In South Carolina, Grace Walters leads a secret life. Married to a handsome, ambitious banker and raising four children in an affluent neighborhood, it appears that Grace has what every woman dreams of. Behind closed doors, however, she suffers at the hands of an abusive husband and distant children. Feeling alone in the world after the death of her mother, she retreats to the ancestral home, Potter Plantation. Hiring artsy Dean Simon and his emotionally bereft brother-in-law, Sebastian Marshall, to rehab the estate, Grace finds friendships which will prove to be vital when she discovers that her family harbors more secrets than she had ever suspected. While boxing up her mother's belongings, she stumbles across the journal of her ancestor, Sarah Corey, and is stunned to find that she and Sarah share much more than blood. Ghostly occurrences at Potter Plantation begin to take on more significance as Grace digs deeper into her family history while trying to protect her children. Sebastian, dealing with his own demons since the death of his wife and son, finds a kindred spirit in Grace and their friendship grows into something deeper while they attempt to find a way to reconcile the past with the present and determine how to move forward toward more meaningful lives.

Being the only girl in her family, in fact the first female born into her father's family in sixty-five years, Sandy found escape from Matchbox cars, smelly bathrooms, and a general disdain for anything feminine, in books. Eventually the characters in her own head, clamoring to get out, found their way to paper. "Wait for Me" is her first novel and represents her love of history, romance, and a touch of paranormal.

In her real life, Sandy works as a speech language pathologist and moved to her dream town in Florida from the Midwest with her husband, two sons, and spoiled dog. She dreams in full length movies and tries her best to find quiet times to get them onto paper.

She loves your reviews and hopes that you are moved enough by her writing to share your thoughts. Be sure to visit her blog at http://sandyhuth.com/ and follow her on Tumblr.

The book was excellent. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot. I usually doesn't like ghost stories but this was good. Couldn't put it down and the ending was great.

It has everything...

To the rest of the world Grace has it all...a handsome, rich husband, 4 children, a beautiful home, and a dog. But there are some secrets that no one can share and they are destroying this picture perfect family. This book has so many features...violence, love, romance, mystery, ghosts, and redemption. Two people in desperate need of being saved are brought together under strange circumstances. A 200 year old journal's events are eerily connected to events in the present.
Good story and good writing make this a very enjoyable read.
