Having recently escaped a stasis sphere with valuable intel recovered from the Lavorix god ship, Ancidium, Captain William Flint is given no time to rest.

The Kilvar aliens have attacked planet Basalt with a fleet of their near-invulnerable warships, intending to extract the life energies from the people living there. The local defence force is already out of the fight and the conclusion seems forgone.

Technology develops fast in wartime and the alliance has created new weapons to combat the Kilvar. A pair of annihilator battleships, each with differing and unique abilities are the best and only hope of freeing the planet.

Given command of the Nightfall, Flint, along with his Daklan counterpart Captain Vazox, must work together to inflict an unlikely defeat upon the Kilvar. However, the enemy have more than one reason to attack Basalt.

What happens will lead Flint and Vazox into an encounter even more deadly and one which is seemingly unwinnable. The Kilvar Fifth Seeking has entered alliance territory, and, if not stopped, will surely crush humanity and the Daklan alike.

Leading the Fifth Seeking is the Vilekron - a warship that even the Laws of Ancidium could not defeat…

Vilekron is a traditional-style science fiction action adventure and the third in the Forged Alliance series. Inside this book, a reader will find space combat, ruthless aliens, incredible tech and lots more.

Anthony James spent his youth reading what might now be called classic sci-fi and fantasy books. These days, he spends time in his study with the door locked against rampant and ferocious toddlers, writing books of his own.

That's the third person stuff out of the way.

For anyone who's read any of my books, you'll know that I write action science fiction that pulls no punches and which doesn't cram the good stuff into the last couple of chapters. The action starts early and it doesn't let up. I also take care to mix in plenty of humanity. The characters I write are all distinctly believable, often facing uncaring enemies and overwhelming odds. When they win, it's because they did their best.

Go on. Punch an alien today. Better yet, check out my series of books, each one filled with action, technology, warfare, aliens and against-the-odds survival. Lots of kick-back-and-enjoy weekend or evening reading.

One of the problems with reading a series back to back, is you can get critical of the characters.
When flint and co are sent to the new ship with its sister, the are on a shuttle for 2 hrs just chillin, then with a 5 min chat with the other ship they are 2hrs from the final destination. Flint dismissed the crew who for 2 weeks had been on a shakedown. Then his team had to find out how the ship worked! Wasting the 2 hr shuttle trip when they could have been doing the reading needed! Flint declared after 35 mins he had a good grasp of the systems, yet his team without the knowledge of the previous crew were still looking at stats reports and logs!
What utter incompetence!
I found quite a lot annoying bits like this, but I read on.
It's just pulp fiction but I kinda like that I will read more but need to break it up a bit

I almost walked away.

Just too much detail. Flint is always frustrated from all the detail he gets. I get it. It's a great story but I had to scan through all the words to find it. Sorry
