When dungeon delvers and dinosaurs clash, who can survive?

Newborn Dungeon Cores must choose what entity they help contain, and that choice determines what monsters they are able to summon. After being executed for crimes forgotten in death, Tira is given the chance to make that choice. Tira chose Acekorah, the Primeval Terror, a being so dangerous few cores will risk trying to contain it.

The danger wasn’t important. Tira remembers dying. If containing Acekorah means Tira will face greater danger, that’s a risk worth taking, because the Primeval Terror walked the world long before the races of Man roamed the earth, and Cores bound to him are able to summon beings from beyond the veil of time.

Now, forged in the fires of Tira's wrath, the dinosaurs will walk the world anew.

Wrath by Alex Raizman: LitRPG Dinosaur Dungeon fantasy. Secondary world. Reincarnation. Action. Found Family. Friendships. Progression. Magic. Multiple POV. Satisfying injury tropes. Character Development.

This was brilliant! I'm so glad I decided to pick this up. It's a dungeon adventure full of magic and dinosaurs, creation and curiosity, friends and allies, excitement and battles, and joy and wholesomeness. It has unexpected twists and turns and compelling characters that are instantly likeable and relatable. With protagonist Tira's unique touch of humour, and the story's core themes of perseverance, creativity and fighting for the greater good, this is the perfect read if you want litRPG action fantasy with magic, creatures, and wholesome characters and companions. It's incredibly refreshing and fun. I would almost call it cozy; it would certainly fit with Legends and Lattes and Clean Sweep, but with more action and heightening stakes. Plus, it's got dinosaurs in a high fantasy world where no one's seen dinosaurs before.

This focuses on found family tropes, and character relationships are emotionally complex and well-written. While some parts are slow, like all litRPGs, I flew through this in a day. The plot twists and obstacles created a satisfying read, and I immediately jumped into book 2.

One of my favourite parts of this book was how Tira could eavesdrop on people in her dungeon, but she can't interact with them and they don't know for sure if they're being listened to. So, there's some unexpectantly funny, suspenseful, and relatable situations that occur. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series has in store.

I highly recommend this book.

Very anachronistic and the in universe explanations are often overly complex and sometimes even contradictory. For example: servitors don't take command points, but they take a pylon . . . Which takes command points.

There's the normal problem of a dungeon doing reading as not very interesting. And finally there's a lot of typos.

Just all around enjoyable read

Great world building, likeable characters, cool systems (and dinosaurs!) and a captivating plot. This book was a pleasure to read, I tore through it in a day and am looking forward to the next one!

I cannot BELIEVE how many pages of this I just read. On the other hand, it kept me company while ill yesterday.

This is a LitRPG dungeon book featuring strong female characters (yay!) and dinosaurs (extra double yay!!). I found the fight scenes dragged (so clearly am reading entirely the wrong genre), would have liked pictures to go with the dinosaur descriptions, and had NO IDEA what the dungeon mechanics were all about, but was invested enough in the underlying plot that i'll probably read the next one. (And by 'probably', I mean I just bought the Kindle copy and it's looking at me from the corner of the room.)

Ohhh what’s the next plot point

I don’t know quite how to read this book. I saw a new concepts new ideas I’ve never seen introduced into this genre. The ideas of glitches and hacking turned sideways a little. That’s not a spoiler you won’t understand what I’m talking about. That concept those ideas and others helped drive the story forward. My point is the main character was interesting but she was not as interesting as other plot points. Typically when I read this genre I find the plot points interesting and main character interesting because they take on a different approach to what a dungeon should be. That’s not the case here I actually see the main character kill people and I understand why she does sell. Whether it’s good or bad that’s up to you to decide the author make sure you know this is how the world works they don’t present any issue with people dying just random people mind you. Anyway since it follows a traditional approach to a dungeon it’s the plot points not related to the dungeon necessarily there are more interesting. Not like I said it’s not the main character is bad or not interesting she is just not as interesting as these plat points that I really want to know about.

I like the dinosaurs. Dungeon core books tend to be lower on my like meter than regular LitRPG books, but this one struck me as rather interesting. Not too often you see dinosaurs in LitRPG books, and to be honest, I gave this one a pass the first few times I saw it, because I didn't think I'd like it very much, but I was pleasantly surprised, and found I rather enjoyed the book, and would certainly read more in the series.
If you're a dungeon core fan, you'll most likely enjoy this one, if you're a dinosaur fan, don't pass this one by, and if you're just an average LitRPG fan, then by all means, feel free to add this one to your to read list, it's an interesting story. The only stat that bothered me was the whole 15 million years ago one of the dinosaurs in the book supposedly existed. I've not verified it, but I was always taught that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, but otherwise, the collection of dinosaurs that appeared were interesting, (yes, even the made up ones).

Decent read, fun characters, handful of spelling and grammar mistakes

Dinosaur mobs were fun and decently used, characters were fairly well written. Docked a star for spelling and grammar issues. Oddly enough not on the dinosaur names but the errors were the simple and more noticeable words or phrases.
Decently PG in tone and crude language, at times going out of the way to avoid a cuss word.

There was some fairly strong world building that made it more than just another fantasy Earth, though there were definitely points where explaining what a world specific idea was would have fleshed out a concept just a bit better.
Overall, a decent read and something to keep checking out as the world building expands

Never thought I'd want to boop a Dino snoot

To be honest, when I started this book, i was bored. The hook of the story was good, but it was immediately followed by a lot of slow growth and not much action. I decided to push through, and my patience was rewarded. The further along the story got, the more interesting it became, with more than enough action to make up for the early lull. Do the same and you won't regret it!

Decent but too many errors.

Enjoyed the dinos.
Dungeon layout was barely described.
Didn’t really care for the multiple world/dungeon ending threats, made everything seem to chaotic.
Author needs to hire an editor to trim a little bit and fix the spelling/grammar errors there are to many for such a short book.

One of The best core books I have read

I had issues at first but I pushed on . Once I got into the dungeon core,I was amazed by the charters and the system made more sense. I can say the humour is refreshing and the mobs are great. I can't wait to read book two. Thanks for a great read it helps pass my time

Normally not my thing

But DINOSAURS!!!
So, generally I'm not a big fan of dungeon core stories, but there were dinosaurs. I picked it up just for that. To my surprise it was an engaging story as well as having dinosaurs. In most core stories the characters are pretty meh, but these ones are interesting.
A smart plotline seals the deal! Tom out

Good start.

This has a good story with proper build up. The ending was a bit to quick but still good. The characters are fully fleshed out and act accordingly. All in all a good start.

Worth it.

Wasn't sure what to expect other than dinosaurs. What I got was a pretty good book, action and dinosaurs so I am pretty happy with the book. Will be thinking about the sequel.

Good writing. Did a very good job at describing fight scenes.
Reasons for lower rating:
1: Found it difficult to care for the MC, not sure why, but I didn’t feel a connection to her and when she could’ve been killed at the end I wasn’t on the edge of throughout the final sequence.
2: She most definitely should’ve died at the end from the BBEG
3: The power level of her dungeon monsters when she was just starting didn’t make sense. Made the rankings feel useless besides higher ranks having better resistances. One example is when Fosor becomes a dungeon core and is at the very bottom of the rankings (Tin 0), and creates a boss monster that is able to stand up to a dragon. That boss mob should’ve been eviscerated immediately given the rankings.
4: Fights tended to be drawn out without major consequences, specifically the main dungeoneering party. Found it kind of predictable that they weren’t gonna die, and after having that realization, reading 3+ chapters of them fighting “to the death” just to be A okay in the end made the stakes feel lackluster.
There were cool aspects of the book, but I won’t be continuing the series

It starts off really well, MC understandably dislikes humans and has no problems with making a dungeon full of dinosaurs to eat them. That does unfortunately change somewhat, but it doesn't stop her from being a proper dungeon. The minions are pretty adorable and the comedy was good too.

The biggest problem is the plot armor. There's one group that gets focused on a lot, and it's very clear from early on that nothing really bad can happen to them. After the second or third time of that group surviving things they clearly shouldn't, I found myself just skimming through any fights with them. That is a pretty large section of the book, unfortunately.

If plot armor and some pro-human sentiments don't really bother you though, I'd definitely recommend it. Those + the ending on this one make me not sure if I'll continue to the next one or not, but overall it's definitely way better than those stories where the MC refuses to kill.

I should have learned by now not to be surprised by the diversity of litRPG's! Although I've only read a few Dungeon Core stories each and everyone of 'em has been fun! I immediately fell in love with the protagonist Tira even before she became the newly formed dungeon heart! And at her formation she chose to populate her dungeon with dinosaurs! Honest to gosh Dinosaurs! And then with her new power she gave her favorite dino Zeke, sentience enabling him to leave and explore outside the Dungeon where upon he adopted a cat! Wow two of my favorite things!
So if you're like me and enjoy Dungeon Core stories, such as Shadowcroft Academy For Dungeons, Cat Core or Dungeon Core Online then this is a book for you! And if you're spoiled like me you'll pick up the audiobook! The narrators are great, and who doesn't like getting two things done simultaneously!?!

Hidden Gem

The core concept of the book is very novel and Definitely a high point. The characters were good. Well written and funny. A lot of it was typical, dungeon core but never felt like it was stats for stats sake and although the stakes are high it builds to them nicely.

I will definitely be reading the next book in this series and advise others to pick up this hidden gem of a book

A good read shame about all the mistakes

A good read for sure and worth the time my only problem is the spelling mistakes and name misses make it impossible to be a 5 star. One character has 3 different spellings of his name used multiple times as well as mistakes with other names and swapping the dinosaur names in places. If it weren't for all that this would be a very enjoyable dungeon core book.

A fun dungeoncore romp!

This was a surprisingly fun book! Had some amusing references to both Divine Dungeon as well as Jurassic Park! I couldnt find fault in either! Haha. A fun spin on the dungeoncore genre, with a similar ranking structure to some other books you may be familiar with(such as He Who Fights With Monsters). An interesting plot, and some fun possibilities open up as the book progresses. Definitly worth a read, I'm on to book 2 now!

A phenomenal demonstration of world building done well

When trawling through Amazon's litrpgs, sturgeons law is in full effect. Wrath certainly exceeds expectations with great narrative flow, well written and enjoyable characters combined with some of the best world building I've seen in a whole, without diving off the cliff of dry lore vomit.

Wrath stands as one of the best dungeon core litrpgs I have read and I whole heartedly recommend it.

There are typos, there's no way around that but this is otherwise a great read. Great characters and I'm happy to see there are some spinoff taking place on some of the other locations mentioned in this series. Author has built up an interesting cluster of interconnected worlds underpinned by some kind of system and I'm looking forward to more.

Even if I hate the term 'Issy' with an undying passion.

Very surprised at how good the story and performance

Full disclosure. I got this one for free.
So I wasn't expecting much. Personally I would have never picked it up.
But............

Holy crap! This is epic! The right combination of story, tropes, and meme jokes about the Dinosaurs made this hilarious, suspenseful and shocking in the right mix.

Seriously, I take Bopping The Snoot to a whole new level of reverence with my animals now. You'll have to read it to find out why!

Book one

Mistakes: Oh so many! I lost count. This book needs editing!

Plot: Dungeon Core story. Uses bits from other types of litrpg stories very nicely. Also dinosaurs are freaking cook and the author took time to use the latest information about them.

Characters: Very well done and interesting group.

6/10 Edit and this score will go up.

Such an amazing book

This has been such an amazing book. It's a very complex world that even if this series hits a conclusion point, the author is able to create other series in this universe without even referencing this book and characters. I want to find out so much more about everything that I hope this author keeps this universe of books active for a long time.

Great addition to greater universe

What’s great about this series starter is it pulls onto this idea of a larger universe. It fits so well knowing what I have regarding the Keldora world, even though this is an entirely different planet, knowing there’s a larger multiverse with sort of set rules. Very neat.

The Jurassic Dungeon that God’s fear

The story is a true gem of the Dungeon sub-genre of the litrpg novels that have been a hit over the last 10 years. It gives a good blend of every child’s dream of dinosaur’s and interesting chacthers to keep the read into the story till the very end.

Not just a dungeon core novel!

First of all - dinosaurs are the best!
But if you're not just looking for some cheeky JP references, this dungeon core novel has some fun additions, and great personalities!
