Only a Chaosbane Christmas Special would arrive in April!
I've either made the greatest or worst decision of my life: to travel to the Chaosbane Family Ranch to celebrate Yuletide. One of the many fellow festivalgoers accompanying me is arguably the Chaosbane's craziest family member, Leah. There's no telling what kind of crazy antics we'll end up in, but I hope that at least one of them will lead to learning more spells.
A Complete Divergence So the story takes a twist, completely diverging from the school for war mages who will fight in arenas to entertain crowds with non-fatal dueling thread, before its really even gotten going.
Justin and his crew are invited to the Chaosbane ranch for the holidays. There are many vinettes of holiday celebrations and traditions, all with amusing, fun magical modifications, and in some cases invented whole cloth.
Several new Chaosbanes are introduced, including the family patriarch Great Granddaddy Gorlbadock and Aunt Ruth(less), who takes more than a liking to Justin. Its the zany extended family most people wish they had.
Pegasus rides, magical winter camping, using the Klaus family sleigh to get to the family compound, all very fun.
The primary plot movement is Justin and Leah Chaosbane invading the queens castle in search of three magical artifacts which combined will unlock 4 more spell slots for Justin in his spell book. Each has some puzzle solving, physical challenging and in some cases combat to achieve, ranging from near-impossible to almost trivial. They are all completed in a single day.
This stage of the story ends with the Chaosbanes starting to feel the pressure from the councils agents, and a decision to take off along with a great number of followers brought to the cause, to find a safe haven in the ethereal realm. All of Justins crew, including the frat are all reunited before departure.
This book was so much fun. Between the increadable adventures and great sex with a number of his female friends, it was an enjoyable storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
Our Creation Mage, Justin, is going to his school headmaster grand fathers ranch, with all his family, to have a chaos holiday. All of his girl friends and frat brothers are going on their own holidays time from school. At the ranch, the holiday is just over the top, in chaos. You just have to see... The only way for Justin to be able to increase this magic pool is to find 3 relics. Suprise, in the Queens Castle, that they can't get into. Oh ya, there's a dragon too. (Ha ha).
I didn’t expect this book to encompass the whole holiday at the chaosbane ranch 😂. Boy, what a Yuletide treat we got in this book, eh lads? I couldn’t stop laughing at the antics and zingers that was tossed about in this book. King was on a roll with the humor. Justin was doing his thing and Leah, boy she’s something special 😍😈. I can’t wait for Mallory to get into the mix, Aunt Ruth….what a woman 🤤, I bet she was a wonder back in the day and Gertrude just had me laughing. This book was simply great. One thing though I wish was explained…. The croc at the Underbelly….under his 🎩 im dying to know the story behind that!! Time for the next book lads! Forward!!
Festive time with the chaosbanes! Spending a week with this bunch of molty crew was always going to be ...well.... Nuts. Dante Kings, really did nail this one, he never change the chars and you give to live the lifes of this nut job of a family and while meeting other family members, a family that should never really be able to work together (never mind function on their own) but manage to in a chaotic way. The author nailed the humerus chars very ways and left myself, lmfao many times. Probably his most funniest of the series to date.
This book is so damn funny. It picks up right where the last one left off with Justin being invited to the Chaosbane family ranch for Yuletide. What a wild ride. Mr. Mauler is funny and has some excellent quips. Each and every member of the Chaosbane family is great. Every single one of them made me lol at some point. There is a lot of action and also some steamy parts. I’m looking forward to the next book.
This book is full of chaos. Then again what would expect from a series on magic with this volume being dedicated to the chaosbane clan at Christmas time. I have to say, I think Dante King has outdone himself with this addition to the creation mage series. I'm not sure if he can top it, but I hope he gives it a red hot go. I had tears of laughter multiple times from the escapades and high jinx that and found within this time. Read it now!
This is a book that I will be reading again this Christmas. The spirit of the thing as quite boisterous and I enjoyed my first Chaosbane Yuletide as thoroughly as though a had actually been there. Justin has quickly become one of my favorite characters. It makes my giddy every time I see a new book is released to continue his adventures. I happily look forward to book 7.
I love this series, for all the magic, chaos and absurdity written to make one laugh! And a Chaosbane Yuletide is the perfect place to let the chaos reign free.
Full of awesome characters, hilarious antics and brilliant writing, I can't wait for more!
If the above doesn't let you in on the hilarity, adventure and mischief of this book you're either not paying attention, haven't started this series or have no sense of humor, well maybe not the last one! This was an excellent read with crisp dialogue, action, adventure both out of and between the sheets! Anxiously awaiting the next installment.
I really like this series it has a lot of tongue and cheek humor and a lot of good word play. Has lots of action and I like the way the characters interact with each other always have a lot of fun and entertainment when I read this particular series. I sure hope the next book comes soon but you know we'll have to wait and see.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Justin spends his holiday trying to increase his spell slots, when things take a dangerous turn. The story and characters were intriguing and engaging. I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures. This book is definitely worth reading.
The characters are distinct, the story is fun, the snark and humor are fantastic. And the naughtiness is wonderful!! A very enjoyable in all his series!
Like the other books in the Creation Mage series. This book was a fun and exciting read. That was highly entertaining. I'm really looking forward to book 7 in this series.
The interactions of the characters are awesome. The fun and joy they have and exude wash over the reader like a tsunami. Fascinating dialogue between the characters keeps things interesting and moving forward in unpredictable ways. Bring on Book 7!
This series just keeps getting better. The action, the character progression is great. This had better be a very long series because I just can't get enough.
