Cavalier The Poet is the alias of queer California-based author and poet Ryan Cavalier. Raised in Marin County in a family of nine, schooled in Marin and San Francisco, Cavalier studied Writing at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Inspired by a wide variety of influences from Beat Poetry to techno, ancient mythology to redwood forests, Cavalier brings brutally honest, emotionally and stylistically complex writing that communicates a relatable, haunting, funny, human journey of self-discovery. As life grows and evolves, so does his writing. A follow up book to HIPPOCAMPUS [pub. April 20, 2021] is coming to form.
