I couldn't take it.
The writing is choppy. The story doesn't have flow.
I've run into numerous typos on every page.

Descriptions are weird.
For instance this keeps saying Millie's eyes are Ginger-Brown. That's a hair color NOT an eye color.
My time is too important to waste on a badly written story.

Book 1 of Dark Angels MC series. Decker & Millie are two strong-willed people who care about Ronnie, who is the Club Prez and Millie's brother. When danger strikes Ronnie puts Decker in charge of keeping his sister safe. Millie doesn't want Decker's protection. He's not a member yet and she doesn't like being told what to do. But Decker gave his word that he would protect her, and that's what he will do whether she likes it or not. Millie This is the first book I've read from a prospect's POV, the role of someone who is not yet a patched member. This MC romance has descriptive world-building details, a look at club politics, suspense, betrayal, loyalty, a good plot and chemistry between the main couple. I think the main couple could have shown more of the hidden emotions they felt toward one another. There are some issues with editing and continuity but overall an entertaining read that explores the meaning of family and the value of trusting your instincts.

Millie wanted nothing to do with the MC that took her father from her, now run by her Brother Ronnie but after her brother is shot she finds a Dark Angels Prospect at her door telling her he has orders to bring her home. Decker's close to becoming a full patched member when a fight leaves their pres wounded he tasks Decker with finding his sister and keeping her safe, but safe from what? Decker never expected to fall for the fiery Millie, nor did Millie want to feel the attraction towards Decker. But no matter what a promise is a promise and keeping Millie safe comes first even if his life is on the line. This is book 1 in the dark angels series and what a start! Filled with drama, suspense, desires, loyalty and betrayal, hot scenes and more!

Prospect is the first book in the Dark Angels Motorcycle Club series. This story is a nice start to the series as it introduces us to the Dark Angels and specifically Decker Drake and Millie Crane. Decker is a prospect for the MC and Millie is Ronnie's sister, who is the club president. So when danger and violence comes at the club Ronnie's estranged sister Millie needs protection and Ronnie assigns that job to Decker. He takes the job seriously and even as Millie fights him at every turn he is determined to keep her safe and protected. Sparks fly as they fight and soon feelings develop. But will they ever have a future if Millie is still estranged from Ronnie and the MC is the only thing Decker knows.

Decker was handpicked by the prez to guard and protect Millie, the prez's sister. But she's a wild card- strong willed, feisty, and can even ride a bike by herself. Decker is gonna have his hands full with her. One big problem- troubles coming for them all and it's not who you think.

Dark Angles MC was interduced during Tempest Elite MC series, and you don't have to read that series first, but as of December 2022, this series isn't finished yet so start there and come back. They are all short, quick reads. This series touches some on the less legal aspects of MC life. DAs come across not as clean as TEs. This story, as a novella, is good. I can see where it could be made full length and things pretty explained, but it works great as a short.

Prospects are typically the low men on the MC totem pole when it comes to power and influence. Decker’s position was no different until a traitor in their midst caused a near fatal shooting of his Prez.
All Decker had was a worn out photo and instructions to protect Millie, the Prez’s estranged sister.
Even though Decker was just a prospect, it didn’t diminish his role in the club as he and Millie developed feelings for each other. I liked the way Millie was brought back into the family because of her relationship with Decker.
Lots of steam with just enough grit to make this an entertaining MC based romance.

I loved the Tempest Elite series by Ms. Phillips, but this first book in the Dark Angels series lacked connection for me. This MC is in trouble and a prospect has been tasked with protecting the president's sister. I did not feel a real connection between the two main characters, I did not like her at all, the rules in this club seem to be different, which bothered me and the story seemed to be missing too many pieces. I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Mille has done what she can to distance herself from MC life. It took too much from her. Decker shows up for protection after her brother is hurt. Decker is a prospect but fits right into MC life. Brotherhood and Millie are important and that means whatever it takes to protect her. I thought that it was a decent start to the series. I just had mixed feelings, parts that I like and parts I did not.

Millie has separated herself from MC life, including her brother's club. Decker is sent to protect her after her brother is hurt.

Decker is a prospect that fits and enjoys MC life. He knows Brotherhood is important and Millie soon becomes as important to him. His decision is to protect her at all cost.

We all know what this was trying to be. I dont know maybe this could have been better if it was longer and the author had time to develop more of the plot and characters. Also, all of the heavy hitters in the ending! That was too much. But once again, if this was supposed to be short, then it is what it is, but I do wish there was more substance in the characters and more going on with the plot. Also I couldn’t take all the nicknames 🤣, it just wasn’t working for me…

Will he be able to keep her safe or will he fail at his assigned task? Will he be able to jeep his heart out of it or will she shatter his resolve? Great start to a new series.

A story with an MC theme. Normally a position such as a prospect isn’t the main character in a story. That made this book interesting for me. I liked the intensity of the storyline. I liked that she wasn’t interested in anything about her brother’s life with regards to his MC. It was a good story.

Excellent

Dexter & Millie's story has so many emotions involved. Joy. Sadness. Not to mention the intrigue and spice factors. I would recommend this story to all who like a lively MC romance.
