The galaxy is a massively large and complex place, but the most critical points in it are in the Core and known as the 'Gateways,' for they are the gravitational anchors that allow for inter-galactic travel and are located in the densest region of the galaxy where the monster-like Megaloids exist en mass.It is in this environment that Star Force must fight to take the Gateways from the Hadarak...and then defend them against everyone else.
Aer-ki Jyr is one of the top 20 science fiction authors on Amazon due to his extremely long and ongoing space opera epic STAR FORCE, one of the longest military science fiction series ever written.
A great improvement over the last couple of books.
I really liked this one. We got to see what happened with the transforming Hadarak and how the other giant aliens are interacting with star force and helping out, like the Veloqueen. We get to see what's going on with the trailblazers kids and how they are adjusting to their inherent badassery. The star force philosophy is here but serves to add to the story and it doesn't feel like I'm in some lecture hall or at church lol. We see the progress of the invasion into Hadarak deep core space. Interesting battles but a little bit too easy I think. And our favorite T-rex makes an appearance and meets a race that would seem to have a lot of knowledge about other galaxies. More evil to come maybe? My only negative I would say is that Ariel's accomplishments with her water world system are pretty much rendered pointless. What was the purpose to her research if it is just rendered moot now? But other than that, loved it.
How I long for the days when there were 100 books still for me to read. For the last few months I have tried my best to hold off on reading them until I had a few lined up to binge on. And I never make it more than a few days!
Such an amazing series. If you haven’t started the series yet do so now! And in the early books if the training seems to grind on a bit push through it!
If you haven’t started this series yet, you should! Be prepared for a loooong slow burn though; the first several books don’t even really feel like a normal story. Give it time. This is perhaps the most amazing and massive universe I’ve ever seen in literature. The secrets and reveals and mysteries just keep coming - and we got so many answer this book! Unfortunately, as always, with answers come more questions.
This series follows earth/human development into a galactic superpower (and beyond), from their first steps into space to trans-galactic journeys over the course of 150,000+ years. So much happens, so much is revealed. Man, what a cool series!
This is the longest sci-fi series I've read and the more recent books in the series are very short with most being less than 100 pages. Having said that I still look forward to the continuing saga of Star Force and the crazy universe as the Star Force "Light Side" continues to battle all the evil aliens the universe throws their way. If you are looking at jumping into this series I would encourage you to start at the beginning, get threw a few books and I'll bet you keep going as its that good :-)
Fantastic chapter in this ever expanding story. Mega battles. New mysteries. New races. Old races. Favorite characters. Even the spice lords! Many different pieces that are setting up even more reveals. Great book.
Yikes when the galaxy isn't big enough for both...the war is coming and sidea are being drawn...allied gather but who will when in the end the light or the dark?
As always Aer-ki Jyr rise up to the challenge and gives us a book full of action intrigue and lightside pilosophy that I am unable to stop reading and now I will have to wait another month for the next one. Please hurry up.
So light of reading, that one is finished within a day, yet so much storyline to sort through with the time between books, it seems one needs to reread previous books to get the full story. This may just be me.
Challenges set out for the clones/offspring. Some more battles. Plot twist or just a new revelation. Only a brief mention from events in the last book.
