I really hope Hinase won't get a gender. Don't get me wrong I don't want them to die but I might get disappointed if having a gender is the only solution for them

And plz I want Shiori and Shirogane to be gay 🫶🏽

While I still wish the a-spec was acknowledged, I do feel the struggles of the gay dude with having allos completely ignore you as soon as they are in a relationship.

Literally. Like I kinda feel the struggle and wanna cry.

🇬🇧 Since I'm a cis-woman I don't wanna pretend that I fully understand Hinase's position. But I have to say that the emotions are conveyed really well in this series. But I understand the predicament Hinase is in and and the pressure it must be to make a life decision. Literally. Like I kinda feel the struggle and wanna cry.

Still can't stand the doctor.
Why did this seem like so much filler?
This manga excels at making me feel vaguely sad and lonely for some reason lol.

We find out that the genderless person in the photograph committed suicide, according to the police. They were found on a riverbank with no signs of struggle, peaceful like they were asleep. But the friend seems to think there must be more to it and is trying to find out the truth.

Shiori’s brother admits that he doesn’t think genderless adults exist; there are no genderless people over the age of 20. Hinase is the only genderless person in the world who is 18. They all seem to die in one way or another if they don’t choose a gender.

Hinase asks Shiori and Ritsu to come to the park so she can give them a proper answer. She tells them she likes both of them and can’t decide between them; it makes her feel like she is two-timing them. Since she knows they can’t all date each other (why not?), she knows she has to turn them both down. She tells them she wants to focus on discovering her gender identity, and then she can really tell them how she feels. She realizes they may have moved on by then, but this is the best she can do. After she tells them all that, she then makes them both set off fireworks with her.

Shirogane is still having to come to terms with his feelings for Kurokawa. He’s been waiting to hear from him about his relationship with Goshiki, and sadly she is the one who texts him to tell him they are now official. When Shiori asks him why he’s down, he isn’t exactly honest with him. Later they have another conversation, and honestly I couldn’t figure out if he told him the truth or not. Their conversation was confusing.

The doctors have a meeting where they decide to tell Hinase what they know about genderless people having lower life expectancies. When her doctor tells her, she says she will decide by the end of the year what gender she will choose and undergo treatments. That there are things she wants to try before she decides which gender she wants to be.

Just like Mona Lisa continues to make me confused. The parts of the series I like I like and the parts I don’t I really don’t. There are some really good points in here about gender identity as well as sexuality but at the same time there are some things that just rub me the wrong way. The continuous plot point of saying that a person that doesn’t choose a gender ends up dead at a young age. I just don’t like that. Some people live their entire lives not feeling female or male. Maybe I’m just over thinking this series as it’s mostly a mystery with a love triangle. I’ll continue reading as I am interested.

Giving up here. It never getd better on the gender stuff. The love triangle is boring.
How hurtful to make a genderqueer character and then make them have to pick a biological sex or they die
