From the very first page to the last, the author keeps you guessing. The characters, especially Charlie and Don, are unforgettable personalities written in a way that will have you rooting for them from the very beginning. The attention to detail the author pours into her book shows how much she loves the genre she writes. An amazingly suspenseful thriller that will keep you riveted the entire time, with enough twists and turns to pull you in and have you reading into the wee hours of the night.
I truly enjoyed this story and plot. I was hooked from page 1 and immediately was drawn to Charlie and Adonis. Midway I started cheering for Charlie and Adonis. I could not stand Victoria and Billie had me mad wanting to jump in the story and whoop them both lol... I could not put the book down the suspense to get to the truth was mind-blowing. The author did an amazing job drawing the reader into the storyline. It's a page-turner and worth the read. I can't wait to read book 2
After discovering this author a little over a week ago and reading her books back to back, they're all beginning to sound alike. Always women who can't love a man due to a traumatic event from her past; being wishy washy, sending mixed signals until the man doesn't know if he hates her or loves her. You can overdo twists and in this book there were a lot of them. I just wanted to get to the end of this farce.
This book was amazing, page turning and very well written. I realized the villain in the middle of the book. I won't divulge who it is, you must read it for yourself. Kudos to Ms. LaRue' ! For a job well done. You have got to read this book, you won't be disappointed.
This is my first read by Toni Larue' and it won't be the last. The story drew me in from the first line and held my attention to the very end. Every character was well rounded and the plot was thorough. I can't wait to dive in to another read.
This book almost flew under my radar! This is the definition of a true urban crime thriller. My heart was pounding during the second to last chapter… there was a lot of drama and heart pounding moments.
I thought I figured out the plot but then it took a turn. This book was good from page 1. I did want another chapter or two about Adonis and Charlie but this was a great read. Def would recommend.
This was a very good read. At first I didn’t care for the main character Charlie, but then I understood her more. First book by this author but not the last.
