Six vicious men brought together by one woman—Dahlia Aldridge.

The future I had craved but never expected to live had been right within my grasp. The world around us had turned chaotic and messy, but I had my men, and I knew they loved me. So when I was suddenly, violently ripped away from that, taken from what I thought to be an impenetrable fortress, I found myself doubting the possibility of having that future… Let alone any future.

I knew my boys would come for me—I just hoped it would be within time to bring carnage to the misery being imposed on us.

Wildberry Lane - Home to the extremely wealthy and powerful Southern elite.
Carnage of Misery, the final installment in The Shadows of Wildberry Lane trilogy, is M. Sinclair’s debut contemporary reverse harem series. This work features a naive female character hiding a dark secret of her own, the men in her life that will do anything to keep her safe, and a scandal that stretches far beyond the safety of Wildberry Lane’s gate.

Warning: This book contains sexual content for +18. Contains swearing, violence, and triggers including, but not limited to, eating disorders, attempted assault, and bullying. Important to note, the bullying is NOT done by the harem, but rather by outside sources. This is a slow to medium burn series.

Be still my heart! Oh Yates, how I love thee, show me thy big shlong. Please stalk me. Please. I beg you.
Ugh all these men….they have moved up to the #1 spot of my favorite harem of men. Definitely the first harem that saved themselves for their woman, which was very refreshing! I loved this series. It went on my book boyfriends shelf, as well as, my favorites. This was exactly what I was looking for when I asked for RH recommendations in my fb RH book group. Will be reading more from this author!

Action packed! This book was both jammed packed with action as well as steam. Poor Dahlia had to go through a crucible and came out the other side battered, bruised and stronger than before. Her men are with her through it all. The ending epilogue leaves you satisfied, yet wanting more. I highly recommend this series

Great finale

I absolutely loved this finale. Dahlia and her men definitely went through some development from start to finish while still remaining true to their personalities. I absolutely love these men and how they worship Dahlia and could read more from them. The epilogue was the best!

Carnage of Misery is the last book in this trilogy, we’re thrown straight in to the action that the cliffhanger of book 2 left us is.

Dahlia goes through a lot in this book, it got to the point where I wondered if she was ever going to catch a break! She definitely got a lot stronger as a result which was great to witness.

I loved the further development of her relationship with each of the guys, especially the dates with Dermot which were so sweet. All of them are so possessive and obsessed with Dahlia I couldn’t help but swoon, my favourite kind of men!

There were a few things that pulled me out of the story, which may just be a personal thing, however I found a lot of full sentences such as “I am” “you are” “we will” for the characters when talking when naturally they’re more likely to use the abbreviated versions. It was just one of those things for me that when I noticed it I couldn’t stop and got distracted.

Now there were a few characters that were introduced (aside from India who’s book has been confirmed) that I’m intrigued about: the girl Dahlia met in college seems to have a story. Her bodyguard Devyn. Finally Abby, who seemed to have a mercenary stick to her like glue which really intrigued me. Most of all I’m so excited for the next generation and Navy’s story to be released, I imagine their kids will be just as hotheaded and possessive of their girl as their dads are of their mum! Also, as a result I’m looking forward to seeing how their daughters get on with over protective dads and brothers, I’m sure it’ll be interesting!

Loved it! Stars, many stars!

Carnage of Misery picks right up from Anguish and it was an exciting and fast-paced read. There was a lot of steam but, dang was it done well. I've said it before, but Ms. Sinclair creates some of the best alpha, possessive, and protective Hs ever. I adored each and every guy in here with how much they cared for Dahlia.

I appreciated how her character evolved to help put things into perspective for her. She's had to deal with bullying on top of self-image and I thought it was well handled.

One of the most romantic and sweetest moments I've ever read also took place in here, and for that alone, I want to give it its own ⭐.

Can't wait to read India's story next. If you're looking for a contemporary RH, I would definitely recommend this series!

I feel this was overall underwhelming … it definitely didn’t need three books and it’s was both too slow and too fast rather than pacing each book out over a year or so the whole series takes place within 10 weeks and it just feels unrealistic. Easy read but underwhelming

Holy moly! I loved reading this book! From the very beginning it was action packed, fast paced, and suspenseful! I loved all the characters in this book, everyone was well written and developed. Dahlia is a great FMC, she has her own shadows and demons, but mostly she embodies lightness, sweetness, and innocence. She balances all of her males.

The guys, lol! I didn’t think they could get more possessive and alpha when it came to Dahlia, but nope, they totally amp up in this book (which is the final book) and it was hilarious to read. They were all for engagement, marriage, and baby making as soon as possible!

The epilogue was so sweet and heartwarming to read!! It was 10 years into the future and it was fantastic to read how they their family developed and had grown.

Harem: Kingston, Yates, Dermot, Stratton, Sterling, and Lincoln. King and Yates seriously were the most possessive, dark, stalker-ish, and obsessive. It was very interesting and at some points hilarious to read.

Sexiness: 5 out of 5

Their are multiple POVs in this book.
The book has a HEA!

This review is of my own opinion.

“You know your ours princess - you have known for awhile, haven’t you?”

When I read a series, it’s not unusual for me to set my expectations high as the series progresses. With the first two books of this series I was blown away, so to say I had high expectations for Dahlias final book would be an understatement. M. Sinclair hit a home run with this series and specifically this book. If not only was the perfect ending to this amazing series, but probably my favorite book out of the three.

This book picked up right where the action and cliffhanger left us in book two and just didn’t stop. It was filled with action, steam, and the sweetest cavity inducing moments. It was everything I wanted and so much more.

This story simply blew me away. The action was heart racing, the steam extra spicy, and a few moments of romance brought tears to my eyes. I am going to miss Dahlia and her guys more than expected and hope to see them in future cross overs.

Sinclair also gave us a few treats in the end of this book. We get a brief look into at least something potentially big for Sinclair’s planned series for India. We are also introduced to Navy who will eventually have a story of her own.

Sinclair you truly are a writing goddess and I look forward to more books in your contemporary universe as well as the other books planned.

If you have been waiting for this series to be completed or just unsure if it’s the series for you, please hesitate no longer. You will not be disappointed. Jump on this series now and submerse yourself into life on Wildberry Lane.

as much as i love the heroes... when it's only a trilogy, and a non-romantic secondary plot taking up pages too, six heroes are two too many. there are not enough pages to familiarize myself with all of them, so some of them fade into the background a bit.

the steamy scenes are amazing though, and the heroes' possessiveness is perfect. yates stole every scene he was in.

even though ive given every book in this trilogy 4 or more stars i hesitate to add it to my "fav rhs" tag. i enjoyed the romance, the Hs, and the steam, but i don't particularly love the heroine (don't Not like her either, but she just didn't make any particular impression on me).

furthermore, and more importantly, the secondary plot was pretty random, and took up more pages than it was worth.
the bad guy, who was revealed at the end, was confusing bc he was a character who we practically knew nothing about except that he'd escaped prison. they all talked about him like we knew who he was, like he was important somehow, but we never got any more information about him. and he had hired random people to act as his children ? and got them to terrorize the heroine? why? who was the heroine to this Random Bad Guy? feels like he just did a bunch of weird shit and still acted super confident at the end as if he was somehow winning their standoff, but then he got killed SO EASILY. so what, he didn't have a proper plan? a lot of it didn't make sense, and it felt like it should've been a larger and more carefully explained plot that the author had half-assed.

The Shadows of Wildberry Lane series comes to an end in this last installment. Let me just say that I was so happy how things played out. So we know that Dahlia has been sheltered her whole life and her men are very protective of her. Well she is also beautiful and there are men who want her because she is not attainable. With this book she finally realizes what lengths these men are willing to go for her to keep her safe. She learns about what they do and she is not bothered by it because they are doing it for her. She is okay with their dark streak and is there for them to bring them out of it. These men need her just as much as she needs them. It was funny when she finds out about the tracker. I mean I should have known to. You would have thought she would be mad but she was not. She is definitely starting to put her foot down and wanting to know what is going on if it concerns her. It was amazing to watch her character grow throughout this series. We get it all, the mystery, action, medium burn and high emotions. They will be tested throughout this book but they are there for each other. I definitely love the ending. Yes we get a happily ever after. This is one of my favorites by M. Sinclair. I just love her work. Can't wait to see what is in store next.

Wow.

When I tell you this was the PERFECT conclusion to this series, I mean it. Book three of the Wildberry Lane series has to be my favorite of the series, which says a lot considering I was already obsessed with books one and two. I mean….. wow. First of all, the characters are to die for. Dahlia is such a sweet and refreshing main character, making it so easy to read from her point of view. And her guys, each unique and interesting in their own right, provided such a great cocktail of amazing, devoted, and down right obsessed MC’s. This series was the perfect concoction of plot and epic romance, keeping you guessing while knowing it would all be alright in the end. An amazing depiction of best friends-to-lovers. One focus did not carry the other, and the balance between romance, spice, and storyline was executed perfectly. I mean wow, I don’t even have the time to accurately describe how fantastic this series is. Just the kind of story that can get dark, yet still make you feel GOOD. So many twists and turns in this book specifically and I highly highly recommend giving this series a go- you will not be disappointed.

This series had a very special place in my heart. Like the first contemporary romance by Author Sinclair which she absolutely slayed us with.

I love how the characters has developed from within for the better. The growth is visible with the bonds formed between each one of them. That's the fruit of reading reverse harem, it's not just about the love but also about the friendship,  family and bonds which can surpass anything.

I am so excited for other secondary characters to hopefully get their own chance for their story. Because thus world building can never be enough.

I really enjoyed this series but I struggled slightly to finish this book there was so many different plot lines and so much happened in such a short and fast fashion it left me with whiplash. There was a lot of confusing/ unnecessary components all of the stuff with the FBI felt confusing, and is never really sorted out. The big bad of the whole series turns out to be Robert brooks and it’s incredibly anticlimactic and dealt with in an aggressively fast/rushed manner. I didn’t crazy see the point of having her make a friend for it to never be mentioned again. The ending also felt incredibly unfinished with them meeting navy (maybe this will be dealt with in the next series idk felt weird/ not necessary). As much as I loved all the boys I strangely found the twins to be redundant and unnecessary neither bringing much to the table Lincoln being similar to king and Yates but a lot more mild and sterling being similar to Stratton but less layers.

Wow! The ending to this series was fantastic. So much drama, action, and love. This last book picked up where book two left off and put us right on the edge of our seats from the beginning. So much action left me feeling every emotion while reading. The men are absolutely obsessed with Dahlia and she handles them all so well. A lot of development took place but it was exactly what each of them needed. The characters all stayed true to themselves while growing together. King had me falling in love over and over again with how possessive he was of Dahlia. Same as the other men. Their possessiveness had me wanting more. I really can’t wait for the next series in the same world just to hopefully see all these characters once again. It was a joy getting not one but two epilogues to get a glimpse of them all in future.

Shadows of Wildberry Lane

This is a review for all 3 in the series. This is a slow to med burn well worth it. I enjoyed the story so much and when the heat started it was enough to melt my phone. I love Herions like this and Alpha male as well. I'm not a huge fan of the FMC that is badass who is rude and disrespectful. Yes I like a basass but most are rude and disrespectful. This is not the case here. And besides I don't a strong Herion that makes them work for it just not being rude and disrespectful during it. I loved this book because they new each other since forever since before 5. So they were always together new each other and loved each other even if they thought they were best friends. They guys new better. And she was way well to except that cause she was in love with her BFs I just loved this story.

This was such a fantastic finale! I can't put any fault in it whatsoever- I mean it wraps everything up and you get to see the group really come together. The growth that they all went through, not just together but individually as well is truly phenomenal. I feel like the 7 characters really did become all-around well-rounded people, despite the bloodshed.

This series always had me on the edge of my seat but this book was the main one that did it! I could not predict what was going to happen or how and I thoroughly enjoyed having to wait and guess. The writing was on par yet again, there were no stagnant parts for me in any situation. The characters had you gripped from the start, and I found that though I had a firm favorite (okay 2), by the end of it they all wormed their way into my heart!

A fantastic end to a fantastic series and I really would recommend these books

Wow, Wow, Wow! I cannot say enough great things about this excellent finale to The Shadows of Wildberry Lane Series!

I devoured this book! It is a fantastic read, with plenty of mystery, intrigue, action, betrayal, surprises, and steam! The character building and relationship development are incredible! I loved seeing these amazing characters’ personal growth, as well as seeing their relationships evolve throughout the series!

I absolutely adore the characters and could not have asked for a better conclusion to their story. I am super excited for more books from this wonderful Universe!

I highly recommend this book and series! It has become one of my all time favorite contemporary RH romances!

I have waited for this book for so long and it did not disappoint. I love all things M. Sinclair writes, but these characters are some of my top favorites. We pick up where book 2 left off and Dahlia being taken. And with the psychos she calls her men that is not a fun story for anyone. This book delves into what their futures look like. With the Ross family business, a polyamory relationship, and the public eye following their every move, life might be hard. I love that we get to see how Dahlia and the guys make it work. How they each have their own relationship with her. And I especially love how fierce the men are and how far they’re willing to go to protect Dahlia. By far in my top favorite reads of 2021.

This was a perfect conclusion to Dahlia and her mens story! Full of action, suspense but most importantly love (and a whole lot of lust)! Dahlia grows so much in this story and it’s beautiful to see. Her determination to protect those she loves no matter to cost, is truly something. But even more so to truly start to take care of herself. Then add in her six protective, possessive men…be prepared for a wild ride!

This conclusion to their story was everything I could have hoped for and so much more! Dahlia and her men make my heart soar. Their love and passion for one another knows no bounds. It’s intense and all-consuming and completely them.

I can’t fully put into words just how much I love this book and this whole series. It was truly outstanding!

🌶️ Spice: 3/5 (first spice at 20%)
⭐️ Rating: 4

The last book in this trilogy was probably the best one out of the three. You get more action, more answers, more love, more smut, and a good wrap up of the initial story. The reason why this one isn’t a five is that the epilogue felt a bit like a cliffhanger. Will there be another series involving the children? Will we get extended bonus scenes? I just feel like we got dumped with something amazing and relatable to Dahlia’s past just to have it end with the book and that was disappointing. Anyways, I loved the dedication these guys had for Dahlia and how possessive they were with her. I’ve been wanting to read this series for a few months now and I’m happy to mark it off my TBR. 😊

What an amazing ending to Dahlias story!

This book was filled with action in all the best ways.

All Dahlia wanted was to relax after the horror she went through, but someone is after her, and they won’t stop until she is gone. Gone from her men, to make it easier to take over their empire.
We finally face the one behind the scenes, and it sure gets bloody.

Dahlia and her men are finally together in all way possible and they do everything for her, even kill.

If you’re a fan of psychotic, protective and possessive alpha males then you definitely should read this steamy, action packed book!

What an amazing ending! Dahlia has grown so much from the naive teenager in the first couple books. She is so much more confident and comfortable in her own skin now, it was beautiful to read. Dahlia was put in so many scary situations because of her name and the relationships with her guys and they came for her each and every time. The relationships with Dahlia and the guys were really fun to read. Some authors you can’t differentiate between the characters in a reverse harem, but that was not the case here. The guys were amazing and I love their little family! Such an amazing series. I’m wish it wasn’t over!!

This final book in the Wildberry Lane Series picks up right where book 2 left off so we don’t feel like we’ve missed anything. Poor Dahlia keeps taking hit after hit, but her men are right there with her trying to keep her safe and find out who’s behind everything. I liked that this book had a bit of action and a whole lotta smexy time with her obsessive, possessive men. They are a little baby crazy for only being 18, but when you know what you want you go for it. I think the series was wrapped up nicely and it left a few breadcrumbs to possible future stories. I can’t wait to read Indias story next and hope Navy gets one of her own.

It was alright

I've read both books 1 and 2 and this one was my least favorite. Lots of steamy scenes and her writing was better in this series than I some of her others. However, it was slow and overall uninteresting. I ended up speed-skimming the last 40 pages just so I could get if over with and read the HEA to be done. The 10 year epilog didn't make sense to me with the "something doesn't feel right " line at the end, but maybe that's supposed to be a hint at a future spin-off?
Overall, I was underwhelmed by the plot, but the steamy scenes absolutely did not disappoint

Alright what the fck happened?? Pushed thru with book 1 & 2 because I’m a sucker for sweet boys. But the plot here in book 3 is all over the place. There’s so many things going on and the writing felt even more juvenile than it already was?? I wished I just stopped at book 2, or heck even book 1. What started out great in the first book quickly degraded into this. I’m quite annoyed since I looked forward to the release of this book and got this very confusing mix of a plot. Characters don’t even appeal to me as strongly as they did in the first book anymore since the plot, and Dahlia’s head, was redundant

Overall review for the series

This review is off of personal preference alone. So please keep that in mind.

Personally, I was not a huge fan of the introspective moments. There seemed to be a lot of "I can remember this one time..." And off into a past memory. It felt like it was added to give context, but in most of the scenarios, I felt like it could have been glossed over to reach the same outcome.

The books were good overall, I enjoyed the ending. Although, I prefer a more dialogue heavy type of book that talks through the suspenseful moments opposed to introspective narration.
