The Planetary Republic and Star League have settled their differences. Treaties are signed, trade is restored. But spies and diplomatic turmoil lead to a high-tech cold war of epic proportions.
Ex Space Marine Gina Wilcox finds herself in a law enforcement career after the war, but life can be just as dangerous on the streets as the battlefield.
Sleeper cells activate, assassinating government officials. Crime syndicates flourish. And a certain high-tech android has been stolen by the League, spirited off world for unknown purposes.
Into this milieu a band of Marine outcasts join the fight. They spent more time in the brig than on the battlefield, yet racked up admirable wartime kill ratios. These renegades are quietly recruited by Republican Naval Intelligence to lead black ops against the League.
Gina Wilcox will join their leader Commander Hamilton Wolf in a risky interstellar quest to retrieve an android who doesn’t even realize she’s not human.
The fate of two civilizations hangs in the balance . . .
Alternate universe, SF advanced technology, space fantasy opera
With over 2400 pages, the local universe transitions from war to cold war between the players. Side characters take center stage with politics, assassinations, and undercover operations. A couple scenes depended on plot armor, but for the most part the stories are engaging. Excellent editing. Yeah, I'm going to buy the next ten books in the series.

With the war over, ex-Space Marines like Gina Wilcox are transitioning to civilian life. But when an old SSI code activates sleeper cells in the Republic's capital, Wilcox and a team of veterans suddenly find themselves in the middle of a deadly cold war. Below is a review of one of the books to give you an idea of what you’ll find in this terrific set!
*** Reviewing “TRISKELION CONSPIRACY #3” *** Chancellor Cole is murdered. Director Fonteneaux and Assistant Director Gina Wilcox participated in a virtual courtroom to answer the judge’s questions about the Agency of Justice (“AOJ”) raid on Mr. Griff Goodman’s house. They wanted a warrant now to search for the information they needed. They also told him they believed the Burgomeisters are tied to the murder of Chancellor Cole. They could show the court direct links to the opposition party and the Meisters if they obtained the warrant to establish additional ties between the two. But His Honor, Winston Winiford III, flatly denied their request!
That night former Marine Sergeant Gina Wilcox was having dinner with Javon Del Rio, an elite member of the media. He noticed her distraction as she thought about fighting SSI agents in a warehouse district on Sporades. He offered to help her with whatever was bothering her, and she knew she could trust him to keep a confidence. So she responded, “Well, there is a particular judge who has been rather obstinate lately . . .”
Sure enough, when she turned on the news, she heard the anchors discussing something quite interesting. “And we start this morning with some important news about the investigation into Chancellor Cole’s murder. Confidential sources are telling us that Judge Winston Winiford III is impeding the investigation by refusing to grant the Agency of Justice a warrant, and his actions are apparently hindering efforts to solve this extraordinary case . . .” Gina’s boss called to tell her how delighted she was that Gina was dating a reporter! They quickly executed the warrant that suddenly came through.
But now the deadliest assassin of them all, an assassin code-named Echelon, has just arrived by interplanetary transport. And things are about to get much, much worse… and a lot more personal.
This is an exciting, well-written series. This author can grab the reader’s attention like no other and hold that reader to a riveting pace. The story line moves quickly with so many things going on at once, intentionally keeping the reader off-balance. Grab your copy and enjoy these episodes of an action-packed adventure you won’t want to put down! Seriously, you are going to love this collection!
I don't read a lot of science fiction, though I do have a few authors I like. This author is one of them. He writes sweeping space operas that he manages to bring down to the personal level. He's done just that in this book. The former hot war is over, but keeping the peace isn't easy. We see that through the lens of a former Marine turned law enforcement. Parts of this collection certainly rang true like any well-done Earth-based law enforcement story, but the added elements of space warfare and intrigue added an epic element to them. The author knows how to craft believable characters and storylines that pull you right in and keep you turning the pages to see what will happen. If you like well-written space science fiction, you can't go wrong with this 10-book set that tips the scales at over 2000 Amazon pages.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
This is a science fiction space opera action series all in one collection. No rooting around trying to find the next book.
The series is well written and easy to read with a fast paced action plot that grabs you at the start and keeps going right to the end. The setting is well developed and keeps growing with each book. The characters are excellent, well developed and capable. I like strong female leads and we actually have a couple of good leads in this series. The series includes lots of several twists and turns, intrigue and action so it is never boring. Overall, a highly enjoyable series and I can't wait to see what our author comes up with next.
Highly recommended

The battles were won from the last series and peace is finally here. But of course that is just the story the leaders are saying as Ex Space Marine Gina Wilcox transfers from fighting in the war to becoming an awesome detective in the new world (universe) order. This series shows how Gina and her teams fight behind the scenes to keep the peace. The stories were addicting, fun, dangerous, full of intrigue, betrayal, surprises and interesting characters. Fast paced and entertaining as I followed along with the silliness and craziness that people come up with. I loved them all and liked that it was not the same story over and over but all were different and had lots of action and insanity.
I have read 2 of the 10 books so far and have enjoyed both of them. Each one of the books, "Detective Wilcox" and "Storm Warning" could be read as stand alone books. I think the world building is very good. The characters are great! Even the supporting characters are well fleshed out. There is political intrigue as well as detecting skills at work in these books. Watch out for assassins! I thought the books were easy to read and I couldn't put them down.. I thought it was very entertaining and it was action packed. I did not get bored reading these books. I am excited about reading the rest of the books in this series and I would recommend the set to anyone who likes a book with a intriguing plot.

In the first few pages, I wondered if this was for me, but I soon got hooked and started to like the persons in the books. Quite good action too, without getting too depressing. Good to read some books where you dont feel like the whole universe is against the main characters, and where the people in power does not all have some 2nd and 3rd agenda to foil our heroes.
Really liked this book. Very well written. Great characters brought to life. I've carried my Kindle with me everywhere that might have a wait time so I could enjoy reading while waiting. It's great to read a good book that stands on its own and doesn't have to depend on four letter words to fill space. I look forward to reading more of Jaxon Reed.
Enjoyed it amen secure as it cover to cover while in the hospital. Will look up more of his work cause I'm not leaving anytime soon. Thanks and keep up the good work.
If you enjoy action packed good guys vs bad guys science fiction you will like this series. Still a few loose ends out there so I assume we'll here more on this.
The intricate weaving of all the characters and their lives against the background of the overall story of the fight to maintain the Republic is masterful. I will be reading more of this authors work.I recommend this series greatly.
This was a really enjoyable read. It only took me a few nights. I highly recommend this series of 10 books to anyone and I’m hoping that there are future installments coming soon.
The books keep you entertained and make you want to keep reading.the books pick up one after the other without any lag or trying to read between the lines.
Really. I just could not put this series of books down. It was believable and fast packed and did not stretch my credulity that much it was so well done
A grand continuation of the Space Pirate story lines. I wish I could keep my tales of adventure half as interesting. I am a little saddened that I have finished it. The series has kept me raptly interested for 16 (or more) books.
As with all of his books that I've read so far, Mr.Fred's writing style transfixes and transforms one into his world. The reader gets so absorbed in the story, visualizing each exciting part in a way that is unprecedented. Please do yourself a favor and read these books, you will be happy you did!!
A really good series, a lot going on, maybe just a little too much.
This is a rollicking fast paced series. A lot going on, that’s why the book is in titled agents of the planetary republic. You would think it would revolve around one main character when you start off the series but you would be wrong. The books are multi threaded plot lines involving different agents as well as their enemies. And when you’re finished not all the plot lines are resolved so the storyline is still open ended. There were times that you would laugh, cry, and cheer for the main protagonist. They didn’t win every battle and lost some friends along the way. I would’ve given us a five star review except for the authors pension of sound effects for the guns, I thought that was a little bit amateurish and juvenile. All in all a very good story.
I have a lot of problems with the execution. The characters and story lines are great, and I finished the series because I really wanted to know wht happened to them, and how they resolved what issues they faced There are too many juvenile elements in the writing to ignore them. Do we REALLY need the explosions and gunshots to be separated out, in all caps and bold text? That's only one example, but there were numerous others. There were a couple of places in the tale where I had to convince myself that I cared enough about the characters to continue the book. If I had of been paying Amazon price (probably $4.99?) I would have given up somewhere around the middle of book 3. I also own the "Pirates of the Milkyway" box set, as it was on the same 99 cent sale. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to read it, or not.
Pure escapism- rated more PG -16 than expected these
Overall, this is a fun escapist read, it is not though, for the faint of heart. The amount of death, destruction, violence, and sexual assault is off the charts. I started with the star farmer series, which led me back to the beginning, which would be Pirates of the Milky Way, and of course I needed to read agents of the planetary republic. All three series have overwhelming, political overtones. But I look at it is all in good fun and nothing too serious. Some might take exception to this, but everyone has an opinion. The author has several quirks, one that gets tiresome is describing characters in both metric and imperial measurements. Don’t take it too seriously and you should enjoy these books.
Even with some amazingly bad editing errors which made sentences unreadable this wasn't a bad series. I actually didn't realize it tied in with books I have already read bit that made it better when the old characters came along.
I don't do spoilers so let's just say the story moves along at a decent pace with enough twists and turns to stay interesting. Even near the end things are still sorting themselves out across all of the characters. So, is it a great read? Nope. It has quite a few editing mistakes which detracts from the writing and some characters are shallow but it is still worth your time if you like this author.
Agents of the Planetary Republic Books 1-10 by Jaxon Reed is a great box set that I have enjoyed reading. I am glad I have read this box set I usually don't read much Sci-Fi but this box set was not a disappointment. I recommend this box set to everyone who likes reading Sci-Fi.

Not great literature, but good, clean sci-fi fun, with guns that make a dorky sound - thoop, thoop!
Occasionally you get vibes of a physics PhD student on a trip, for example when the time-travelers go time-traveling to help their time-traveling future in the past.
This is the second series of his that I have read. Like the first, easy to follow, develops characters well, and throws in a little humor. Will definitely read more of his writings .
