This book looks at doing business by exploring the human first.
It carries the intersection of being queer, navigating mental health, and putting your art (your business), into the world in ways that honor, and acknowledge all the unique you are. All the human you are.
I appreciated that the angle that Rachel Turner comes with- that business is art, and there is no “right” way of doing business. I liked the introduction of her 4 leadership designs and the break down of each of those in different topics of business. This is a book I had on my shelf for a while, but waited until I had the capacity to receive feedback about how I’m approaching my coaching business, in an indirect way, and was in a receptive space and able to clearly assess aspects of business- presenting as trauma-Informed, acknowledging privileges, and hearing criticism of the coaching industry as a whole. I read this in one sitting with a pen in hand, and made several notes of introspection that I will carry with me in my journey of entrepreneurship.
