His most recent novel, Union Made, explores what union organizing means for the workplace, the economy and maybe even the organizer’s love life.
They sold this as rom-com with a twist. I wouldn’t go rom-com. The strike chapters are really truthful to life. The corporate espionage and insider trading were the most interesting. Nate is a character you want to sympathize with, but he causes what happens to him so you can’t feel that bad. Slow start but it zooms later. Good pacing. Would you believe there is a typo on the last page! Its forgivable because I was into this for all the rest of the story.
