APOCALYPTIC WINDS: Thermals Of Time Book Three

Rate this book
When a pandemic is finally over, is it over forever?

For Charlene and her peers who were born after the apocalyptic events of their parent's generation, the lasting legacy of the V-1 virus is death.

It isn't death by disease but death by altered DNA. And not just Charlene's own death or the loss of her companions, but the imminent extinction of the human species.

In visions, Charlene has seen the only man who might save her and the rest of humanity - if she can only find him. She doesn't even know where to look. She only knows he is somewhere west.

Most of humanity died out years ago in a devastating viral pandemic. Slavery has returned to New Dixie. Charlene has only two options, escape and go west or die.

There are many outstanding writers with degrees from elite universities. I am not one of them. My only advanced degree is a master’s from the school of hard knocks. At a very young age, I learned to read. Since then, I have spent much of my life reading to learn. I developed my writing skills the old-fashioned way. By reading, writing, and writing and reading some more. A lifelong love of learning and a vivid imagination are the driving forces behind my writing. I am an explorer of things imagined, of places and times that for now exist only in the mind.
When not exploring alternate and future realities through reading and writing, I love hiking and exploring the wonders of nature. Especially in Colorado’s unspoiled remote wilderness areas.

I thought the story line was a little bit unusual. 20 years after most people die from a virus, and the only babies being born are female. So the few men there are left are being shared by the women and they are all trying to have a baby boy.

The story was interesting and kept me reading. Because I had not read the first two books in the series, some of the parts of the book were a little bit confusing - characters having "visions" and the way they "shared". The characters were well developed, the ones that were integral to the story were easy to either like or dislike. It was a good book, and I will be looking for the others in the series.

Great read

I gave this book 5 stars. Great read. I would recommend this book for most anyone. Very engaging not able to put down. It gives the reader food for thought. If we as a species do not put aside our hate an discontent this very book may be as it will be written.

Don't waste your time.

There was very little to like about this entire series. It jumps from one thing to another with no connection. I started the series with great expectation and kept thinking it would get better but it never did.
