Ava doesn't mind raising the dead. It's all a part of being a necromancer. And people keep telling he she's one of the strongest ones to ever live, but she doesn't believe it.
Except she can also heal people, living or dead, which is unheard of.
And now, her cat, Mr. Snoozerton, has brought home a girlfriend. A dead girlfriend. Snoozer wants Ava to animate the pretty feline, but is that really the right thing to do?
Ava doesn't have much of a choice. Snoozer isn't taking no for an answer. And he's pretty much the boss of the house.

I truly have come to love this quirky rag tag bunch of people that call each other family. This series continues to be so fun, original and just wonderful. I have loved every single book/story the author has put out and so far, have been able to count on getting a great well plotted out story or novella each time I pick it up. I can't wait for more!
A GIRLFRIEND FOR MR. SNOOZERTON is the sixth book in the Witching After Forty series. For maximum enjoyment, do not miss a story!
If you ever think your life is overwhelming, try being a necromancer who is now the high witch of her coven, has a child in college, and a houseful of ghouls, a reanimated skeleton, and a devil of a neighbor. One of those ghouls is her cat who insists his girlfriend should be the next ghoul. In the kitty’s defense, she is very pretty.
This may be listed as a novella to be read between main stories, but there is a lot of meat to this, and I recommend you do not miss it.
This is more than a little fluff (see what I did there) about the cats. It is cute, fun, and funny and absolutely loved reading the craziness that Ava and her friends get into. This is the kind of entertainment I look forward to reading when I want to unwind.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
Title: A GIRLFRIEND FOR MR. SNOOZERTON Series: Witching after Forty #2.7 Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Grammar/editing: received as an unedited ARC / errors excused Received from: L.A. Boruff
Weird is good, in my opinion, but resurrecting a dead cat to be your familiar's girlfriend is pushing it.
This is a side story in the "Witching After Forty" series and it works fine as a standalone. No prior reading required to enjoy this one.
This is a cozy witch mystery with an even heavier dose of humor than usual. That works for me! The story is well written and easy to read with some very unusual twists to it. The story moves at a good pace and has no problem keeping the reader's interest throughout. Overall, another fun adventure for our heroine and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
Highly recommended.

Ava Harper is both witch and necromancer so she really doesn't mind raising the dead. However, she also heals to the point where it's supposed to be impossible so maybe there's something to the story that she'll be the strongest necromancer. But, that doesn't matter right now because Mr Snoozerton has a dead girlfriend whom he wants Ava to raise and he's not taking no for an answer.
I've really enjoyed this series and this story is a great example of why. This was a quick and very enjoyable read that pulled me in from the start. This cute story kept me hooked and left me eager for more from the series. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order including the shorts in between the full length books.
Lia Davis & LA Robuff have released another small glimpse into the lives of The Witching After forty characters. This time it is all about Snooze.
I am loving this series. I highly recommend it. The characters are very good and interesting. The more I get to know them the further this series pulls me in. Each story is very good but put all together it is an amazing tale in a universe that could contain more stories. Only time will tell.
Ava is back with more of a story about her cats. Mr. Snoozerton gets a girlfriend. Ava & Olivia go snooping and get a gift for it and the gang finds out how old Larry was when he died.
Witching After Forty is such a fun series, and Mr Snoozerton the long lived zombie cat is coming into his own, don't be fooled by the title this book is not just about him all the WAF's are here. It seems Ava still has a lot to learn, and snoozerton is only to happy to help.
Don't be thinking this is just a fun little 5 chapter novella romp between books, this moves the plot forward ready for the next full size entry to the series. It's a fun sized nugget of wit and necromancy with Ava and her ghoulish household.
Don't miss out, be sure to read the series in its entirety to get the best out of it.
Ava Harper has alot going on right now: she's High Witch of her coven, there's ghouls, reanimated skeletons, a mostly-alive tiger shifter, Lucifer-call-me-Luci living next door, and now her cat, Mr. Snoozerton has brought her a deceased feline he wants her to reanimate... Apparently the pretty kitty is his new girlfriend. Hey, no problem!! All in a days work for a witchy necromancer.
Cute novelette in the Witching After Forty series. Lots of fun and laughter and interesting characters.
I received an advance copy of this book from the author via Bookfunnel. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor. Also read in KU.
“A Girlfriend for Mr. Snoozerton” is another short (44 pages) novella in the Witching After Forty’s series. This time, Ava and her BFF, Olivia are looking for her cat, Snoozy. They look everywhere including Lucifer’s aka Luci’s house. Once they find him he demand they follow him where they discover that his girlfriend has been hit by a car and is dead. Of course Snoozy wants Ava to resurrect her and they soon figure out why he is so enamored with her: she is demanding as he is. To make matters even more comical, Larry the skeleton has a request of his own and it will gives Zoey an eyeful. An eyeful of what you ask? Well, you have to read this little diddy to find out.
As much as Luci should be scary, let's be honest, and admit he's a fallen angel. He was never evil just an errant child wanting fun and adventure away from his father. He basically was grounded to Hell, so he had to work off his punishment. Yes, Luci is still a child wanting fun and adventure. I say let him stay and have his fun. He's already got Daddy Issues, and if he's to be punished again, that's what Daddy is for.
As far as Ava goes, she is collecting undead things like a rare collector collects rare stamps. About 1 every few months! Lol! Well, Snooze... happy ending for you?
These last two books have been lame. They have gotten more repetitive and more inconsistent. Olivia gets to the house and is asked where Sam is. He is at firearms training. Right after, be shows up with Drew. Wallis arrives from school. It was an unplanned trip. His girlfriend needs to study, and he's a distraction. Within a couple of lines, mom asks why he's come so early. The relative parts include getting descriptions of all the wacky creatures living at the house more than once per book. Alfred is described almost every time he is brought up.
As a teenager Ava brought Mr Snoozerton back to life. Ava "...was starting to believe the rumors that I was the most powerful necromancer alive.... ".
Now Mr Snoozerton wants Ava to bring his girlfriend back to life. Should Ava do it? After all, her "...fat, immortal Maine Coone cat, Mr. Snoozerton, ...means business... ".
As Olivia said "... “That puts us in our place.”...". This enticing novella was a delight to read and just gave us more information about Ava and her crew.

I’m loving this Witching After Forty series and these two authors are just brilliant. Ava’s house is getting even crazier and now she has adopted 18 year old Zoey as a daughter she’s a tiger shifter who has trouble changing back to fully human, Zoey had died in the fights and Ava accidentally brought her back so yes it is crazy especially with Lucifer living next door. I will let you find out about Mr Snoozerton yourself, I loved this story and all of the craziness that is Ava’s house it’s an amazing story/ series and I definitely recommend this book.
These novellas are just perfect for moving the story forward while being entertaining as well. So we learn that Ava has some pretty cool and strong powers. She is such a warm character and her humility is incredible endearing as are her maternal instincts for all of her charges. These novellas are the perfect length and boy are they cliff hangers. I do have a theory about our zombie Alfred and why he won't let Ava cut his mouth string... Looking forward to the next installment, I am sure that something is going to go screwy while Ava is taking care of the sale of her house in Pennsylvania.
A Girlfriend for Mr. Snoozerton: A Life After Magic Mystery is book 5 in the Witching After Forty series by Lia Davis and L.A. Boruff.
This is the first book I’ve read in this series. There are a lot of characters in this novella, so not much time to remember who is who. But it was very entertaining and now I have a lot of catching up to do. There is an interesting array of characters including neighbor, Lucifer. I look forward to more of them!
I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
In all fairness I was a little lost with the overall concept of the story but partially because I have not read any of the earlier stories in this series. But it was well written and some great humorous moments and characters. A very quick read but still entertaining, and possibly made better if having read from the start of the series.

va is still getting use to her magic. She is getting ready to go home to deal with her home. Ava is trying to help Zoey with her shifting. Ava notices the no one can find Snoozerton. He comes out to find them, he needs Ava helps. Ava makes a discovery about her magic as well.
This was a fun story that moves the story along with the other characters. I can't wait for the next book

Ava's cat, Mr. Snoozerton, has found a girlfriend for himself, a white cat named Lucy-Fur. The only possible problem is that she is dead. Ava doesn't mind raising the dead because he is a necromancer.
But another potential issue is that Ava can also heal people, living or dead, which hasn’t been done before. With Mr. Snoozerton’s girlfriend, Snoozer is asking that Ava animates the pretty feline, and saying no to Snoozer doesn’t work. So what will happen now?
This short story in this series is completely hilarious... I love this series and this tidbit didn't disappoint...Mr.Snoozers girlfriend Lucy-fur talking after Ava revived and cured her is just the cherry on top of everything else that happens in such a wonderful short read. I am eagerly waiting for the next book to read about what's going to happen in Philly...I just love it, plain and simple.

I loved this story, for a short read it had so much in it. The story had great pacing and kept you engaged. One of my favorite parts was Luci’s house, it definitely was not what I expected. I personally enjoyed the mystery of where Snoozerton went, as well as what he wanted. What she did for Larry was amazing, her power is definitely growing. As usual it offered a lot of fun and laughter. I highly recommend this book, it is definitely worth reading.
Ava and the gang are back in this short story. Mr Snoozerton is in love the only problem is she is dead. But he know just the necromancer to help. This is a delightful story. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

This is a short in between story that takes place in the Witching After Forty world. Mr. Snoozerton is Ava’s grumpy manx cat who is also a zombie or a ghoul, its up for debate. In this story we along with Ava discover her growing skills and powers. Her household is growing as well. This is a sassy and silly tale and I can’t wait for more.
I tell you this series just keeps getting better and better. I absolutely enjoyed this novella with all the laugh out loud moments and the little twists and trun my only complaint was I wanted it to be longer. Can't wait to see what else is in store for this series. As always my review are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Part of the Witching After Forty series a well written very short story that kept me turning pages. So much is going to happen in Ava' and the gangs life in this story. Mr. Snoozerton gets a girlfriend, but who is she? People change, there is going to be things unveiled. A story that was well worth reading. Ava's cat Mr. Snoozerton has found himself a girlfriend named Lucy-Fur, one problem she's dead. The writing is great, the characters are quirky and the story is filled with humor, cat drama, and so much more in this entertaining addition to the Witching After Forty series. I am loving this series with all the quirky characters and fun storylines. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
An amusing, but entertaining short, set in the witching after forty world. When Mr. Snoozerton asks Ava to raise his girlfriend, she doesn’t know what she is in for...
This is set just before book three, but some pretty important things occur in it, and it should be read as part of the series.
I really enjoyed the story but it could have been longer! I know, I know it is a novella but I would have loved to read about Lucifer's home... Maybe in another book will we learn more about his home Sounds like Ava's powers are getting stronger Looking forward to the next book in the series
I love these little short stories in the ever Growing world of Ava life. Its great insight into her new family of friends and misfits. I love her talking cats, ghoul and not so skeleton anymore. I can't wait to see what happens with her and Drew the Sheriff. On to the next book
This was light and silly and fluffy. I quite liked that most of this story was about Ava’s mysterious and ever-growing powers. It appears that she has more abilities than even she, or anyone who knows the prophecy of the Howe necromancers, was guessing at. It also introduces some new complications into Ava’s life and I’m very curious to see what effect they’ll have.
