A stolen crown. A rejected mate. And a fight for survival…or revenge.
The only child of the Starcrosses, and the last of the true royals, Delina was destined for greatness.
The entire world talked about how many children she would bear. If the line would flourish through her or end with her.
On the night of her first shift, people came from far and wide to see her transformation from woman to wolf. Her fated mate, who she’d dreamed of more nights than she could count, who’d stolen her first kiss and made butterflies dance in her stomach without end, would also be there. Ready to introduce his wolf to her wolf. Ready to take their now into a life of forever.
But no one expected that the night of her first shift would also be the last night of her freedom.
There’s no denying that Delina shifted into a beautiful wolf. But sometimes beauty is also a curse. Accompanying her pitch black fur was a line of silver and eyes so blue they shone in the darkness of the night.
The elders had seen a wolf like that before. They’d known of its powers, too. Powers that were not of their world.
Powers that needed to be destroyed.
Even if it meant destroying the Princess in the process.
The Rejected is a rejected mate wolf shifter romance for of-age readers. Delina might be a princess, but she’s a beast on the battleground, feisty as a whip, and determined to bring hell down on the ones who betrayed her.
Started off pretty good, the spicy scene kinda came out of no where and very cringe timing. I didn’t think the book would cover that much time of her being sent away. HATED the male characters name. No idea how to pronounce it. I finally hated it when his name came up it just made me so frustrated trying to figure it out. Anyways... stopped ready because when she got “rescued” I just kept rolling my eyes. She was acting like a baby and they were being weird. They kept getting spicy in weird places where normal people wouldn’t exactly be thinking “oh now is a good time for this”. Like bro.. you’re fighting for your life. I liked the FMC but not the love interest or friend. It just wasn’t for me, although I did try to keep going.
Several times during chapter one I considered giving up on this author. Besides the typos that continue throughout, there are grammar issues and even a plot error. Now that I've read the entire book I can look back and see enough potential that I *may* read another, but not in this series. I'm hoping a later work will show great improvement. Time will tell.
I really enjoy reading rejected mates stories from how hard they fall to how they rise. I found this read was alright hoping it was going to get better. I will definitely consider reading the next book.
