a pleasure indeed.
As a seasoned soap maker looking to expand my knowledge I found this book to be a lovely resource. It is detailed and explains why we do the things we do in soap making. This book covers body care products and cold process soap, (no hot process recipes).
