I really liked this book. The stories start strong, and you do not want to let go till you finish reading the entire story once you start. First story takes place in a mansion situated in the blackrift valley, where things ultimately turns into a supernatural horror mystery . Tension builds up fairly well and early in the story and remains high throughout, making it hard to put down till finish. The second story and the third are related, and set in prehistoric period of this world. Second story is horror themed and fairly shorter than others, and though independent, it sets the stage for the third. Third is an adventure, from the eyes of these prehistoric people. Fourth one is loosely based on Italy. A father-son story from the perspective of the father, trying to do whatever it takes to save his ailing son. There is a lovecraftian undertone throughout the stories and some humor sprinkled in the ease the tension at times.

I really liked this book, so much so I decided to order a paperback. The stories start strong, and manages to keep your interest. First story is a lovecraftian cosmic horror in medieval settings. Second and third are prehistoric, with a strong lovecraftian undertone, from the perspective of prehistoric people. The fourth is a father-son story as the father does whatever it takes to save his ailing son. People who love cosmic horror and H.P. Lovecraft's works shall definitely love this book. There is also some humor sparkled in, which is relieving amid the tension that builds up.
