Yunjo is a young prince who has always served his kingdom from behind the scenes. He’s spent his whole life in the shadow of his brother, the crown prince Yigang, fighting enemies and winning wars in his name. All that changes when one day, he meets Seolyun, a mysterious and charming woman who captivates him instantly. What happens when a man emerges from the shadows to follow his heart? Can he overcome all of the obstacles in his way to step into the light and be with the one he loves?
This series was also very good but it was very similar to one of my current tv series. There are two brothers but on is more powerful than the other but fakes it.
Both of the princes fall in love with the same girl though. The girl falls for the real one but she's really confused. She's trying to adjust and wrap her head around being a princess but her life gets threatened many times by the Crown Prince. Just to clarify her prince is the real Crown Prince but has to fake that he's not.
Eventually the fake Crown Prince dies and they get to marry each other and the story ends with the real Crown Prince marrying his love and having a child together.
As long as there was a happy ending I was satisfied. The tv series is What's wrong with Secretary Kim which is my new all time favorite.
"You're my sister," he said finally. "My sister, my blood, my family. I should want to protect you"—he laughed soundlessly without any humor—"to protect you from the sort of boys who want to do with you exactly what I want to do."
whoaaa, is one’s… pretty damn spectacular, my guy!!! and it’s hilariously funny, too. man, don’t even get me started… they’ve got me wheezing like a pig on steroids a lot of the time, i’m not even kidding. this gorgeousness definitely deserves a place in my top ten, no doubt! i honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it this much (i’ve been saying that a lot lately), but i’m more than pleased—and excited—by such a lovely turn of events! ugh, i’m so obsessed with this story and these goddamn lovable characters. it literally has EVERYTHING i’d ever need in a story. like humor and chemistry and power dynamics and clichés… including the sweetest, most innocent romance possible—with my new two favorite main characters at the center to keep the amazing chemistry flowing! and if that’s not all, yunjo’s constantly exuding big daddy energy in freakin’ WAVES, bro. it’s so fucking attractive i could cry. and i simply adore our power-lady yun, too!!! she’s so relatable and funny and strong and smart and ughhh, i just love her to pieces. they’re perfect together! such a power-couple, goddammit.
and hey, let’s not forget about the overall amazing storytelling, emotional depth, outstanding narration and this freakin’ ethereal-looking art which blesses our eyes continuously!!! such high-quality content, seriously. i’m soooo happy i decided to binge this tonight, you guys have no idea. now i can die happy. <3
edit: so… it’s over now. :( it’s a bittersweet feeling. i’m glad they didn’t drag it out and kept the progression steady ‘til the end, but i’m going to miss these guys. overall, this has been such a wonderful journey! don’t really know what else to say at this point, but know that it’s definitely worth the read.

I may give this more of a shot, but it goes WAY too fast. The art is pretty, but it is impossible to tell the brothers apart. The crown prince shows up to a beggar's house out of the blue, like it is completely normal. Also she just accepts being married to the younger brother, after knowing him two days. This is a whirlwind, I hope it gets better, but right now, it's only okay.
Tbh this webtoon started off well, but slowly went downhill. Suddenly, there are moments in which I no longer understood anything, and I feel that there were things that were completely unnecessary. In addition, the protagonists have sex even though they know they might be siblings, and I also think the art style went downhill too, so it was hard to tell the characters apart. I abandoned it around episode 80, and decided to pick it up again when it was already complete with 100 episodes or so, but I still don't like it. And the ending is quite rushed, like the many other Korean webtoons.
I love how the story didn't start from time traveling like some of the other historical/romance mangas that I've read which is usually on the protaggirl's pov as well--that i can't even remember the titles anm bec of too many similarities. Unlike this..There may also be very common twists and flavors..some may even be corny (depends on the reader). Yet, imho, it's cringeworthy. The characters genuinely portrayed the perfect ideal lovers. Despite being cliche, I really enjoy reading it because of how the story is still very authentic (like about the sword and relationships that are somewhat shaky in the process). I'd say it's quite remarkable and well-written. Kudos to the author/s of Shadow Bride! It's my first time rating and writing a review for a manga and I'm glad it's for this one. I can't wait for the latest update!
I loved how every character just had their head screwed on!! Everyone asked smart questions, figured out mysteries quite fast, did the sensible thing. Especially a female lead that's cute, funny and intelligent? Amazing 😍 Got to say though for building up suspense for sooo long and building an intricate web of deception, the resolution was SO quick, in like 2 episodes it was all resolved and then one more and everyone had a happy ending? I don't know.. the payoff could have been a little better I think
The novel does have the cliche plot of a love triangle between the main character and two brothers, but it's still so good. The main character is very fun to read about, the love interest we're all rooting for is kinda like a little puppy, and there is some family ordeal that is going on. The art is stunning.

I live for touch-her-and-I'll-kill-you MLs and this webtoon gave me exactly that! The story was a bit weird for me ngl because it has incest undertones but full 5 stars for the unhinged drama.
2.5 - Definitely a goofier webtoon, kinda lost the plot in the last 15 or so episodes, but kept me entertained for a few days. A little too much "are they siblings?" for me though.
dnf -> chp 14 very stereotypical, but atleast the male lead has long hair also im very afraid to continue this because is the author trying to scare us with incest? nope. never.
