Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.
This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.
The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.
You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.
Phoenix Rising Talk about a good hearted book. Cap is on a mission. The men need to come together again. After everything that has happened, the men of Reed Security need their strength again. They need to come together for one another and become what the once were. With most of the men injured, or out for the time being, the men need to rise above the flames and become who they once were if they're gonna make it out of this. They need to rebuild, and take back what was once theirs. This is a great story that brings the team and Reed families all back together.
Alec He's had a thing for Florrie for a long time. They've hid their relationship from everyone at Reed for a reason. They've seen what those men do and say. They've been there to witness the BS that spews from their mouths like word vomit. Florrie doesn't want to out their relationship. But when it happens, it's Craig who feels the brunt of it. He's on their team, and had no clue. Now that everything is out in the open, they have to fight for their relationship, and when a young boy holds Florrie up at knifepoint, they take him in, because he needs help. It takes everything they have to get this kid to open up, and when they actually find out who this kid is, Knight takes it upon himself to take care of certain situations, which only leads to bigger problems down the road.
Storm Not an OG of REED, but he's stuck like glue. He's been there helping Craig out, and Chance when things got rough. Now, he's in his own mess with Jessica. The woman after her family history when she buys the town insane asylum. With spirits, and past that will haunt just anyone, Jessica is determine to find out the past that got her mother and grandma locked up in such a place. Storm had one job, and that was to get her to sell her property to Reed, but he got way more than he bargained for with Jessica, and he just has to prove to her that he's there for her.
The first book gave insight on how Cap and the men of Reed Security had to pull back together after having to hide for a year. It also gave Chance and Morgan time to look at themselves and make decisions about their lives, The second book revolves around Alex and Florrie who are 2/3 of a team. Their dangerous jobs and how Alex reacts causes many problems along with Florrie’s incidents that they keep their relationship quiet. The third book brings in the supernatural, ghost and haunted. Storm doesn’t believe in any of that but is trying to help Jessica, who does. She is searching for the answers to both her grandmother and mother’s deaths in an asylum . With her large inheritance she has bought the asylum where her mother was sent and died from “suicide”. This property is one that Reed Security would like to have to help with their rebuilding. There are people who do not want the truth to come out. There are also some very strange, unexplainable things going on in the house. Storm has been “assigned” to befriend her and encourage her to sell it to Reed Security. Storm and Jessica find that they” might “ just have feelings for each other, even after a pretty bad start.
Great reads - books 16-18 I have read all of the books in this series, one after the other. I have laughed till my sides were sore and often cried too. The backstories are brilliantly thought out and explain why these alpha males and super-alpha females are together. With the addition of the children and the extended families and friends - the suspense is well done and it is so obvious there is never going to be a happy ending for anyone who seeks to take on Reed Security.
GLs writing is fab. She's thorough without being overly wordy. The characters are engaging and totally reel you in to loving them like the crazy family they are. These are people id be happy to call my Tribe. The humor, tho!🤣 thr spa scene, the hot tub and so on...I was sounded like a dying gopher laughing. The tension in some part is def elevated with her well place hysterics of the men and their banter and diatribes. Her series books are one that I wish wouldn't end.
Alot laughs with the Storm series but Jessica finally can be at piece with her life, fine happiness with Storm. Phoenix Rising was very strong book,I almost felt bad for Cap he had so much going on with the men and women and baby's trying to keep the business running its a wonder he didn't give up but he was strong! The Alec part of book was good ,strong.Well written.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series. These men are swoon worthy and wonderful. They are fierce protectors and total goofballs when it comes to women. I laughed so hard at the 3rd book in this set, that my family was asking me to read out loud. This was very entertaining and I can't wait to keep reading.
It was getting a little tense there for a minute - This series is kick was - it's not for wimps! I'd say 18+ just to be on the "safe" side. I truly have skipped some parts because I couldn't deal with it. On to the next box... Thank you for your time, talent AND THE STORIES!
Phoenix rising was beautifully written, all characters mentioned progressed the story naturally! Honestly I wasn't a Florrie fan I found her very self centered. But finishing off with Storm/ Thunders/ Nick was amazing. Because he'll feed you his carrot. . Lmao!!
This boxed set had more drama but it had a lot of funny interactions between the guys and the women that they love to hate. There was some very dramatic jobs they did that really had you mesmerized but each was well worth the read
With the previous ones being all action and romance the humour in this box set had me laughing out loud. A great addition to the series. Another man bites the dust😂 😘
