3.75 stars--THE PERFECT COVER is the second instalment in Charlotte Byrd’s contemporary, adult THE PERFECT STRANGER erotic, romantic, suspense series focusing on focusing on speech pathologist Isabelle Nesbit, and hedge-fund investor/escaped prisoner Tyler McDermott. THE PERFECT COVER should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book one THE PERFECT STRANGER.

NOTE: If you have not read book one, there may be some spoilers in my review.

SOME BACKGROUND: Three years earlier, former hedge-fund investor Tyler McDermott was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for the killing of his wife, her lover and her unborn child but like all men accused of such heinous crimes, Tyler claims he walked into the crime scene never knowing the extent of his wife’s infidelity. With no where to go, Tyler heads to the last safe haven, to the woman he once loved, a long time ago. Enter speech pathologist Isabelle Nesbitt. Currently on the run together, Tyler and Isabelle must outrun law enforcement, as well as the men searching for Isabelle for sins of the mother.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Tyler and Isabelle) THE PERFECT COVER picks up immediately after the cliff hanger of book one wherein Isabelle believes she has been left behind until a chagrined Tyler returns for the woman he loves. Togethr on a cross-country journey, heading towards destinations unknown, Isabelle quickly discovers that Tyler is hoping for a return on a former investment, and a promise to another former inmate, pulls the couple into a dangerous situation. As the couple become a four-some, not all is well when Tyler and Isabelle find themselves alone, without money, and facing the possibility of losing it all. As Isabelle begins to research the circumstances surrounding Tyler’s conviction, she will soon discover that lies of omission meant the focus of the investigation never waivered from the man that she loves.

This is the second book in the series and I do recommend reading them in order. Tyler and Isabelle’s story continues. The are on the run and both are hiding secrets from each other and not sure who else they can really trust. As they spend more time together their chemistry gets more intense. Loads of drama, suspense and steam. This action-paced read with full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing from beginning to end. I look forward to the next book in the series. I loved it!

There’s so many things lurking around the corner for these two they don’t know who they can trust rightfully so and it leaves them massively on edge and hiding things from each other. The twists and turns and not knowing what’s next kept me engaged and I look forward to seeing what will happen next

The Perfect Cover, by Charlotte Byrd.Tyler and Isabelle are back. What are they up to you ask? Well they are up to their eyeballs in money and to many blackmailers in the wheelhouse. Somebody’s got to go!
Isabelle says, “ it ain’t me... Mac!?” Charlotte spoils her readers with her second volume to her Perfect Stranger series. With this book she didn’t disappoint. After major trust issues flare up between Tyler and Isabelle, the two make their way cross country towards the destination of California. During their drive the couple spends time getting to know one another.
Isabelle researches Tyler’s case. She has questions that Tyler isn’t giving answers to. Just when Tyler has made a crack in Isabelle’s wall of solitude, he goes and does something that has Isabelle shouting at him, “what were you thinking!? In comes Mac, he’s the second part to Tyler’s story. At first as I was reading more about Mac’s character, I was saying to myself, “where is Charlotte going with this storyline” ?
Tyler feels that he owes Mac for saving him. Isabelle, being the smart one doesn’t like where things are going. What do they say about to many hens in the hen house? I enjoyed reading the second book to this romantic suspense. Charlotte gives her readers bits and pieces to questions from the last book.
Isabelle and Tyler’s passionate interludes pick up with Tyler being a little more demanding in the bedroom, but Isabelle doesn’t mind at all. “Lye down on the bed you say? Yeah sure. Do with me what you will Tyler. I am your clay.
Now mold me.” New characters are added with mysterious past. Some are killers and others are shady. All Isabelle wants to do is protect Tyler. As I said before, this is becoming a real who done it mystery, but before you get to that part, Tyler and Isabelle has to deal with deception and betrayal first.
No it’s not by the drug dealers. No it’s not by the Mafia. And no it’s not by that mysterious caller. Things come to ahead at the end that leaves me shocked. I’m yelling at Tyler “your to soft”.
Isabelle, kick some but girl! It’s time to go home. I recommend this book with two snaps and as women, our moms has always told us to hide our money in our safe deposit box. Isabelle, what happened? This book was all about trying to get away from the cops and trying to stay alive.

With that I found the book a bit exciting but the thing that make the book go down to two stars was the continued fighting and battle with herself.

Trying to decide if she could trust him or be with him or even if she believed him. I could understand the conflicting emotions but it felt like that was all she though about even if she already has decided to go with him for the ride.

Really Charlotte!! The Perfect Cover # 2 by Charlotte Byrd will have you on edge with all of the new players introduced in this second book as we follow Tyler and Isabelle's journey on the run. This story had so much drama and suspense going on with both Tyler and Isabelle keeping secrets from each other as it seems with every step they take Isabelle is finding out more things about Tyler that needs to be addressed. Too many unanswered questions as the plot thickens regarding his alibi who really killed his wife and partner and why was he case rushed to judgement. The more time they spend with each other they begin a relationship that is full of steam and passion as they confess their love for each other, but will it be enough? Now Mac enters the story as he was the one who escaped with Tyler, at first you can tell he can't be trusted and now will be travelling with them. Isabelle doesn't trust him, what does he have to do with Tyler needing to start over and how is he involved. Can she convince Tyler that they need to get him to leave before they get caught. Now Isabelle has to tell Tyler the truth why she easily agreed to go on the run with him when she is contacted by the Mafia who wants their money of $100,000 the same amount that the FBI has a bounty on Tyler. They informed her that they have known she has been with Tyler all along and they know where they currently are. She is given a deadline to come up with the money or else. When Mac disappears with the woman he picked up at a bar, he takes off stealing all of the money Tyler and Isabelle had on them. So many twists and turns in this story as Tyler and Isabelle have to travel to see Tessa who Tyler indicates owes him money for the work he did for her company, only to be told all of her money is tied up, but if he does a job for her she will help him out. Now these three travel to the desert to dig up barrels of money that Tessa has hidden. One can tell that Tessa is up to no good, when a speeding car pulls up, who should it be but Mac, Maggie and non other than Nicholas Crawford. What the hell !!!! Things go from bad to worse, Mac wants all of the money, has he been working with Tessa all along? Why did he turn on Tyler and what does he know about the murder? What does Nicholas have to do with all of this? Now we are left with a cliffhanger with Mac firing his gun at Tyler. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. You could tell from the beginning of this story that this was not going to end well for the major characters, now we have to wait for the next book. Damn!! Charlotte Byrd has given us a real whodunit with this plot driven series.

The mystery and lies continue for both of them.  

Isabelle and Tyler keep getting closer.  They make their get away and start heading out for California.  She still feels the pressure of dreading being caught since there is a reward for Tyler's capture.  She still believes in his innocence but she does question some things.  Sometimes Tyler is forthcoming other times he's not.  
There is a surprise passenger that Tyler picks up.  Isabelle can't believe that with this stranger Tyler has put them in danger of being caught.  The passenger, there were three prisoners that escaped prison and one is dead.  This could possibly get them killed.  
Tyler and Max start taking chances eating at diners and Max even goes to a bar and picks up a girl.  More action, mystery, danger and mistrust.  Meanwhile Tyler and Isabelle still believe they love each other.  They share hot and steamy sex, can't keep their hands off each other.  Isabelle has her own secrets that aren't good.  Little do they know that most of the money Isabelle is carrying is going to go missing.  Before then, they were stopped while on the freeway for speeding.  Tyler still has plans to make it to California to collect money that is owed to him by a business partner.  There's a secret with Tessa as well.  Except she doesn't have the money he is expecting but she leads him where she literally hid some.  
That brings a surprise visitor and things get critical.  A shot rings out and we are left with a cliffhanger.  
The series keeps getting better with each book.  I can't wait to read the next book and see what things bring.  A great series so far by Charlotte Byrd.  Definitely recommend and hold on to your pants.

Tyler and Isabelle's story continues in this second book by Charlotte Byrd.
After escaping from prison and finding an ally in Isabelle they are now on the run and Isabelle is determined to prove Tyler's innocence even though she is keeping secrets of her own.Shrouded in lies and deceit they are still incredibly attracted to one another and the chemistry is still very much alive.
There is so much content to this story that it would be so hard for me to explain in just a short review,but it will make your head spin in a WOW kind of way..My jaw was on the floor at times,as we meet new characters and discover new revelations.
This book is an intense,suspenseful drama filled book and I Loved it ,thoroughly enjoyed every single page.It kept me on my toes and completely engaged I couldn't put it down and feel emotionally wrung out to dry after reading it.
One things for sure I can't wait for the next book.
I Highly recommend it Romance suspense fans will Love it.

This is the second book in the series, Tyler and Isabelle’s story continues. The are on the run and both are hiding secrets from each other and not sure who else they can really trust. then they stop and Pick up the man that helped Tyler get out of prison "Mac" and things start going crazy, he doesn't worry about going out and being seen, he meets a woman called Maggie and she goes with them too until they disappear one day taking all of the money...is this the end we see of them?

After that both Tyler and Isabelle open up and tell each other their secrets and boy what secrets!

There are lots of twists and turns in this book but they all make sense, Its hard to review too much as you don't want to give anything away and spoil it for others, it ends on a cliff-hanger that you want to know what happens next.

This is book two of an ongoing series. You do need to read book one first and then prepare yourself for the cliffhanger that you will find at the end of this book. Tyler and Isabelle's intense, suspenseful and super twisty story continues. This book will seriously have you on the edge of your seat, picking your jaw up off the floor and saying "WTF" over and over again. The chemistry and attraction continues to build as Isabelle and Tyler's relationship deepens and starts to evolve into maybe something more than kidnapper and hostage. I can't lie, this cliffhanger left me floored, speechless and desperate for the next piece of this incredible series. This is my sincere review that I am posting of my own accord.

This is book two in The Perfect Stranger Series and it continues the story of Tyler and Isabelle. Tyler and Isabelle are now on the run even though he tried to drive away from her to protect her he couldn't do it. Isabelle was not happy that he tried to abandon her but as she loves him she will have to forgive him as she wants to help. There are many twists and turns that you don't see coming but where will it all end and omg what a cliff hanger. This series just gets better and better and I can't wait to read the next book as it is so addictive. Charlotte Byrd is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

The Perfect Cover is the second book in this series. It will capture and hold you hostage until the last word has been read! It will have you on edge as you read. There are new characters introduced in this book. Tyler and Isabelle are on the run. They both have secrets that they are keeping from each other. There is alot happening in this book that keeps you turning pages. Plenty of lies, secrets, betrayal, angst, danger, chemistry, desires and more. Never a dull moment. Can these two have a lasting love? Will the secrets tear them apart as they are discovered? So many questions! I would highly recommend this series and this book. I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author. I am eagerly awaiting the third book!!!

Charlotte Byrd has done it again with this second book in The Perfect Stranger series and it will keep any reader on the edge of his/her seat. Isabelle and Tyler are on the run as the book picks up from where the first book left off and it is not a standalone. It seems as if each one is keeping secrets and when pressed to get any information it is like pulling teeth to no avail. However, as Isabelle learns snippets about Tyler, they need to be discussed as there are too many unanswered questions. This is one high octane read that leaves more to the imagination as readers will have to wait for the next installment to see what transpires next, and I for one, cannot wait. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

The story continued on and the story didn't get any more exciting. The suspense was there but not enough to get me engaged. The story was just too slow and too wordy. I don’t think I’ll continue on with the series.

I have know idea who this. Why is he doing this to me? He blindfolds me and he talks in different ways. But I’ve heard that voice before. I accidentally see his Tyler’s face. A person out of my past. He’s been shot and everyone is looking for him. Why did he come to my home and hide? He has grown up a very tall, sexy man. I’m afraid if authorities find him here, I’ll be in trouble too. And I have the Mafia after me for a debt of my mother’s only $100,000. I really enjoyed this book. Isabel doesn’t give as good as she gets. She doesn’t tell the truth. If she can’t the the truth, then she say I can’t talk about this. The book keeps you on your toes. It is very entertaining. You will love it too!!

All The Lies, Volume 1 by Charlotte Byrd
She has done it again. I don't know how Charlotte Byrd keeps coming up with these stories but this one has moved up to my number one in a series. Emma is a writer for a magazine, Daniel Matthews hired her right on the spot but he has since had a heart attack and put his niece Corrin in charge. She can't stand the sight of Emma and will do anything to fire her. There are a lot of twists and turns in this volume one that it is so hard to put down. I just love it so far and can't wait for the next volume I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.

Well, this the second book in the series. We have Isabelle and Tyler on the road on the way to a new life and to prove he did not kill his wife and his partner. There are lies, betrayal, secrets and such twists that it will keep you turning because it is such an unbelievable twist that this series takes. I can't wait to finish this review so I can read the next book in this series. I just can't wait for you to meet the people who join this story along the way. I am still reeling from reading this book and ready to read the next. Get this book it is definitely worth it; it is so exciting.

Tyler and Isabelle are on the run. It's not the destination but the journey they embark on that brings double crosses, deception, secrets, lies, revelations and a 100,000 reasons.

This one gets so thick. One page twists into the next. I couldn't believe the things that are going on and then I get another wt* moment on top of the previous.

The master of the cliff has done it again. I want to climb the tallest building and scream for this epic cliff that has me holding my heart. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Tyler and Isabelle are on the move and when they meet up with Mac she’s less than thrilled. He takes too many chances and could get them killed. Stress, secrets and lies are all starting to bubble to the surface. What Tyler thought he knew about Mac was a lie and the twisted thing is Tyler trusted him, that was his first mistake, his second was taking a step toward him while Mac was pointing a gun at him.
Great read and now we wait to find out what happens next. I received a copy of this book.

This is the second book in the Perfect Stranger series. If you haven't read book one (The Perfect Stranger), you will need to read it first so you know what is going on in the story. Book two is very intense and compelling. You don't really want to put the book down as there is lots going on. More characters come into play and Isabelle and Tyler's relationship heats up. This book also ends in a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting the next book to come out right away.

Another great read by Charlotte Byrd who once again brings strong characters and weaves a thrilling story line. She does a great job building the story with all the suspense and drama and kept me glued to the pages with the intrigue and all the twists and turns. She builds the sexual tension between Isabella and Tyler and leaves you hanging with yet another cliffhanger ending. I'll be anxiously awaiting the next book.

The plot thickens. More characters come into play and the storyline becomes more complicated. The questions continue to pile up? The suspense is increasing. The mystery the drama are unfolding. The heat and the relationship between the 2 main characters continues to develop and build. And that ending! There's a definite unexpected twist within the cliffhanger!! Can't wait to see what develops next.

The Cliffhanger to this book has left me wanting more. Isabelle and Tyler deserve so much better they are surrounded by people they can not trust and people who are greedy. Tyler makes a big mistake which he pays for in the end and Isabelle refuses to be honest which leads to drama. I will be looking forward to continuing reading this series.

The follow up book of The Perfect Stranger comes in with a bang and not a whimper. Tyler and Isabelle are on the run and secondary characters are now in the picture. Serialized stories are Ms. Byrd’s forte and if you look at reviews there are almost no complaints about this. I enjoy this author’s works, always have. I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book for a fair and honest review, and have already purchased the book.

Charlotte Byrd is definitely the Queen of Cliffhangers. The Perfect Cover continues the story of Tyler and Isabelle who are now on the run and meeting with up Mac, who seems to be bringing his own agenda and issues into an already fraught situation. Can they trust him or even each other as the series progresses. Can not wait for the next book in the series.

The saga continues with Isabelle and Tyler who are both on the run. Tyler is running from the prison break and Isabella is running from a debt that is not hers to pay. Many things take place as the make their way cross country. Tyler never told Isabella that they were picking up the other escapee Mac half way there. Things are just changing for them both. I am courteous as to what is going to happen in the next book. I am waiting patiently. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for my honest review.

Suspenseful you know the kind that keeps you on the edge waiting and wondering what's just beyond the horizon. Tyler and Isabelle's story is fascinating with safely guarded secrets coming out a little here and there that makes you want to scream from the terror of them. It was impossible for me to put this book down, but there is one helluva cliffhanger that leaves me eagerly waiting for the continuation of this series.

Who knew being on the run could be so sexy!!!
Even though Tyler and Isabelle are still trying to earn each others trust, the heat intensity and chemistry continues to grow. There are definite twists and turns to the story. I could not put down the book. I am now on the edge of my seat until the next installment comes out. Charlotte definitely knows how to pull you into a story and keep you guessing until the very last installment. Thank you Charlotte for continuing to write great stories.

The saga continues in this 2nd book in the series. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. This book is full of drama, suspense, betrayal and twists you won’t see coming.
