Waking up on the floor of a dirty, old Camping trailer, Nora finds that she isn’t alone. The fact that all of those locked in with her are women between the ages of 20 and 40 doesn’t bode well.
Escape is the only alternative in Nora’s mind.
Subduing the two idiots that the seven of them clearly outnumber seems possible, until they see one of their captors turn into a wolf. Having proof that werewolves exist is bad. The strange feeling that the drug they were given may have changed them into one is terrifying.
Unable to deny that shifters exist and fearing that they too have become something of myth, they fight for their own freedom, running into an unknown future and right into the Pack.
Lynn Leite is an author, artist, teacher and mother of three. Her wild imagination, and gift for gab blended perfectly in 2009, when she decided to write it all down. In addition to writing, she designs and illustrates her own covers.
More like 2.5 stars for an idea of plot and romance, it had potential, but... Book in general was so so, not horrible, but I definetly read much much better. Storyline sounded interesting, but turned out not so much. There was no chemistry between main characters and the love "because you are my soulmate" just didn't seem real. Everything seamed rushed. I would not recomend this book and I would not read the next in series.
Of course this first book in the series is great, I have no doubt the entire series will be equally as good. Its really nice to have authors you know will always deliver an amazingly entertaining read. Ms. Leite is definitely one of those I can always rely on to do so. Every time I discover a new book or series by her I feel happy and excited to start reading. That's the best compliment I can give any author.
Women were kidnapped and drugged, when they awakened they felt different and some were dead. Seven survived and escaped and were taken in by a pack. They found out the drug had changed them to wolf shifters and the pack has offered to house them, protect them and train them. In the end the one they felt was their Alpha finds her true mate, the chief Alpha. Great start to a series, this author is a wonderful storyteller.
True to form, Lynn Leite is introducing us to an interesting world. A rogue alpha with a drug to change humans into wolf shifters. A strong female lead and her male counterpart.
Book was missing large pieces in the story. Almost like whole chapters were not down loaded. Not happy to go from point a in story then be at point f and not know what going on. Not worth 3.99.
Yet another awesome story from Lynn Leite. She brings life to the characters, in everyday life situations, with a dash of paranormal. Great new series.
The Pack is a well written novel with one flaw. It ends in th e middle of the story! I have a feeling if all 4 books in series were combined, it would be a great novel .
There are A LOT of typos. At first I thought that's why I wasn't really getting into the book but then I realized it's because the flow is off. From dialog to scene building to character development, the flow is jagged.
It doesn't help that the ebook is a formatted mess. And I mean, it's REALLY bad. Excessive space everywhere. You think it's the end of the chapter, but it's not. Just half the page isn't on there. And of course, the typos. Both of which get worse and worse as the book goes on.
The only reason it's not a one star is because I like the premise. Several women turned into shifters and have to navigate their new world that they didn't know existed. It's a good concept with poor execution.
The blurb for this book sounded really interesting and I enjoyed reading the book but for what it was I can't justify paying four dollars for each book in the series. It just wasn't worth that much. If I could snag them on sales or read them through KU that would be another story but I don't think I am going to be continuing this series at this point in time
This was a fun light werewolf read that hit the vibe for a werewolf book. And I enjoyed reading it for that and for the general story because I love werewolves and it was a pretty interesting plot. I also liked the variety of character personalities in the book.
But I didn't really feel like the relationships between the characters actually developed at all, it was just like a flip of a switch and suddenly we like each other, yay.
One day you're a gym teacher, the next day you wake up with a bunch of other women locked in an old trailer who knows where, or why. Nora and the other women only know they feel strange, and two of the women in the trailer are dead. They could never in their wildest imaginations have believed what has happened to them. First, they must overcome their captors and escape. Will they find the help they need, or have they jumped from the frying pan into the fire? Read this first book in an engrossing new series and find out for yourself!
