A History of Modern Tibet #2

Rate this book

An authoritative account of these years of Tibet's modern history and an essential read for those interested in this topic.

Read this after my recent trip to Tibet. Dalai Lama was a progressive doomed to fall for Mao's charisma and leftist rhetoric, as shown by this extremely well-researched volume on 1951-1955.

It’s amazing how in depth this book is. I don’t think it’s possible to have a more comprehensive book about Tibet from 1951 - 1955
