Welcome to the greatest de Wolfe Pack generation!

William “Will” de Wolfe has the weight of the entire de Wolfe empire weighing on him. Perfection is key. Living up to the grandfather he was named for has been something he’s had to deal with his entire life. But Will is strong, noble, true, and powerful… everything a man named William de Wolfe should be.

Except he’s living through a personal tragedy no man should have to live through.

Will was very young when he married his wife, Lily de Lohr. As the great-granddaughter of Christopher de Lohr, the marriage forever linked the Houses of de Wolfe and de Lohr. The children born of the marriage are considered to have some of the finest bloodlines in England. But tragedy strikes when pregnant Lily is diagnosed with a terminal illness.

And she wants to pick her husband’s next wife.

More than that, she wants him to fall in love with her.

When his dying wife plays matchmaker, how successful can the relationship be between Will and Adria de Geld, the daughter of a de Lohr ally? Lily is determined that Adria should replace her in Will’s heart and in his bed, something Adria is reluctant to do but she cannot help but feel the attraction to the handsome, tortured knight. She soon finds out that his torment is not only because of his dying wife, but because of a terrible secret that Lily hides. Will only found out by accident and it is that, more than anything, tearing him to pieces.

A terrible secret that could tear apart two of England’s greatest families.

Can Adria and Will’s love take flight in spite of the dire circumstances? Or will Will’s torment overshadow a truly gifted, intelligent, and beautiful woman who has managed to fall in love with him?

💋💋

Oh my, Kathryn keeps doing this to me.
Grandson’s of The Wolfe, men of strength and honour, alpha males with armour and passion.
Is it hot in here or is it me. Phew*

Will’s marriage to Lily is a typical arrangement, friends turned lovers, but is it only duty that ties them?
She’s quite a character is Lily, stubborn and I would venture to say highly strung, maybe a little childish too.

Will is strong, another stubborn one, he’s duty orientated, and never looks at another woman, his marriage vows to Lily mean he’s hers for life.

Then we come to Adria, she’s a beautiful creature, a well spoken lady who has been Lilies companion for years, and she’s devoted to her completely.

There is much in this book that makes this so enjoyable to read:
.Lilly trying to chose the next wife for Will.
.The secrets that are being kept, and they are all big ones and could be catastrophic.
.The affection that grows so quickly between Will and Adria.
.Adria’s father’s input
.The roles of Will’s father and Grandmother
.The arrival of Lilly Father.

I could go on, safe to say this is a wonderful book by Kathryn that I loved and would gladly read again.
Twist and turns everywhere and some excellent characters and addictive writing.
It was so nice to see Jordan back in fine form defending her family.
Definitely a recommended read.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

It took me longer to settle into this book than normal. Not sure why maybe it’s as simple as it’s been awhile since I read one of these and I had to get my focus.

The prologue features Wills parents Scott and Athena. It then moves forward to Carlisle Castle 1293 A.D. and Wills youngest Atticus is six years old.

Will and his wife Lily were pushed into marriage by her ambitious father Christopher de Lohr. He was set on his daughter marrying a de Wolfe. And they have to live with the consequences of his decision.

I’m not going to spoil the book I’ll just say it’s a very emotional read. It’s sad yet beautiful and as always when children are present it’s humorous as well. Atticus is adorable in an exhausting way. We also have Gar but the less said on him the better.

While it took me sometime to get into this book. Once in I was hooked and struggled to put it down.

Now I’m just waiting for the next one.

I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley.

The de Wolfe and de Lohr dynasties and their connection are at serious risk in this complex and emotional tale. William "Will" de Wolfe, grandson to the most famous knight in the Kingdom William de Wolfe ("The Wolfe") first experienced tragedy as a young teen and it seems to have followed him his entire life. Lily de Lohr de Wolfe is his current wife. Lily's father, Chris de Lohr (a descendant of the much loved Christopher de Lohr, the "Lion's Claw" from "Rise of the Defender") is hell bent on merging the de Lohr dynasty with the de Wolfe dynasty and, before either of them are even aware, Will and Lily are married at a very young age. This was not a love match, nor did it ever become one.

Adria de Geld, the daughter of a de Lohr ally, has been faithfully serving her best friend from childhood, Lily, as her lady-in-waiting. Adria is very much devoted to Lily, but has always recognized the fact that, although there is respect and friendship in her friend's marriage, there has never really been true love. But, it doesn't stop her from supporting and devoting herself to her friend. When Lily is diagnosed with a fatal condition, the unthinkable occurs. Lily asks her best friend to marry Will. While it appears it is an altruistic on her part, all is not as it seems. What unfolds is emotional, tense and tragic. It is truly complex, heartbreaking and an outstanding read.

On a side note, it is always a joy to me to visit with the great (and my all time favorite) William de Wolfe (the patriarch from "The Wolfe), his spitfire wife Jordan, Jemma Hage, the late Kieran Hage's wife and Jordan's cousin, Paris de Norville, William de Wolfe's only surviving best friend from "The Wolfe" and Scott de Wolfe, Will's father from "ShadowWolfe." Also of note, is a very young Atticus de Wolfe from another five-star read, "The Lion of the North." Goodness, he was a veritable brat as a child! But, what a great man he turned out to be!

It is another fabulous story and book by the very talented Kathryn Le Veque!

Heart-breaking and yet victorious, this novel has plots and subplots running through it, but as the ends are eventually caught up and tied together, a wonderful romance emerges. Married to Lily de Lohr, Will de Wolfe knew from the beginning that his wife did not love him, but settled for friendship instead. Whilst always friendly and respectful towards one another, it is only as Lily's pregnancy develops complications that the deeper truths of their marriage emerge. Knowing that she has an awful choice to make, Lily is determined to ensure that after she has gone that Will and her children will be well taken care of. Persuading Adria to marry Will after her death proves to be more difficult than she could have anticipated. Having lived through an unfulfilling marriage, Will realizes that Lily's request has merit. He is, however, taken by surprise when he discovers that Adria takes his part and defends his rights. For the first time, a woman of worth is willing to stand up for his honor and he finds his heart becoming involved. Will is even more shocked to realize that Adria is willing to sacrifice herself for his family and it is no small hardship to come to her defense. In some ways, this is a sad story of lies and betrayal, and yet it comes to a beautiful conclusion. I received a copy of this romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

From the moment I read the blurb for this book I knew I wanted to read it. I love the entire de Wolfe clan, I have read all de Wolfe books, and I've ever been disappointed. WolfeLord had a lot of hype to live up to and I am so glad that it did.

WolfeLord had everything: secrets, love, loss, passion, anger, companion, and I could keep going. It wrought every emotion you could feel in a book and I felt completely wrung out when I finished reading it.

Will is perfect; he's strong, compassionate, sexy, brave, yet allows his emotions to be seen by a select few. Our heroine isn't his wife which is weird, but actually the woman his dying wife chooses for him to love. When secrets come to light and Lady de Wolfe dies, will a new love be able to survive the pain that arises?

This book could have easily fell short but the writing of Kathryn Le Veque stayed true and a fantastic story was born. I don't think I can recommend this book enough, it truly has it all. I have read all of Kathryn's books and WolfeLord easily makes it into the top three, maybe only coming in after Will's grandfather's story, The Wolfe! To say I loved this story is an understatement of epic proportions.

I just reviewed WolfeLord by Kathryn Le Veque. #WolfeLord #NetGalley

Unique drama fuels this complex romance!

What an amazing book! This story is unlike anything I've ever read before. Themes of honor, loyalty, and love are explored in a series of surprising twists that make our hero seem both magnanimous and selfish at the same time. We want to hate the characters that appear to be acting immorally, only to see them from a different perspective that makes them entirely sympathetic.

There is a villain in this story, but it's not who you think it should be. Still, there's plenty of suspense and heartbreaking developments to keep the story intriguing and completely unputdownable. The developing romance is, by necessity, a slow-burn that is forced to take a back seat for the first half of the story, but it quickly turns into a passionate love affair as soon as it's let loose. The story showcases several kinds of love which, understood at its core, brought out Will and Adria's honor and integrity rather than the expected anger and animosity.

Every visit to this author's world is unique and captivating, but this one takes the idea of arranged marriages to a whole new level. The HEA was both heartbreaking and triumphant at the same time. If you enjoy historical romances of any kind, you cannot miss this fascinating story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Let me just start off by saying that I love this book even though it is not your typical happily ever after or even typical for Le Veque. Will and Lily are already married at the start of the book for one and the book has many twists and turns along with the appearance of familiar House of De Wolfe characters. I loved hearing more about Kieran, William, Jordan, Paris, and Jemma as they raised their families and guide the next generation through their trials. This is a wonderful culmination of two major houses in Le Veque world and the storyline is unexpected. I loved seeing Jordan's fierceness come out but I only gave it four stars since I missed some of the sizzle and passion in this one.

Enjoyed the story line but the writing did not flow well. This book could use a proof reader/editor.

Being a huge fan of this family and of course the author, this was an exceptional read. If you haven't read KLV books, stay with this one please. A lot of character's in the beginning and you may feel overwhelmed, but it will all become clear.

I pre-ordered without reading the blurb because of the author. Then when I read the blurb I was unsure I wanted to read it. It was hard to imagine a wife picking out her husband's next wife. Oh ye of little faith! How this story unfolds not everything is as it seems and it made all my misgivings disappear. I rarely cry reading a book, but I did in this one!

It was nice to have more background on Scott's first wife. I never felt a real connection when Scott's life was turned upside down because you didn't have much background on Athena. This story filled in her personality and was emotional to see their love in the beginning.

No big battles, but so much turmoil, suspense, twists that I didn't see at all , made for a delightful read. This author knows how to write character's! To say they are written with such depth is an understatement! Warmed my big Polish heart reading about so many memorable character's from stories past.

You have a known villain and some dishonorable character's. The dialogue between our h and everyone kept me engaged with her forthrightness. The H was beyond honorable in so many ways. He truly follows the teachings of his family.

Lovemaking within marriage, heat level 2.5 out of 5 if that. You will feel a connection to this couple so filled with love.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romantic and a tad of spice. This deserves more than 5 stars! (ljb)

Wolfelord by Kathryn le Veque is a medieval romance and yet so different than most of them. This story is Will's story; Will is the first child of Scott de Wolfe, and grandson of the great William de Wolfe. He is married to Lily de Lohr the granddaughter of the great Christopher de Lohr. It was not mean to be a marriage of convenience, or a political marriage, but that is what it ahs become. After the first flush of attraction, there had been nothing. Oh, they were good friends, but they married too young and too soon. Now she was pregnant with his fourth child. He only went to her bed on the rare occasion that he was invited and it ended up with a pregnancy. She had fallen in some mud several weeks back so he sent the physician to see her, despite her protests that she was fine. In the physician's opinion she was not; she was dying, as was the child unless it was cut out of her, resulting her in death. Either way she was dying. Will was aghast and immediately sent for his father, who was a renowned healer. He also sent word to Lily's family. Adria was Lily's lady-in-waiting and friend. She stayed at her side as everyone dealt with the situation.

This story was somewhat different than most of le Veque's. It opened with the story of Scott and Athena revealing to William that they wanted to marry, indeed, must marry, as Athena was with child (Will). Paris de Norville, a family friend, was Athena's father and needed to be told, but that was a challenge. We have read Scott's story earlier but this was a wonderful lead-in. Will de Wolfe is easily the most generous and understanding man who ever lived. His ego was solid and he did not make things into sleights easily. He is an endearing character and for whom the reader will hold much affection. Lily is basically a good person who loves her family and does the best she can. It was a dreadfully sad story all the way around, but when Lily tells Will she wants to choose his next wife, she may be going a little too far, although she chose well. It was really quite a wonderful story, with grandmother Jordan playing major role. I recommend it.

I was invited to read a free e-ARC of WolfeLord by Dragonblade, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #netgalley #dragonblade #wolfelord

**Spoilers**

This book was highly anticipated and I was intrigued by a story featuring a de Wolfe/de Lohr alliance by marriage. I loved this book and was definitely surprised by the portrayal of Lily and Chris de Lohr, or perhaps by their characters in general. It definitely solidified further my love for all things de Wolfe! Will has the weight of an empire on his shoulders and the way he bears that weight is nothing short of martyrdom. He knows, he accepts and for all he has he is grateful and would never destroy what is his legacy to carry on.
This book pushes the level of honor and compassion to another level, and while Im not surprised to find a de Wolfe could rise to the challenge, I was at first taken back by the spoiled persona that was Lily. Probably because I always picture the big families and their allies honorable and without reproach. However this book reminds us that duty comes above all!! Adria our heroin is a delight, her devotion and loyalty to her lady were commendable and make you want her to be with our hero. The story is heartbreaking in ways Ive not seen written, so it was refreshing that the story was new and not a varied version of a HEA that we have seen many time. It took a different road and it was a journey for sure.
My only negative for this entire story was that we did not get more H/H time. It jumps from the crux of the story to the epilogue, and as I was reading I was highly anticipating what they would be, and we get it in a quick cap at the end. One of the things I find fascinating about the de Wolfe grandsons is their tattoo, Will's is not mentioned and as the oldest and heir to the entire empire, I felt that was missing.
Seeing Scott de Wolfe as a father to his son so many years after his story, was a treat!!! They bond and share some things that only Scott could help with. And my tears came with the ring. What an incredible tribute and nod to such a big piece of Scott and Wills story! Seeing all the de Wolfe/Hage/de Norville's is always fun!! They never disappoint with fun, love and wisdom.
This story was a treat and Will is just the epitome of why the de Wolfe are the greatest of all time!!!

WolfeLord is fairly atypical for a historical romance: Most notably, the hero is faithfully married--not to the heroine--for a majority of the book. It's not a spoiler to reveal that Will's wife Lily knows she is dying and is therefore the one to push her husband and Adria together; the book's blurb spells that out. The story focuses more on events that have led to Lily's condition and on exploring the lengths that people will go for love and honor.

Will and Adria's tentative exploration of their feelings for each other are tender rather than passionate while Lily still lives. That is, if you're worried that Will behaves dishonorably in spite of his wife's approval, I can assure you that you have nothing to fear. As for Lily, we learn things about her that help us not grieve for her a much as the blurb suggests we will. Everyone is remarkably compassionate in this book, perhaps somewhat to a fault, but maybe that says more about me than anything else.

The book is a fast and interesting read, though I'm not entirely sure why. It almost feels more like a vignette, coasting over the prolific de Wolfe family and slowing down just enough for us to see how grandson Will (William > Scott > Will) eventually finds love and happiness. The romance-novel aficionada in me wishes that the book had less Lily and more of Will and Adria's courting, yet the story flows beautifully as it is written.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. Thanks!

Will de Wolfe son of the legendary William de Wolfe married Lily de Lohr when they were very young bringing together two of the greatest houses of all time. Being married for many years has seen them being more of friends than lovers. When something goes terribly wrong with the pregnancy Lily makes a request of her husband and her best friend. When she dies she wants them to marry and fall in love.

Adria is devastated by the news that Lily will not survive her pregnancy, but is even more shocked at her friends request. She has never looked upon Will de Wolfe as anything other than her friends husband and doesn’t know if she can grant her dying wish. Will has known Adria for years and has never really looked at Adria, but the seed has been planted and maybe he can have something he never had a woman that loves him.

This story was absolutely wonderful. I think I went through every emotion there was. It brought me to tears, it made me laugh. I loved seeing all my favorite Knights together! There is nothing better than the de Wolfe stories to read and this was one of the best! Don’t miss it!

Will de Wolfe has the weight of a dynasty on his shoulders. As the eldest grandson and namesake of a very powerful warrior he must protect his family honour at all costs. His wife is going to die and there are several things she wants settled before she does.  One of them is to make her husband marry her friend.

Adria de Geld has been with Lady Lily since before her marriage.  She thought she knew everything about her.  What will happen in the next few weeks will prove that wasn't true.

Both our hero and heroine are loyal and loving people that will sacrifice themselves for others.

You will definitely need a box of tissues handy with this story.  Our talented author knows just how to wring every emotion from us.  Giggles as we imagine the pranks of the old guard and tears at the unfolding tragedy.  If you need a refresher on the family history, it's in the author's notes at the front of the book.

I'm very sure you will enjoy this wonderful addition to the "de Wolfe Pack Generation"

I loved every page.

Kleenex, boxing gloves, laughter, and romance is what you are going to need and find in this book! I am a sap for a love story, but this book gives you more than a love story it gives you a reason to believe there is someone out there for everyone! My daughter told me she watches a TV channel to get her fix for funny, romance, and everything else in between. I told her about this book and said why waste it on something like that when you can read historical Romance books. Once I told her they were in Audible we may have a new convert!

This book is about the grandson of none other than the Wolfe! Will is married to Lilly who is the daughter of another great, Christopher de Lohr. She is pregnant and discovers that she is going to die and she wants to pick his next wife. Of course, there is always secrets going on behind the scenes!

I could not put down this book! I was immersed into so deeply and I am thankful that there are such awesome writers like Kathryn Le Veque!

I received a advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

Kathryn Le Veque's books have always been favorites of mine! This new one of the generations, will be yet another. I will tell you that you won't be able to read this one with out having your tissues near by. You'll laugh and you'll cry, but there are lessons to be learned from this one! (No, I'm not telling you about them! It would spoil the book for you. I'm sure you will figure them out by the end. Kathryn's books are always so special to me!They always transport me to a time of great Warriors, Knights, Beautiful strong women, and turmoil - chaos or war. I read and re-read her books & the audiobooks as well. I know I can always turn to one of Kathryn Le Veque's novels, be they Contemporary or Medieval and lose myself to another time and place! Always excellent and easy to recommend! ❤

Another Wow!

WolfeLord, book 5 of Kathryn LeVeque’s de Wolfe Pack Generations is a story that as I was reading it left me absolutely speechless. It is so not your typical story, but a romance nonetheless! The story of the oldest of William de Wolfe’s grandchildren, son of Scott and heir to the de Wolfe empire, and his wife Lily de Lohr. When Lily is given a fatal diagnosis, she is determined that she find a wife for Will! Someone to love and care for him in a way he deserves, and for the children she leaves behind. And she believes that Adria de Gent, her friend and lady in waiting, is the perfect woman. The story is beautifully written, emotional and heart- wrenching. It tests the bonds of friendship and family alliances, but gives you everything you want and expect from a Kathryn LeVeque romance. Amazing!!!

William de Wolfe (Will) and Lily de Lohr de Wolfe have been married for ten years. A marriage of convenience, Will has respected and been faithful to his wife. Lily is dying from complications from her pregnancy. Her last request is for Will to marry Adria, her lady-in-waiting. Will has never looked at Adria with anything other than friendship, but the more he thinks about it the more he sees the possibility. Adria's dishonorable father will go to any lengths to get his hands on money. The last thing she wants is for him to know about a marriage between her and Will. Then there is the shocking secret that could destroy the bond of families. I must say there isn't a lot of sunshine in this book, but this is not the only book by Kathryn Le Veque that is. If you take the dark and mix in some light (Atticus' antics) you have an excellent read. When Atticus grows up, he will be one heck of a warrior!

William “Will” de Wolfe’s wife Lily is dying and she has one request of him. Lily knows their marriage is based on friendship and trust. They went from friendship to lovers, but, not the love of a lifetime, his soulmate. She wants to pick out his next wife, someone to love him and for Will to give his heart to and love in return. Can a hardened warrior expect to fall in love with Adria de Geld, the daughter of a de Lohr ally Lily’s lady-in-waiting. What an emotional story as we see Will struggling with Lily’s illness and her death, his struggle to live again and find the love they both deserve. I have voluntarily read and reviewed the great book that has a story so intricately woven with history and romance as Kathryn le Veque takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Carlisle Castle 1293 AD

In reading the blurb, I knew this was going to be an emotional story. I have teared up over many a KLV book and this was no exception!

The prologue of the story of Will's parents and how they got married, led right into an unexpected tale of a their son, Will's union, that had fallen into a marriage of convenience and not love. Although it may not have been love for him, how could a woman not love a de Wolfe? Simply unbelievable!

Full of angst, heartbreak, secrets, a villian in the mist and a very unexpected journey for love to be found. A story that will go on my must read again shelf, with me dreaming of Will de Wolfe and looking forward to the next in this series. Perfect.

Medieval romance at it's finest!!

If you read one book from Ms. Le Veque, you will be hooked! Her style of writing will draw you into the story as if you, too, are one of the main characters. This book is no different. Will de Wolfe is a true and honorable gentleman who seem to always put others before himself. As the plot progresses, each character is developed in such a way that they not only compliment each other, but Ms. Le Veque re-
introduces previous characters from other novels , many of them relatives of this story, tying the story's ancestral lineage. Chivalry certainly is alive and thriving in this book. Women were treated during these times much, much different! Would I recommend it?????... Without a doubt. Enjoy!!!

Any time I read a book written by Kathryn Le Veque, I know that I will be needing some tissues....this time I almost needed a full box!! There was some very sad scenes that had me sobbing, my heart ached so much for these characters. This was not a typical storyline, though, and I did have a bit of trouble getting into the story at the start due to so many characters being talked about!!

Through most of the story, Will is married to Lily so he doesn't have much interaction with the heroine of the story, Adria, until about 3/4 of the story. They've known each other for years but he's always just known her as his wife's maid. There's just no sizzling passion between them until the very end. The many twists and turns kept my interest and the ending was very satisfying!!

Honor and selflessness.

Will de Wolfe is heir to Scot de Wolfe who is heir to the great William De Wolfe. Will was pressured to marry Lily de Lohr by her father Chris who wanted the best for his daughter. A de Wolfe and de Lohr alliance. Unfortunately for Will and Lily it was not a love match. But Will is a man of honor above all else and did his duty. Adria is the lady-in-waiting to Lily and her best friend. When things for the pregnant Lily turn life threatening, secrets are revealed that change everything for everyone involved. Heartbreaking story on a few levels. I had difficulty liking Lily so I just didn’t try. But Will, a more honorable and selfless man you will never meet.

At last ...Love

First, let me say I love to read anything KLV writes and I do read anything she writes. This story is her traditional happily ever after but it does go thru some very sad and troubling events. The more you read the more you will love Will de Wolfe. You also enjoy some wonderful moments with some of the connected elder characters in the KLV world. Jordan and William plus Paris and others are part of the story and add a lot of depth and emotion. Kathryn writes the emotional so well that you feel it ..the happiness and the sorrow so be prepared to have some tissues handy. So hurry and read this latest Dr Wolfe installment.

This was a wonderful story; very emotional for me because I know all the secondary characters and some of the nuances between the families. The grandson of the great William de Wolfe showed his strength in a different, unexpected way. I loved chapter 14!! I can never read too much about Jordan - I just love her character! And chapter 17? When Scott went head-to-head with Chris I was never so shocked! But I loved that Scott stood up for Will. I will say I am disappointed about the editing; I found many typos and at least 2 plot errors. I love KLV's novels so I'm willing to overlook, but new readers may not be so forgiving.

The Wolfelord by Kathryn LeVeque is Historical Fiction at its best. This story is full of the time period so real and vibrant that I felt it. I loved the romance and the honest emotion that filled this novel. The characters were so strongly developed and interesting with a truthful storyline that I just couldn't put it down. Will and Lily started out the novel, but Adria played a dominant role in it as well, and I loved how true to the time period that this novel portrayed. I received this ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

With Kathryn Le Veque you can't go wrong

If you like history, romance and the strong family bonds this is a must read. I have read all of her books and now I'm trying to read in chronological order. Sounds simple but there are so many. I have and will read them over and over again. I must say she rarely makes a mistake like who is related to who or physical disruption of person place or thing. Very enjoyable! Don't take my word pick up one her novels and see if your not hooked.

Loved it!

I always enjoy de Wolfe stories and this was no exception. Will and Lily's sad marriage fiasco ended terribly, but from that sadness grew a wonderful life change for Will. Adria, lady-in-waiting to Lily, was a beautiful and sweet girl who was a wonderful friend to Lily, even at a time when she saw what a deceptive life Lily had led for so long. This was a great story of honor and compassion in those who had good reason to be angry and bitter. Another Le Veque masterpiece!

William 'Will' de Wolfe is the eldest son of the eldest son of the great William de Wolfe, and a member of a powerful Northumberland family protecting England against the Scots. He's married to Lily de Lohr, granddaughter to the Defender of the Realm, another great family in England, whose armies on the Welsh Marches has been critical to the safety on that border. But the marriage of Lily and Will is not the great love story so familiar to de Wolfe series readers. Really enjoyed Will's story, although there was great sympathy there too for the situation he was in, and really glad it got resolved in the end. Loved the introduction of a medical issue that answered the question how it got resolved. Just really like the style of writing of these books, and the romances and handsome men in medieval garb don't hurt either.

I've read a lot of this authors books and the de Wolfe family has always been my favorite, but this book has all the feels to it. What Will has had to go thru and put up with, he's a saint in my book. Adria was his wife's (Lily) lady in waiting and loved her like a sister. But things changed on one surprising day. Adria's father was a piece of work. There is surprises, sadness, forgiveness and a HEA. Excepetional book. I just reviewed WolfeLord by Kathryn Le Veque. #WolfeLord #NetGalley
