In a world where men rule and slavery is the common practice, being the only queen and abolishing slavery puts a large target on your back. Ashera is a queen in a world of kings. She took her crown and has paid for it in blood. Not everyone is willing to let her rule in peace, however, especially not the neighboring kingdoms for whom human slavery is still very much in practice.

Ashera continues to bleed for her crown while showing each kingdom that men aren’t the only ones who can rule. But when a resistance against Ashera’s rule grows, she’s forced to realize that she can’t create widespread change on her own. She’ll need to win the hearts of the men who rule alongside her if she’s to crush the resistance and free all of humanity.

Seducing them is easy, she’s a succubus with lithe curves and a wicked tongue. It’s getting them to change their minds that is the challenge. Especially when she’s faced with an unruly and violent Vampire Prince, an over the top dramatic Fae Prince, an Angelic king, and a Demonic assassin. They’re all alpha males in their own right, each one thinking they know what’s best for their queen.

Unfortunately for them, she has no intention of listening.

This book is absolute 🔥🔥🔥!

If you’re a smut-lover like me and love a badass female lead with a harem of sexy, smokin’ hot, fantastic creatures including a vampire, fae, demon, and angel — then READ THIS BOOK!

Not only is the writing excellent and the storyline great, but the steam level on this one is outstanding from beginning to end! The character development is perfect and the descriptions of this fantastic world created by these two writers are amazing!

I loved this book and couldn’t put it down! I devoured the whole thing in one day and cannot wait until the next one comes out!

OUTSTANDING JOB LADIES! LOVED THIS BOOK!

I received a copy of this book as an ARC from the authors. This is my honest review.

Ashera is a warrior through and through; there's no doubt in that. She earned her place as queen, no stumbling into power - she fought for it. She wasn't perfect or the best at everything simply because that was what the plot needed her to be. It was a refreshing change.

That being said, overall, this book fell short of what I had hoped it would be. The story felt like it got lost in all the spice. I was craving some sort of buildup or tension, but it wasn't there. The relationships were too easy, and the plot was lacking depth. Some of the spicy scenes felt kind of thrown, and all I wanted was to get back to the story.

I had high hopes for this one, but ultimately I just felt let down.

If you're into heavy romance and spice, this may be a book you enjoy! But if you're someone like me who enjoys a more plot-heavy story, this may not be for you.

No rating =/= 0 stars for this one. Just isn’t really worth the rating 😅 like
5 ⭐️ if your horny
1 ⭐️ if you want plot

think of a sex pile of 8 people and one person has a thong. Those undies are the threads of plot thrown into this story. Definitely a heavy smut read 🥸 but ya know what , I made it through aside from the asinine nickname of Dickslayer, given to our FMC by one of her mates.

The FMC is powerful , doesn’t lose said powers, keeps racking up mates like infinity stones and has a bunch of bisexual men round her lol points for knowing how to defend herself , points deducted for not detailing the fights better.

Funny enough I do think that if the author just put a plot together & didn’t have them banging every chapter this could be quite the book cause communication is good between all, the FMC never gave immature/frustrating, and all love interests weren’t complete asshats, and a woman usurping slavers & tyrants to become Queen and inspiring other domains to do the same is a pretty solid premise 🤣

Again do not read this book for plot, read it during your ovulation window cause that’s all it’s really good for 🥳

I had high hopes for this one, really big high hopes, and they were just crushed.

As much I liked the smut, I would have loved character development and relationships coming together not just fucking at the first chapter.

I think the authors depended too much on the smut, they just forgot the plot.

I tried finishing this book so hard, but all I did when I was reading is cringe so bad.

Man this had potential.

This book is 90% pure filth and reverse-harem smut with 10% plot.

So it went a bit like this:
You lost a mate! Me: Oh, no.
You get a mate! Me: Cool, multiple mates.
You get three mates! Me: Oh, more mates?
You get a fourth one! Me: That's so many!
You get two more! Me: Well, now it's ridiculous...

This whole book was ridiculous, I didn't think there is a thing as too much smut. But if the spicy scenes are literally in every chapter and you have no connection to the characters and know frick all about them, it's quite boring and lackluster. 😖

There isn't much depth to the whole world or the characters themself and a little explanation of the ways the world works, which was confusing. The mating bonds were over the top. I cringe when characters have sex all the time, even after kidnapping or a concussion. But when you use blood as a lube, that's where I draw a line. Also, who thought using "dick slayer" as an endearing nickname was okay? And I can't grasp how it could be used in a "soothing" voice. 🙈🙈🙈

One good thing were Ambrose's thoughts, he had fun nicknames. Also Jacobi's pureness was a fun new thing I never read and want to read other books with angels in it. Malaki was a dickhead, when he only acknowledged the mating bond when others wanted "what was his" but then he was all for sharing, where is the consistency? Where is it hiding? TELL ME!

Overall, just a mess of a book, basically porn with almost no plot and even if there was a plot it went by so quick, you could have missed it.

2 stars

P.S. I will be reading the second one, because I'm surprisingly curious how it will play out with the new "mate" arrivals and if there is anything to this story and also, for the funsies. 😅

I can honestly say that Blood Crown by Elizabeth Brown and Torri Heat is the smuttiest book I have ever read, and I FLOVED it. I think ye will too!

Here's my review and why you should pre-order this book:

Let me first begin by saying that this book is not for readers that do not enjoy reading incredibly hot smut in literally every chapter, multiple times per chapter, and it is not for those who do not like Reverse Harems. If that's you then step away from this book!

However, if you love a lot of spice, Reverse Harems, ⚔, more ⚔ even more ⚔, and High Fantasy books then this is 1000% for you.

I truly loved it. Beth and Torri were not joking when they said that there is major spice in every single chapter. After finding Torri on Tiktok, and watching her describe the book, I signed up for the ARC because I was curious to know if smut in every chapter could work without taking away from the plot. These two geniuses managed to balance it perfectly.

The writing is amazing. The story outlines the struggle of Ashera, a succubus Queen sitting on the throne in the kingdom of Shaytan, and the threat to her rule by the surrounding Kingdoms simply because she's a woman. Along the way she finds her Mates, and together they work to fight the resistance formed against her for ending the slavery of humans.

Beth and Torri masterfully crafted an epic world filled with Vampires, Angels, Demons, Fae, Shifters, and more. Ashera quickly became one of my new favourite FMCs with her sharp tongue, strategic mind and strong will. She takes no sh*t, and I love her for it.

The character development throughout the story was beautifully done and the group dynamic was fantastic. Each of her mates grew so perfectly into the type of partners Ashera needed, as well as learning to become the kind of rulers they truly wanted to be.

2 of them are major a-holes but I kinda freaking love them more because of it! (hello daddy issues, yes I see you. Thank you for allowing me to fall in love with MC's that have the emotional availability of a trash can.)

The smut absolutely furthered the plot, and it was glorious to read. I cannot wait to read the second book!

In regards to being a fantasy novel, Blood Crown was an absolute dumpster fire. In regards to being a fantasy romance, Blood Crown delivered. But let's get some things straight:

Is the plot good? No.

Does it at least make sense? Also no.

Is the magic system explained or even well-designed? You guessed it! No.

Are the characters fleshed out with convincing and well-earned growth over the course of the story? A little less no than the other no's, but still a no.

Are there sex scenes every single chapter? Yes.

Have I sold this book to you yet?

Don't read this unless you are looking for a literal erotica novel with some fantastical elements. The story is not going to make sense, but at least the staging of the sex scenes do! Blood Crown is fun for what it is, but you have to meet it where it's at. I love this ridiculous genre and I am looking forward to the sequel.

DNF at about 75%. I just got so bored and nothing made me want to pick it up to continue reading it. This book is just pure smut with not a whole lot else to it. It was great at the start but then it was pretty much just the same smutty scene over and over again. There was no buildup and it was just kind of flat.

I wish there was more to the plot as it sounded amazing to have one bad a** Queen who had to try to convince all these men to end slavery,.. but there was no convincing at all. They all were just love sick puppies and did whatever she wanted immediately…which got pretty annoying. I wish there was more to the romances. I wish it took more than just a page to “convince” the men to end slavery. And I wish not every single guy was destined to be with her… it was laughable after a while.

The writing was good and I liked the different characters perspectives but this book missed the mark for me. It had a lot of potential to be an amazing book, and probably would have been if there was more effort put into to the plot.

Perfection , Amazing I give it 10 stars I love it so much We first meet Ashera as she is getting ready to meet the other royals who rule the surrounding countries after she successfully lead a rebellion to overthrow her king. Thus being crowned the first ever Queen of her land. Subsequently none of the other surrounding countries have ever had a queen either so she’s the first ever in history. Navigating the visceral attraction of the four males along with quelling any resistance to her claim to power keeps Ashera busy in the days/weeks after taking the crown. Thank you so much and was honored reading this book🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

What a lucky little queen.

Well, this book. Has. Everything. MM. RH. Enemies to lovers. Friends to lovers. Fast paced. A strong, beautiful heroine with a submissive side she only shares with her mates. . . Speaking of her mates. . . Holy. Shit. What a lucky little queen she is. This book has a lot of smex. . . like. A . Lot. But we were warned. The characters are interesting and fun. I'm a stickler for witty banter and Blood Crown nailed that aspect. Team Mal, btw!

From how Ashera comes up from her tragic start to bathing in her enemies blood literally the open scene which sets off this whole story and sucks you in from the start I can not wait for book two and to read more from the authors

This book was just perfect! The Smut is everywhere but it is not too much. Im not sure how they pulled that off honestly!

The Harem is so equal that I don't have a favorite! It's so rare that you do not lean toward a Character in RH but I have equal feelings for each one and again WHAT MAGIC!

This is everything you need in a Fantasy RH

IT'S GOT CROWNS, BOYS WITH WINGS, BOYS WITH FANGS, KINGDOMS FIGHTING FOR CHANGE, A BAD ASS LEAD HEROINE!

So basically read this and be happy~

Bloody hell… there’s just so much sex. If we are rating this on spice levels then it’s definitely maxed out. If we’re rating this on how enjoyable it is, then we’re looking at about 4 stars. But if we’re rating the book itself, plot and writing… then it is absolute shite. But sexy shite. And yes, I will be reading the second one when it’s released.

Blood crown is officially the smuttiest book I’ve ever read. Hot steamy sex in EVERY single chapter. Ashera is a badass succubus. Watching her grow as queen and mate was amazing. She took command from the first page to the last. Jacobi is an Angel (ha) he so sweet, yet so dirty. Malachi is an incubus and makes a perfect mate to Ashera. I enjoyed the way he “mostly” dominates. Caspian is a gorgeous Fae, and I can’t wait to see more from him, now that he’s over his issues. Ambrose the vampire, was my favorite character, his snarky comments had me in stitches. I loved all their nicknames for Ashera. I can’t wait to see what happens as the mates deal with growing territory, mates, and Ashera’s power. Looking forward to the installment of this series.

4.5 stars overall - 10,000 stars for the sex and spice. I mean, hot damn. Yes, I marked it 5 in Goodreads because rounding down is not cool at all! The main reason I’m giving 4.5 stars in my review is because of the last few chapters (I detail why in the spoiler section of the review).

First things first, if you don’t like explicit sex in your books, don’t come on here and start giving a bad review. I hate when people do that. The authors are beyond clear about the book's content and that there is sex in every chapter. They also have warnings at the beginning of the book for a reason!

Okay, now onto my review 🙃 Ashera is a strong female character who fought her way to the top. My favorite thing about her is that she takes what she wants with no apologies or hesitation. Whether it’s diplomatically as Queen or as a female in the bedroom, she’s a succubus, so her need for sex is expected, and wow, let me tell you...I am jealous of her sex life. I love how the authors never made the sex scenes seem sleazy or out of place. They flowed seamlessly, and it was a normal part of life. There were times where I wished our current society was as open about sex and the desire for sex as this book was. Maybe literature is where change starts...

The men in the book are dominant and sexy. I did enjoy all of them but would have liked a tad more character development with them. We do learn about their pasts and a bit of who they are as individuals, but some of that gets lost in the plot and their sexual exploits. Don’t get me wrong; I loved it all! I just wanted to get to know them more. I was falling for them all. I do know we will learn more as books 2 and 3 come out, though, so that’s okay.

Jacobi is brilliant and kind and the anchor in Ashera’s sails. Mal has been her rock for decades, and she needs him like the air she breaths. Ambrose is an asshole who you can’t help but love to hate...and then dream about rolling around in bed with. Caspian grew on me like a fungus...he’s not my favorite, but I did love that the authors kept him true to the person we first met. We do see him grow and evolve, but I am thankful they didn’t mold him into something he wasn’t just because he is “her mate.”

The sex between all characters will set your sheets and hormones on fire. The dominance is well written and not heavy-handed. That’s a tricky balance to find, and the authors nailed it. There were no flowery metaphors or glossing over terms for people’s sensibilities. It was natural, dirty, and raw. It’s in every chapter and done in a way that keeps you following the plot instead of derailing it.

“What the little queen wanted, she got.”

Spoilers ahead after this point. Including thoughts about the end of the book.

Ashera has a kinky as fuck mind, and I AM HERE FOR IT. The M/M was unexpected, but omfg was I on fire after reading it. I’d say Ashera and I had the same responses. I’ve always enjoyed reverse harems, and to see dominant males work with each other in a way that brought their lover and themselves pleasure was incredible...even when Ashera wasn’t directly involved. The sexuality was fluid and free among all of them, and I loved it.

The nicknames killed me, especially “dick slayer” and “princess.” I also enjoyed Mals use of the word slut; it never felt degrading or dirty. He used it to garner pleasure from her. The continual use of princess did it for me, and the moment of sexual dominance between Mal and Ambrose where he calls him that before he fucks him and controls how he fucks Ashera’s mouth at the same time...panty dropper.

“Now be a good little princess, and let your queen watch me fuck you.”

The authors did a fabulous job balancing the four men and their encounters with Ashera, and they were a partnership (well, Caspian still had a way to go) and not four men competing for her time and body. They worshiped her.

The main reason I’m giving 4.5 stars in my review is that right at the end, we get smacked with two more mates, and if my hunch is correct about the kingdom we have yet to meet, there will be another coming. I think the thread of the “man” who had features representing all the races was a hint there’s going to be a mate from every race if not more...but I could be wrong. I don’t know how I feel about adding more mates and more people to dance around as a unit. The authors could blow me the fuck away with how they manage it in books 2 and 3, but I’m just not feeling it right now. There are two more books, so I may change my mind, which could change this perspective, but for now, not a fan.

I was given an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review... and omg I was not prepared. I’m not even gonna lie I loved this book so much I cried when I finished it because I was so overwhelmed by all the feels. You’ll be happy to know it does not end on a cliffhanger... and yet it still leaves you desperate for more all the same. If you love strong, empowered women who are not afraid to stand up and fight for what they want then this book is for you! The love interests (yes plural... this is the spiciest reverse harem I’ve ever read) are swoon worthy and you’ll have no problem falling in love with them. Love vampires, Fae, angels, demons, and shifters? This book has you covered. I can’t even pick a favourite because they’re all so amazing and swoon worthy in their own way (and diverse!!!). Also there are absolutely jealous and possessive alpha males in this book... proceed full speed ahead! The authors promised smut in every chapter and they DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT. 🥵 If I could marry a book, it would be this book, and I am counting down the days until book 2! I need this book to be immortal so everyone forever can love it.

From the first line I was hooked! I like a first line that immediately tells me that a book will be good and this one did. I did not want to stop reading and had a hard time putting this one down!

Blood Crown is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
(That’s it, enough said, just felt like it deserved its own line)

Ashera is such a badass and I loved seeing that and how she always fought for what she believed and what is right. She got back up no matter what was thrown her way.

I loved all of the character growth so much! Not just Ashera, but all of the males as well. They all grew in a different way and started to find themselves through each other. I loved the relationships developed between the males and seeing them get used to each other, but still teasing and making fun of one another.

Blood Crown left me wanting more and I need book two now! I can’t wait to see more of Winta and Thorne. I would definitely recommend this book! Not only is it a great romance, but I love the fantasy and world building side of it too! All the different species and peoples were so cool.

Go preorder/buy now!! You don’t want to miss this one!

The first thing I have to say about this book, is that I read it in one sitting... which included staying up until 5am so I could finish it.

That's how much I loved this freaking book.

The second thing, is that you are about to read a fantasy/paranormal erotica. Not spice. Not smut. Erotica with plot.

There is not one chapter without it and boy, is it 😘

Not only, is the MC an amazing badass, but she's also a Succubus Queen with a harem of protective and hot guys.

Did I mention that these guys are royalty? Most of them anyway? No, well I have now.

Yes, we all read for the badass girl power, but we can admit the fact that we also read these books for the hot guys. Hot. Hot. Hot. Every single one of them.

Y'know when you're reading a reverse harem and you almost always have a favourite guy or few guys? Yeah? Well in Blood Crown, I loved every guy the same. They were all *chef's kiss* AMAZING. And did I say hot??

Okay so I've spoken about the smut and erotica and the sexy men, but outwith all of that, the plot itself is actually really good and completely unpredictable.

I cannot wait for the next book because I NEED TO KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPPEN!!!

“Bathing in the blood of one’s enemies was an invigorating way to start the day.”

This book is a reverse harem following Ashera, a succubus queen who has recently taken the throne and freed all of the slaves. She begins to form mate bonds with other powerful players in their world and the story goes from there. Honestly, the writing in this one was really not that good. The pacing of events made no sense - like 10 million things would happen in one day and I'm not sure there are even enough hours. It was a very jaunty and unpolished writing style. HOWEVER, this book's shining achievement is that there is a steamy scene Every. Single. Chapter. That kept the entertainment value of this book up and was probably the only reason I finished.
