All Jenny Brown wants is an ordinary and easy life. But someone evil has his heart set on Jenny. Someone from the past whom she is trying to forget. This psychopath has returned from the dead to haunt Jenny, and nothing will stop him.

The second book in the trilogy is as gripping as the first book, if not even more. The plot is so good and engaging that it swallows you whole until you get immersed in the story. The pacing and the build-up suspense are laid evenly, which keeps it thrilling throughout.

For the characters, I am so proud to see Jenny become stronger each day despite all the hurt and the pain she went through. Jenny is an admirable character for her bravery and genuine heart. Tyler is a sweet guy. After I read his story about how Jenny has inspired him to be who he is now made me love the guy even more. Although he did not appear much in the second book, I hope the third book tells us what he has been up to. Also, Jenny's family and friends, especially Dean, are really great people, and I love how they are such a great support system to Jenny.

Overall, this is a great YA murder mystery with a touch of romance read. I could not put this book down, and I got so sad afterward when I realized I had finished the book. The plot twists are amazing and well thought of. The ending left me with so many questions that I want to go and jump into the last book right now.

This series is meant to be read in continuous order. As this book picks up from events in the first book. Which the latter half of the first book got me hooked to continue this series. Now that the mystery has been solved surrounding Jenny and her past, I was in to see Jenny find some happiness.

As I had said about the first book, I was undecided where Tyler was concerned. Well, I am happy to report that in this book I did warm up to him better and felt his love for Jenny. Yet, it seems that Jenny's happy ending will have to wait a bit longer as she other shady characters come out to haunt her. This time around I also grew more connected to the other characters. I look forward to seeing how this series concludes.

The sequel ‘A rose should be red’ by Akaku is that perfect novel you can carry with you on your vacation. The story focuses on the difficult life of Jenny Brown, who is being threatened and tortured by a psychopath. Jenny wishes to have a normal life with her lover Tyler, but that is the last wish that would be granted. The story opens with Jenny being saved from dying, and when she tried to believe that she is safe and out of trouble, she is startled by the creepy things done by the psychopath. He doesn’t stop with her, he also starts to hurt the people dear to her. This guy will go to any extent to get hold of her.
What I loved the most about the story is the character of Jenny. The author has developed it as a courageous one, fighting for her life. A good read!

🥀 “They say love is one way of happiness…
It should be stronger than hate, stronger than all the bad things in the world.” - Akaku Red

🥀 All Jenny Brown wants is a normal life. But her past is not ready to leave her alone. Someone has returned from the dead to haunt her. He is leaving creepy messages and threatening the people around her. He is ready to go to any extent to get back his precious possession Aka Jenny.

🥀 As you all know that I am a sucker for murder mysteries. I loved the first part of this trilogy and trust me the second part was even better. I started reading this book as a part of my reading ritual and ended up staying late at night to finish it. This book kept me hooked me from the very first page and I wasn’t able to put it down because yes I was longing for answers. But even after finishing it, I was left with some unanswered questions. I simply can’t wait for the last part.

🥀 Talking about Tyler, I guess I have love hate kind of relationship with the guy. At one moment he is the most caring and loving guy and next moment I want to punch him in the face for treating Jenny like shit. Seriously now I am even having doubts about his loyalty to Jenny. Let’s see what happens in the last part.

🥀 Trust me if you are a fan of YA murder mysteries and unexpected twists then you definitely need to read this one. Thanks to the author for sending me the ebook in exchange of an honest review.

I'm always down for a good thriller novel, and this fits that bill perfectly! Although I did not read Part one of the story, I felt that it read well as a standalone novel and provided enough of a backstory for readers to catch up with no trouble. Jenny's character was very likable and one that I could connect with on a complete level of understanding. I loved the premise of someone returning from the dead to haunt a lead character and the testing of trust that ensues. Though it is technically a murder mystery novel, I liked that the story was targeted to the YA audience, and it felt like an age appropriate read, though readers of a higher maturity level could also enjoy it. The added romance aspect thrown in with the mystery and suspense was also even more of a bonus and added a lot of emotion to the story that I certainly appreciated.

This sequel is everything!
Gripping, emotional, beautiful and thrilling!
I couldn’t stop reading it, finished it in one night, and I was so sad as I reached the last page.
I still have so many questions, and the twists were amazingly planned.
I never thought I would see an outcome like this!
The Tyler and Jenny moments were everything and I loved them so much.
Tyler is sweet, handsome and an amazing supporter for Jenny, even though in one scene I was mad that he left her alone.
But I guess he couldn’t hide his feelings anymore at some point.
Jenny is getting stronger little by little and I‘m so proud of her!
And can we appreciate Dean?
I mean I would take him.
God, I can’t wait for the last Part!

“A Rose should be Red - Part 2: Confessions” is a young adult mystery novel written by Akaku Red. This is the second book in the series and it is thrilling.
Jenny has been a victim of violence and of a terrible past for as long as she can remember and she only wants to leave all that behind. The problem is that her torturer has come back to finish his job. Tyler is in love with Jenny and wants to help her. Will they survive to see another day?
Murder mysteries are my favourite kind of stories and this is a fine example of the genre. It is extremely well written with a plot and characters that build up suspense until it is released in unexpected ways. I really enjoyed reading this book and I strongly recommend it.

A good second part

Akaku Red wrote the second part of the book called “A Rose Should be Red”. In this second part, the author describes a dangerous love that a psychopath feels for the main character.

Before understanding this serious issue, the plot seemed to be a little bit childish. However, then I understood that there was a sick person with an evil mind, and the whole story turned unputdownable.

Though I am not totally convinced about the way the climax of the story was built, and how the problems are solved, the book was good for a week’s read.

I give this story four stars out of five because it was entertaining.

Following Jenny's story, A Rose Should Be Red: Part 2, is the continuation of the incredible story of this young woman. Once Jenny starts to get used to her new life, someone from the past arrives to change everything. She just wants to live in peace and have a quiet life, but creepy messages and threats change everything.
I couldn't put down the second book in this series. I really enjoyed this one very much. I think the writing of the author is very good; it is simple and extremely engaging. The descriptions of the scenes are very complete and the characters are adorable, that’s why I´m giving it 5 out of 5 stars.

With a very catchy cover, this second book in the series caught my attention from the very beginning. A rose should be red -part 2- written by Akaku Red is a book that has a very good plot which hooked me from the first pages.
The author’s writing style is so good that she makes readers feel we are inside the story; I ended up feeling immersed in the read. Also, it is a middle length novel that reads quickly because it has a very good pace.
I really liked how the author managed to portray these main characters, especially the one of Tyler. I think she did a very good job with that.

Bizarre novel

I thought the second book would give you some answers. Sadly it did not. In fact it kind of left you hanging. Not too sure I liked either one.

Part 2 - confessions follows on from the intense ending of part 1 with more mysteries and higher stakes. I really enjoyed Jenny's growth, she's going through a lot but continues to support those around her. Like the first book, there a lot of twists to keep you hooked and it did make for a great mystery! If you enjoy thrillers and murder mysteries, I think you'll enjoy this series!
