HUNTER:

Nothing’s worse than being falsely accused of a crime you didn’t commit, especially when it leaves your life in ruins. Now I’m rebuilding mine with nothing but my catamaran. Life as a tour guide is predictable, but I’m professional with my passengers and keep my distance—except when my gorgeous client Cameron doesn’t keep his.

With Cameron, I’m anything but professional.

He has his own trauma, but we click fast. As soon as I decide to follow him home to Seattle, a shadow from my past shows up to haunt me. The longer I stay with Cameron, the more danger I know he’s in. Leaving would break both our hearts, but I won’t pull him under with me.

CAMERON:

No one else survived the boating accident—just me. That was two years ago, and open waters have terrified me ever since. Now that therapy has me making bold choices, I arrange a boating tour with Hunter and put the gruff captain in charge of my fears. When we’re blown off course, Hunter and I get a lot closer.

But it’s more than that: I conquer my demons out on the water.

Hunter’s good for me, and I invite the tall and rugged sailor to my home in Seattle. Just when I start to heal, a bitter face from Hunter’s past cuts into our bliss. Fresh starts are rare, and men like Hunter are even rarer. I’m falling in love, but I’m afraid his past won’t let him go.

This is a standalone MM romance.

I really enjoyed this book, with 2 credible MC's and with very hot sex scenes between them

This books was...good. It was certainly cute! I liked Cameron and Hunter together.

The biggest issue for me was how the main “issue” was “resolved”. It was done in a quick, and frankly stupid, manner.

Slight spoilers here:

This “problem” is essentially Hunter’s ex, Ron, who still thinks Hunter killed his father. News flash: He didn’t, and the guy who was convicted of the fire to Ron’s father’s store looks very similar to Hunter.

Now Ron is CONVINCED Hunter killed his dad. To the point where he hires PI’s to tail him. He scours the internet to find any mention of Hunter. He stalks him daily and shows up at places Hunter is like restaurants to scream at him. He sends Hunter messages threatening to kill him.

All of this goes away, literally, when Hunter punches a mugger who is trying to rob Ron by knifepoint. It is the MOST RANDOM SCENE and I shit you not, as soon as that happens, Ron suddenly let’s everything go and apologizes to Hunter. He’s all “Wow my life flashed before my eyes and turns out dedicating years of my life to stalking you was a mistake that’s my bad!! Are you mad at me??” LITERALLY. It was truly the MOST ridiculous “conclusion” to a book’s major conflict I have ever, ever read.

Perhaps if they made Ron’s angry, creepy, and threatening behavior less...angry, creepy, and threatening, it may have made more sense? Or if, I don’t know, Hunter finally reported Ron to the police and he was taken away in handcuffs? And we get a nice mention in the epilogue that Ron is seeing a therapist (maybe even Cameron’s!) to learn how to cope with his father’s death and is working through his projected anger towards Hunter? God, I don’t know. Just something more satisfying and believable.

Ultimately, this book was nice. I thought Hunter and Cameron were cute together. It didn’t completely pull me in like other books have in the past, and the way the whole Ron issue was resolved was pretty awful and rushed.

This is another good book from Jason Collins and is the story of two men who help each other, and are drawn to each other, often unintentionally, through the trauma of past tragedies.

Cameron, the only survivor of a tragic boating accident and at the suggestion of his therapist, books a week away on a catamaran to help him overcome his fear of water. Hunter is the owner of the catamaran and runs tourist trips as a means to escape the terrible accusations made by his ex of which he was cleared. There is an instant attraction between the two men when Cameron first steps onto the boat, but neither man is ready for any form of relationship, especially Hunter who refuses to mix business with pleasure. However when Cameron goes into panic mode when the boat hits some turbulent water and again when he panics during a swim, Hunter soon lets his defenses down and finds himself falling for Cameron. As the week progresses they both find their feelings intensifying and Hunter finds himself going back to the city with Cameron. However, once he's back it becomes apparent that his ex is stalking him as he shows up everywhere! After a few tense meetings and one heroic act, the past is laid to rest and Hunter and Cameron can move on to their happy ever after.

I really enjoyed this book as it has everything - some heart tugging moments, some funny moments and of course some steamy moments. Cameron and Hunter were easy characters to like though I did find some of the dialogue on Hunters part a little stilted. All in all it was a good read and one that I can recommend. I was given an ARC for an honest review.

This was a really touching story about healing and love! I adored both Hunter and Cameron and felt for what they went through, and these two have been through a lot! I really felt like they were so perfect for each other!

Hunter was accused of a crime he didn't commit and relentlessly hounded by his angry ex. He now runs a catamaran tour business and works to keep his distance from everyone. Cameron was a sole survivor of a boat crash and deals with a lot of survivors guilt and a serious fear of water. In an attempt to confront his fears, Cameron books a vacation on the water, on Hunter's boat.

The relationship that builds between these two is hot and sweet, they develop very real feelings for each other quite quickly. These two also quickly realize that their feelings go beyond just a fun week at sea. That's where they face some definite challenges, Cameron has a busy career in Seattle and Hunter is doing all he can to avoid Seattle and his ex.

I love that these two really do work at making their relationship work. It's not easy and they have to tackle some major issues but they don't give up. There are definitely some tense moments, but it's all worth it and I loved seeing how their story came together, even when it comes to Hunter and his ex. There is love and healing and these two are definitely a great couple with a wonderful story!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Cameron and Hunter. Cameron book a week long boating tour to get over his fear of the water after he almost died in a boating accident. Cameron's therapist was supporting him and wanted him to get better. When Cameron met Hunter, he thought he was very attractive, but Hunter was not very friendly. Hunter owned the boat and operated the tours, he also had secrets. Hunter never wanted to get close to any of his customers, but Cameron was very tempting. Hunter was also worried Cameron was there to find him and uncover his secrets. Cameron was an investment banker and wanted to get to know Hunter, but when he searched him on the internet, Hunter became angry. They reached a truce and soon started to grow closer. After they shared their secrets, they began a fling, and when Cameron's tour was over, he wanted Hunter to return to the city with him, but Hunter was scared his past would surface again. I really liked this book, I liked how they developed a friendship and then more. I love how Hunter got Camerone to trust him and helped him get over his fears. Cameron also helped Hunter get over his past, but Hunter had to face some things himself. Another good one from Jason.

I love each of Jason Collins books because they are about men who seem real and have to deal with real world problems and ultimately find their own inner strength in themselves and together. I loved the personal and relationship growth of both Cameron and Hunter in Docked. Both Cameron and Hunter must overcome their separate fears from past traumas to be together. This starts when Cameron vacations on Hunter's catamaran for a week to overcome his fears of the water and finds more than just healing and courage, he finds love. Hunter is understandably skittish of love since his past love is still hounding him with more and more frightening harassment. Jason Collins ties up this edge-of-your-seat suspense with a neat HEA you will not want to miss. I have read many Jason Collins books and am happily leaving my review for this ARC.

Cam is braver than I am. Sometimes you are in the right place, meeting the right people at the right time. Hunter is rebuilding his life from an unfair complicated conflict. Cameron is rebuilding his life from a life affirming traumatic event, that created debilitating fears. They are each other's rock and strength. This is an exciting suspenseful story with a few twists and surprises. Will Hunter find his peace? Will Cameron find his strength? Will Hunter find justice? Excellent story, very riveting. I could read this story several times and enjoy each reacing. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hunter and Cameron go through a lot in this book to get to their happy ending, but it is so worth it. Their relationship is so sweet as they both work through their issues to get closer and form a relationship that will last. I really enjoyed the way that Jason writes books, he brings a quality to his characters that make them seem so realistic and makes you care about them. The scenes are steamy, as per a Jason Collins book, and the feelings are very real. I really loved the way that Hunter and Cameron didn't give up on each other when things got tough but stayed strong for each other. I really loved every thing about this book. I would definitely recommend this book.

Hunter and Cameron are both likeable characters who have their share of trauma and past hurts to work through. I really felt Cameron’s anxiety as he faced his fears on open water. His growth towards realising the changes he needs to make in his life was wonderful to see. As for Hunter, I loved his encouragement of Cameron and how truly understanding he was. The shadow from his past creates a decent amount of suspense and tension as it threatens to break what he and Cameron building together. A good amount of heat and tenderness, and a touch of angst before a well-deserved HEA.

Both Hunter and Cameron are haunted by their past. I felt Cameron’s anxiety as he faced his fears. Hunter’s kindness and encouragement made him a hero to me. It wasn’t easy to watch his own past following him around and blocking any attempts he made at happiness. They both have things to work through but I liked that they were each willing to try and make their relationship work. Cameron’s realization that he would need to make big changes in order to work things out and the steps he takes to get there made me admire him even more.

FEARS CAN BE OVERCOME

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

Hunter is being stalked by an ex-lover who believes he killed his father. Cameron is having survivor’s guilt for being the only person to survive a boat wreck after drowning. These two men fight their problems together to find a life full of love and understanding. This story gives you a look into how the different classes live and treat each other along with how one hell-bent mindset can destroy a person’s life.

I liked Docked by Jason Collins. I liked Hunter and Cameron. I liked how they met and how Cameron worked through his phobia of drowning after being the sole survivor of a boating accident. Hunter has also had tragedy in his past connected to his ex-boyfriend, who has become his stalker whenever he's on land. I liked the chemistry between them and how they responded to Hunter's ex. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Another great read from Jason. Words flowed, complex characters, a crazy ex, humour and hot sensual scenes from Cameron and Hunter. What more could you ask for.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I definitely recommend this book.

This book is excellent! The personal obstacles they have to overcome are not easy. They are the perfect compliment for each other. The way Hunter just eases Cameron with his touch is the sweetest thing. I can’t get enough of these two. Perfect opposites

I have read a good number of books by this author and most of them are pretty good. This one wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either - I found that I wasn’t too invested in their story and didn’t really care if they had their HEA or not. I just didn’t work too well for me.

Jason does it again with his well balanced mixture of palpable sex and intense angst that gives us a bloody good story. Hunter and Cameron are both gorgeous and as the attraction builds so does Cameron's PTSD, while Hunter's protective side emerges, the perfect couple, right? A great story.

A good story, with interesting characters and an unique storyline. Cameron and Hunter had really good chemistry, without an insta-love vibe. I enjoyed how it all worked out.
