I tried, I really tried to get into this series but the story was lack luster and the shifters are nothing special. The background crime story still doesn't give much away which I am sure will fill the 3rd and final book but I just can't do it. I have not enjoyed these books and I will not torture myself with the 3rd book.

She never saw it coming
I have to admit this really was a terrific book, ticking many of the boxes when it came down to strong independent self assured women.
Cassidy realises I a flash of self preservation that her soon to be ex was the exact opposite In personality than she thought, for most of their relationship Cassidy had compromised allowing Ben to basically be the person who decided on everything that occurred within this dysfunctional pairing.
It was time to change, even though Cassidy believed herself in love, she knew staying together was not an option, Ben would never allow her to be herself or have any independence, so taking a deep breath she did the deed and suddenly she she is twenty six and single.
There is definitely enough action to go around in fact I think between the chemistry that is buzzing between Jamie and Cassidy along with the never ending people trying to create havoc in their lives these two gorgeous characters find themselves central to almost anything that occurs around them.
It's as if they are magnets for trouble, both seem to find themselves either the cause or result of someone else's drama, somehow due to other's focusing on Janie and Cassidy they become the focus of individual vendettas.
As is usual with dragon's Jamie is extremely protective of Cassidy, but due to many different reasons, Cassidy believes he has a bit of a hot temper and is over reacting, but she is soon to find out being over cautious is definitely a positive reaction considering what happens when Cassidy thinks she is safe.
These two characters are simply gorgeous together, I found myself chuckling at a few of their crazy antics and how well they bumped off each other, they certainly balance and compliment each other, the only issue really is Cassidy having trust issues, but time would alleviate that
I am not going to say much more about the storyline because I will end up spilling something, although I must say Ms Meadows did a terrific job of finely balancing two very strong characters, especially when Cassidy is a strong determined and independent woman who is having a relationship with an alpha male, but this male knows how to accept strength where its due and Jamie finds himself drawn to this side of Cassidy's personality..
I must praise these superb characters it was so easy to see feel and relate to the numerous situations they found themselves neck deep in while always supporting each other in anything they chose to do.
If paranormal romance is a favourite of yours then you really do need to grab a copy of this book today, you will be sitting back and enjoying every page you turn. I highly recommend the book to all paranormal romance lovers.

In what era is this book supposed to be written in; the words used are not from the modern age. Passage from actual book.
“I got accepted to the university, kiddo,” I went on, feeling slightly cheered by the conversation. “Scholarship, ditto. Ben refused to be happy for me, said it’s all my fault, then I booted him in his keister.”
Who says kiddo and to a grown woman at that? And, keister?? Sounds like it should be dialogue from the 60's. Here's another which belongs in the 20's
“Am I?” I asked. “Then why do I feel like a heel?”
Huh?! And I'm to believe this is a modern day romance?? Since this is an on going review as I read, there will be more added.
Also, so far, its the same storyline as the last book only instead of the heroine leaving because she wants kids, this one leaves because she wants a career. This book is not giving me high hopes.
19% in and I am not caring for the female lead, Cassidy, at all. As instated earlier, her conversations sound as if they belong in another time period but now she is seeming untrustworthy. After going out to lunch with her professor and promising not to tell anyone, the first thing she does is call her bestie about the lunch she had shared with him. That is not a quality I find appealing in any character. Also, her personality is your typical ditsy collage age girl who thinks more with her libido than her brain and he isn't much better.
Even though he's is supposed to be a dragon, there is nothing, IMO, alpha about him. He talks to her as if he is a teenager trapped in a mans body. "Come and get me babe." Sorry, but that is not the dialogue of a mature professor.
After 61 pages, I had to DNF'd due to all of the reasons above. Out of style dialogue which sounded as though it should be set in a different century not a modern day Dragon story. The heroine, Cassidy, is your typical, ditzy college student who tries to be tough but is just irritating. The professor, Jamie, other than being a Dragon, has no Alpha qualities, IMO.
Also, have read the previous book its not very original and couldn't keep me involved with the characters. TBH I couldn't care less what happened to the characters.

This book has a slight connection to the first book in the series (Daddy Dragon's Runaway Bride). Jaime is a friend of King's and has an office in the same building as King's practice.
Cassidy is breaking it off with her fiance. It has always been her dream to go to college and get a degree in broadcasting. Ben seemed to be able to ignore anything that Cassidy wanted that didn't fit into his plan of marriage and kids, with her as a stay-at-home mom. Cassidy starts school and is taking an anthropology class as an elective. This is where she meets Professor Jaime Hawkins. When Ben accosts her on campus, Jaime comes to her rescue and then invites her to go to lunch with him. Even though Jaime could get fired for dating Cassidy. he proceeds to do just that. One day while heading to his office, which is in an off-campus building, he overhears a conversation that sounds like two men discussing illegal activities. He ducks into his office hoping they don't realize that he was listening to them, unfortunately, he is wrong.
Lots of drama in this book as Cassidy ends up with not one, but two men coming after her and Jaime has someone trying to kill him. Fortunately, Jaime is a dragon shifter. Unfortunately, Cassidy has a deep mistrust of shifters. Still some stuff that hasn't been solved by the end of this one so there will be at least one more in the series.

This book rocks! A wonderful story, the tale of Jaime and Cassidy is full of love, dragons, wolves and a bit of danger. Cassidy has just broken off her engagement with her fiance Ben when she realizes that he will never let her follow her dream of going to college. She thinks it’s over but he will continue to stalk and threaten her. Jaime is a dragon shifter and one of her professors. They click immediately but are being careful with their relationship. He will overhear things in his office that will put him in danger and her refusing to help a classmate cheat will do the same to her. All the while Ben continues to be a problem. After an attack, she will be present when Jaime’s trouble comes to find him and it will be her worst nightmare, the man she loves is a dragon shifter. She will pull away but after finding out more about shifters, from shifters, she finds her fears were unfounded and it will allow her to bridge the gap between her and Jaime. It will bring them back together and start them down the path towards their happily ever after.

2nd book of the Alpha Dragon series.

This is the second book of this series and you need to have read the first one to read this one or you will be completely lost. Some of the antagonist of the first book are in this one and Good grief the mystery of the first one is not explained in this one either. This is the story of Air head, Me, me, me aka Cassidy and Jaime the alpha Dragon. This book have me questioning where this take place or if they have someone to do a little research, "Ring etiquette" anyone and there were so many things that made me roll my eyes. In general is not a bad story but because I really couldn't stand the heroine, till almost the end, It was a difficult story for me to read. Another thing you feel like you are really reading 2 stories and the second story is just poking fragments of it But it is not told completely. I want to know what is gonna happen, so hopefully in the next book they will explained it. Cross fingers!

Bad luck or fate fighting to be right?
I really like this book. Thought it would be a duplicate story with just names & plot change, NOPE. This is the story of Jaime and Cassidy. Lots of twist, steamy sex and changing of perceptions and relationships.
Jaimie Hawkins is a dragon shifter and professor of Anthropology. He's has an off campus office in King's building (from the 1st book). He's protective in general as a dragon, but mess with his mate, whoa, watch out. He crosses some lines. Not far enough in one situation in my opinion, but that's the wonderful character & plot with LOTS of twist.
Cassidy is in his class. She's recently broke up with her fiancé, Ben, after she realizes he's a control freak, narcissist, that doesn't want to let Cassidy go. Woe for him. She ends up having to with Ben's & another student's aggressive behaviors. As well as overcoming her fear and misunderstanding of dragon shifters.

Well written enjoyable second romantic story in this series that kept my intention. This is about Cassidy Lynch who left her fiancé Ben to pursue a career to go to school for Broadcast Journalism instead the marriage and kids that Ben dreamed for them and Professor Jaime Hawkins of Anthropology, dragon shifter. Cassidy catches the eye of Professor Jaime Hawkins of Anthropology, during his class on the growth of mankind in Africa. At the end of his classes Jaime walks to his car and sees Cassidy having a confrontation with her ex fiancé and rescues her and invites her to lunch which she accepts. This leads to a forbidden romance between them that full of dangers. Will it last? The drama included in this shifter story was engaging and I found that I liked the main characters as this story unfolded to the conclusion. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.

This amazing Book 2 in The Runaway Dragon Mates Book Series is a steamy standalone shifter romance story, a runaway bride romance with a sexy, strong irresistible, alpha male and second chance at love. It is well written book has characters who are well crafted with well-developed histories and personalities. This has a wonderful story and has an element of suspense and mystery and secrets from her past. The characters in this book are well crafted with issues which they resolve and the characters have growth. The story has drama, suspense, laughter and a lot of emotions to keep the reader engaged and entertained. A must read Book Series.

Action packed
When you are scared of shifters but constantly threatened by humans who is going to protect you . An action packed story with so many twists it could serve as a corkscrew. Never a dull moment and so many villains coming out of the woodwork it will keep you guessing who is after whom and how will they ever survive to find real love.. I am not normally a fan of teacher/ student stories but this is far from the usual young woman/ older man type as there is no imbalance of power and our heroine can more than hold her own corner . Enjoyed every page and cant wait for the next in the series

Cassidy and Jaime, a dragon shifter professor, meet in class and he saves her from her ex-fiancee a little later in the day. Inviting her to lunch afterward, to talk, they hit it off and find a connection. Her ex keeps showing up and causing trouble, as does another student who wanted to cheat and Cassidy said NO. There are also bad guys where Jaime has an office and he gets on their kill list. The characters are terrific and I really like Sam, the wolf shifter, and Felix the real cat on her office floor. The action and romance combine for one entertaining story that you just can not put down. Loved the ending.

What do each of these four people do for a living or want to do? What happens when Cassidy is leaving class one day? When she is headed home and talking to Jamie on the phone, what happens? This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Alpha Dragon's Forbidden Mate by Serena Meadows is the second book in the Runaway Dragon Mates series. This fast paced read kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the easy way the relationship developed between Jaime and Cassidy! Lots of action, some crazy, sexy heat (Mature Readers Only) and a great storyline made this a fun read. There is closure to Jaime and Cassidy's romance, but the underlying story is still open and heading for the next read.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Cassidy leaves her fiancé Ben at the alter in pursuit of her own dreams. She heads off to university and has a crush on her professor, Dr. Jaime Hawkins they start getting quite close but they have to keep their relationship quiet. Bad things start happening dangerous things should they stay together for love, or separate for deceit, can they overcome with one or both.

Fantastic story
I am really enjoying reading this series. In this book we read about Cassidy who has broken off her engagement to Ben so she can get an education in her field of interest as a reporter, and Jaime who is a dragon shifter and the Professor of anthropology. Cassidy is in Jaime’s class where they both feel an attraction. Their romance thrives until danger enters both their lives. Will their love survive the danger.

Amazing story about a dragon shift and his mate

Cassidy and Janie are attracted to each other. However, Cassidy is afraid of shifters. Various people are trying to kill them.
These characters are stubborn, unique, and relatable
This fast paced action drama still ends in a mystery. I like the different personalities of the shifter's world.

Exciting Read!
I enjoyed reading about Jamie and Cassidy! Instant attraction on both ends! Some guys just can't take no for an answer! If someone does not want you, just keep moving because there is always some one else down the road who does. There is some crazy stuff going on in this book with psychotic people doing crazy stupid stuff! However, I do think that others will enjoy it! I do recommend it!

Lots of psycho people in the world
Sure are a lot of psychos who wanting to get what they feel they deserve regardless of what anyone else wants. Liked the kitty cat at the office. I also liked how the guard comes to the rescue go Sam go! I like the stores but honestly find them a but predictable in other word pretty much the same type of issues in all of the books with just a little change.

So, they got married at last. I enjoyed this book. What I like is how all the characters from each book is connected. Jamie and Cassidy might have tried to be secretly discreet but I knew it would not last. They loved each other against all odds. There was a lot of action, suspense, drama, mystery throughout this book. Romance and passion between the couple was awesome. Excellent reading and writing as always.

I liked Jaime and Cassidy and that they meet because he is her professor. They both have danger following them, her because of her ex and him because of something he overheard. This book had suspense to go with the chemistry between these two.

Cassidy got a scholarship a the local college for broadcasting and broke it off with Ben her fiancé, he became deranged. Jamie was one of her professors and they fell for each other. People were trying to kill Jamie and problems with her ex. She go lost for a little bit but then everything turned out ok. Great book!

The second book in the Runaway Dragon Mates series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Dragon shifter Jaime and human Cassidy's story of suspense, drama, danger, a evil ex, and romance.
