Helena Quade was a werewolf, half of one anyways since her mother was human, traveling with her grandfather, the pack’s alpha, to a summit to talk about a rogue wolf. The summit was being held at the VonBrandt’s mansion and ranch. Like the rest of the women who came to this event, she was also to see if their fated mate was among the other clan’s single men. In her clan, wolf only married wolf, and women were less than second-class citizens. Then her grandfather discovered she had been doing the boy’s business at the ranch and promptly fired her. Work had been her everything for the past eight months, and now she had nothing to look forward to. Well, she had alcohol to look forward to, and due to her cousin’s suggestion, maybe some male company for the night, even if he was human. But when she met Ash, she had never felt like this before. What was happening to her?
For this story, the world-building was well done, and the character interaction was done well. The character’s history shows bigotry which adds a taste of realism. Especially in nurture over nature, as the older alpha was trying to pass down his prejudices, but I was glad to see that a lowly human showed him that he had no horse to sit upon.
If you like paranormal shifter romance, you might want to read this tale of love at first sight and betrayal. I give this love story five stars out of five stars.

Half wolf. Helena had been raised by a human mother and a shifter father. Her pack hated humans and didn't treat her mother very well. Mating with humans was forbidden. Her pack Alpha is pressuring her to find a mate before the end of the weekend.
Human. Ash's father disappeared when he was six, about the time his little sister, Lisa, was born. Their mother was an alcoholic. When Ash was 18, his mother took off, leaving him the deed to the house and his sister to raise. When Lisa was eighteen, Ash decided he deserved some adventure and fun.
The authors do a great job of having these two main characters wallow in the angst of their upbringing, all the while giving in to fate. In a shifter's life, fate may designate their ideal mate. Nothing says their mate has to be another shifter. Helena and Ash are two broken people who can heal each other, who need each other. Fate has decreed they will love each other. And so the magic goes. But it doesn't come without a price. Recommended.

In all honesty when I first started reading this book, I found it boring. Since I have times where I find things I usually like boring even when they aren't, I figured this was one of those times. I was correct. As I continued to read the storyI became invested in it and had to know how it ended. I like how the author tell you in the beginning of the book that there are Easter Eggs in this book and when books the eggs refer to (A different series). I haven't read that series yet. However, knowing these books have to do with the main characters in that other series make those books next on my tbr list. The book was well written and engaging enough to get my head out of a muddled state (that it is usually in) to enjoy the book.

Helena belongs to the Quade pack whose Alpha (her grandfather) seems to have some old school thoughts on running his ranch and his pack. Helena has been running the ranch the last several years but her grandfather has told her to stop and find a mate. She decides to have a night out before she is committed to a mate. She is drawn to a local man named Ash. A one night stand ensues and the mate bond begins. Unfortunately for Helena, Ash isn't a wolf and her grandfather won't allow the bond. Luckily the Van Brandt's are there to help her out. There is a HEA and some humor as well. I highly recommend this story and the series. This was a fun read and I want to thank the author for the ebook!

Finally a descent size book!! Lol her Grandpa is a fucking asshole!! He needs 2 get off his fucking high horse and stop being prejudice against humans. They all r supposeded 2 find their fated mates not ignore it and what he did 2 her cause of her fated mate was human in excuseable but the alpha should have really beat the hell out of him since his wife's a human. But it was very good that ash stepped up and did it instead defending her. Her cousins needed a beat down 2 4 just standing there!!

I'm very conflicted about this book.
On one hand I found it a fun, quick read. I loved the chemistry between Helena and Ash, even if it was insta-love.
Now, on the other hand, I did find the dialogue way too childish. There were some words they said that made me cringe. If it wasn't for that, I might've given this book more stars. Might have.
Even with cringe worthy dialogue, I am interested in reading the other books in the series. So it wasn't that bad overall.

I couldn't wait to get to the next page, next chapter. I love they're story weaving and the characters are amazing. Funny and the chemistry is there for the reader to feel.
Any one that enjoys a Shifter novel, this is the one for you!!
I'm definitely going to read them all.

Liked this book. Cute and fun story.
Worked fine as a stand alone, even though other characters from the series are mentioned, I never felt lost.
Could definitely have been longer but it fulfilled everything I like in a shifter romance.

This is a well written story with awesome characters. I read this one in one sitting. I love the Somewhere Texas stories. This one is worth your time. I think you will fall in love with this series like I have. I would encourage everyone to go get this one.

A really fascinating Sci-fi Paranormal read. I appreciate Ash & Helena's love story it was adorable and leaves you in faded mystery. In a way this book is truly sweet to read wolf packs & there drama filled world.

To Plan For A Mate
The story was good. The intimacy was good. The shifter world story was good. I was a little bummed with the Quade family leadership, but I guess someone had to be the villain. This story is tempting enough that I'm thinking of buying the next book.

Excellent read
I loved this crazy mixed up shifter story. My heart went out to the two of them childhoods should never be rough. Not everyone in life is cruel and it was fun watching them grow.

This was another great read. This series with its characters and storylines are a truly engaging a make read the next page a must.
